Corning, N.Y. (WENY) -- Arbor Housing and Development has officially made an offer to buy the former Northside Blodgett Middle School. They made a $200,000 bid for the vacant Corning middle school. The Corning-Painted Post School Board will vote Wednesday night on the offer. If approved, the public will vote on the sale in the fall. Northside Blodgett has been closed for two years

In the start of February, almost 200, 000 people came over to Daytona to see the Daytona 500 which is the season-opener. Daytona 500 NASCAR History: Daytona 500 is considered to be the successor of the short lap races that were arranged on the beach several years before the inaugural. Alongside the highway, these tracks arranged, and only the windshields wipers were used by the drivers to battle the sand. 1959 is the opening year of the Daytona 500; this was the first time when the most lovable race arranged on the Daytona International Speedway on the Daytona Beach. By the year 1961, the race was renowned by its cognomen- the ‘Daytona 500’.
In the short story, “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson every year on June 27th the village of 300 people gather in the town square and attend the lottery. The lottery in their town isn't like the lottery we have today because if a person gets the black spot on their paper they will get stoned to death. The purpose of the lottery is that it has been a tradition for many years and they want to keep the tradition going. First of all, in the short story the oldest man in town who is 80 years old and supports the lottery the most is Old Man Warner. He mention that, “There’s always been a lottery” (p.22, lines 262-263).
Today, my dad is going to a meeting of the Stamp Act Congress to discuss how they going to deal with this new tax. They passed a tax on anything made of paper in March of this year and we only have until November to stop the Stamp Act from completely going into effect. (americanclass.org) Let's see.. it's April now... So, we only have five months to stop it from being fully enacted. My family has been split on their feelings about the Stamp Act.
