Abstract
This study is designed to overview the benefits of peer coaching for enhancing teacher’s class room efficiencies. The study has been conducted in Feza College context where school has adopted peer-coaching approach. However through study it has been identified that further development and improvements needs to be done in order to enhance the implementation of peer coaching technique in Feza College. Furthermore the researcher has adopted qualitative method approach in order to gather detailed information regarding peer coaching from Feza College. Interviews data has helped researcher in identifying the benefits of peer coaching approach. It also identified the need of improvement on peer coaching technique for getting its full benefits

It provides subjective form of data whereas; quantitative research approach provides objective type of data (Suárez-Barraza, Ramis-Pujol, & Mi Dahlgaard-Park, 2013). Moreover, another major difference between quantitative and qualitative research approach is that, data gathered from quantitative research method is easy to analyse as compare to data gathered from qualitative research approach (Neuman, 2003). In addition, as compare to qualitative data, quantitative research approach is considered as more generalized approach as it gather data from large number of population (Zikmund, Babin, Carr, & Griffin, …show more content…
These benefits can enhance the effectiveness of the school for long run. Furthermore, according to E.F Goldman et al (2012) it has been identified that interpersonal skills and non directive interpersonal skills can also be learnt through effective implementation and adoption of peer coaching approach in a school (E. F. Goldman, Wesner, Karnchanomai, & Haywood, 2012).
Peer coaching sessions could contain different lectures, practices for observations, conferences, role playing practices, demonstrations, presentations, outside readings, group discussions and opportunities for reflections (Hopkins & Harris, 2013). Peer coaching process get accomplished after completing four stages or cycle which include preconference, classroom observation, posit observation conference and follow up sessions (Avalos, 2011).
Conclusion
Effective adoption and implementation of peer coaching approach could improve the performance of teachers in Feza College as peer coaching approach provides the opportunity to teachers that they can enhance classroom effectiveness through their enhanced skills and
U6: Establishing audiences Quantitative: Quantitative research is a form of research where people are asked something with a simple answer that can be quantified afterwards to represent a larger group. This type of research has simpler answers (yes or no) than qualitative which has more complicated answer (such as a paragraph of text) that can not be quantified but tells a lot more information with 1 answer. Quantitative research is quicker and easier to gather result. Quantitative research can be used for things such as seeing how much of the population in the UK like corn flakes. They would do this by making a survey with a simple answers for the person being surveyed to choose from, the people doing the survey would be people chosen at random
In the realm of sports psychology, there are two main theories of how coaching influences motivation, the Behavioral Approach to Coaching (BAC) and the Self-Determination Theory (SDT). Both theories work in different ways in order to increase motivation and produce desired behaviors from athletes. The Behavioral Approach to Coaching utilizes operant conditioning to shape desired behaviors. Operant conditioning concerns the relationship between three events, called contingencies.
P3 research: I will now compare different research methodologies for health and social care. There are two types of research that are commonly used when research projects are being taken out, which aim to benefit health and social care related services. These two types of research are called quantitative research and qualitative research. The difference between these two is how they collect the information they need in different way and use different kinds of sources, but both benefit the health system. Without research being carried out medical professionals/and laboratory scientists would not be able to provide us with improved medications that can improve our health.
Coaching is a useful way of developing people skills and abilities, and of coarse boosting performance. It can also help deal with
1. How can you channel the individual and peer supervision sessions to encourage and empower Nuria and to foster her belief in her own strengths, competencies, and self-efficacy, using a wellness and positive psychology approach? Nuria presents with feelings of disappointment and a sense of failure due to recently met adversity while attempting to teach a predominately Jewish class. She reports that despite her best efforts the students remain unreceptive to her teaching methods.
‘Everything in coaching hinges on listening – especially listening with the client’s agenda in mind. The coach listens at many levels simultaneously to hear where the clients are in their process, to hear where they are out of balance, to hear their progress on the journey of fulfillment’ (Whitworth et al, 2007). Allison and Harbour (2009) suggest that we listen on three distinct levels - the first level is internal listening (self-talk), then active listening, with the ultimate level being intuitive listening, where the coach ‘listens for thought patterns, detects areas that are left unsaid and senses the feelings that lie under the surface of the conversation’. Similarly, Whitworth et al (2007), also cite three similar levels of listening – internal, focused and global listening.
Some people say it is better to grow up in a small town, while some people say it’s better to grow up in a big city. I believe that it is better to grow up in a small town rather than big city. I have lived in both a small town, and a big city. I feel that a small town will be better for the following reasons. If a student was to be put in a small town school, the school would have a lot more one on one time than a school in a big city school.
Through coaching, one can overcome some obstacles he may face in life as he builds on his talent. One is also able to convert ideas into reality during the process of coaching. Through coaching, one can prioritize on what is important to him and achieve it fast and the rest later. The role of the coach is to nurture that talent and make sure that it grows further.
For this assignment, we were asked to conduct coaching sessions in groups of three with our colleagues for two months and draft a reflective essay on our experience. I hope this reflective essay will help me understand the in-depth concepts of coaching while helping me interact and respond better to people in different situations.
27 articles of the 2,148 total met the needed criteria, and were analyzed. She found that good, encouraging relationships with peers were likely to have a positive impact on educational and personal development. If interpersonal relationships such as student-teacher and peer relationships aren’t substantial, it can have a negative impact on the student’s well being, and even have an impact on psychological stress and mental illness. Peer acceptance was a vital factor, and contributed significantly to a sense of belonging in secondary school
Any feedback should be confidential so as not to identify any individual coachee. 1.3 Present the case for using coaching or mentoring to benefit individuals and organisation performance. Benefits to the individual Coaching and mentoring when delivered in a structured and engaging manner can bring significant benefits to an individual in both personal and professional development. Both approaches help develop and increased level of confidence and self-awareness, improved inter-personal skills, managing conflict and enhanced leadership skills (Roberts 2000, Beamont 2002). They provide the opportunity for feedback on strengths and areas for development in a safe, judgmental environment and can help accelerate learning.

The paper reflects on my experience during the teaching practicum. Initially, it analyses the strategies my Mentor Teacher (MT) adopted in her teaching and interaction with the students. Additionally, it analyses the techniques I employed to motivate, monitor, and manage students during my teaching practice. Finally, it discusses how I will improve my teaching in terms of instructional strategies, classroom interaction, objectives-activities-assessments alignment, and classroom management.
The term Research Methodology refers to a set of procedures, methods & techniques that are put together by the researchers to obtain a solution to the problems they confront during the collection of data. The researchers look for the most crucial data which is inevitable for the research. Generally there are three kinds of approaches or research methods namely Qualitative, Quantitative and Mixed. These methods are used to gather data and resolve issues that emerge during the process of data gathering. The researcher can bring forward his findings either in the form of quantitative or qualitative or mixed research methodologies only when the data is collected based on the preliminary data gathering process and the secondary data gathering process.
Due to indiscipline situation students arrive late for class, are not punctual for the classes or simply bunk classes as the class is not very interesting or rather as a teacher we are unable to create interest in the class .This may be a result of lack of lesson planning .At times effective management of time is also overlooked. Non verbal cues like body language and communication skills also play a major role in making the class effective. Problems of Classroom Management can be overcome by being prepared for class, motivating the students, providing a comfortable learning environment, building students’ self esteem, being creative and imaginative in daily lessons. A teacher should not carry personal problems to the class by being impulsive.
