People Should Donate Toys/Food/Clothes to People who Need It
By. Emily M . Organ
Do you wonder who is really in need? Will I do this is my opinion and this is what I believe. I STRONGLY believe that people should donate toys, food, and clothes to people who really need it. There is people out in this world who needs food toys, foods, or clothes. There is 100 million kids who sit out there waiting to be feed waiting to have clean clothes, waiting to play with toys. I'm going to talk about three reasons why people should donate toys, food, and clothes or all because There is 100 million kids in need. Also, People wait to eat to eat, get clean clothes, and to play. Lastly, They need it. This is all i'm going to talk about.
There is 100 Million People in Need
First of all there is 100 million people in need and the need help! Next, People that are in need the braley get food the just starve, sometimes they never have clean clothes, some even just has old ripped up clothes and they sometimes have no toys and what are they gonna do with no toys.?!?! However, people think that when people but up signs that say like ‘‘ Plz help’’ or some people will have there whole family on the street, people say that they are just

People in need never have that much stuff above all of the stuff we have in this world the have less than any of us in the WORLD!!! For example, the people in need they probably just have old clothes, old toys or no toys, and no food probably just expreaded food. Us we have electronic, new clothes good clothes, good food new food, new toys good toys, hair brushes, hair stuff, take showers, has school , and friends. Them dont have some of this stuff they probably has hair brushes, friends, and some hair stuff . We have all of this if we don't then were probably getting one. This is what I mean that they need
If someone goes shopping and spends hundreds of dollars on items and don’t donate, that says something about who they are as a person. While shopping a constant reminder is right there. A sad, innocent, starving, child stares up begging for someone to help. While the shopper may be well-off or struggling to put groceries on the table for their family, they then realize that there is someone out there who has it much worse. Shoppers who may not be very eager to donate begin to see how ignoring this world problem makes reflects on them as a person.
In this world thousands of people are in hunger. Some of the kids who go to school are part of this world hunger because they may only be getting their meals from school. Their lunch may be their last meal of the day. Also the parents who work in restaurants may not make enough money to feed their kids and pay bills. People are in need of food so they are not starving and dying because they cannot eat.
‘Treat others the way you want to be treated’ has been etched into our brains since grade school and yet, somehow many people have forgotten this golden rule. As we pass the poor on the streets, do we stop to take a second look? Or do we keep walking, because we know we’ll never see them again. Around the world, people beg for food or money due to losing their job or home. The highest population of homeless people on our earth resides in Budapest, Hungary.
I'm not going to ask you to donate money. I know thats not possible for every person. But we can still help by donating items that women and children need when going to the shelter. This includes clothes, food, hygiene products, and more. A simple box or bag of old clothes
One article that demonstrates the significance of helping those less fortunate is Andrew Carnegie's The Gospel of Wealth. In spite of his disapproval of contributing directly to the poor out of concern about financial mismanagement, Carnegie is trying to convey a common message. We must give in order to better our society. One quote that shows this ideal is ¨In bestowing charity, the main consideration should be to help those who will help themselves; to provide part of the means which by those who desire to improve may do so; to give those who desire to rise the aids by which they may rise ; to assist, but rarely or never to do all.¨(Carnegie Paragraph 2). Some articles like LifeBoat Ethics by Garret Hardin state that giving is not needed and it wont make a difference.
As a candidate for the National Junior Honor Society, I understand that is it not important to only have good grades and help the community. Being in NJHS means that you have to be a role model to everyone around you. A role model is someone who is a leader, demonstrates citizenship, and has good character. One aspect of being a role model is having leadership. Honesty, integrity, commitment, passion, accountability, and empathy are some of the qualities that all leaders should have.
They are trying to survive and support their families when in reality they are supporting strangers more than their own
In Singer’s “The Singer Solution to World Poverty,” he argues the importance of donation to poor people, which could mean the difference between life and death for children in need. He gives an example for Bob, who has an opportunity to save a child’s life, but he could lose his worthy car. He makes a comparison between people who are capable to donate money to save children lives and people who have no chance to help or donate under certain situation such as Bob. He also encourages people who are in the middle class to donate at a minimum of 200$; furthermore, he thinks that people should donate more like 200.000$ when they consider the level of sacrifice that they would demand of Bob’s situation. He gives some estimates for the amount of donations that people should give to overseas.
Audience: People ignorant about the struggles of homelessness and would rather make homeless people “disappear” than help them Message/Goal of this piece: Addressing the issue of homelessness and raising awareness to this program as an alternative to making it a crime to be living in poverty. It shows that chromic homelessness can be solved Behaviors/ Aspects of society being satirized: The treatment and attitude towards homelessness and homeless people e.g. banning, arresting, and giving them fines. This piece shows the ridiculousness of the anti-homeless argument and that they are lazy moochers undeserving of help. People who would rather spend to criminalize homelessness than use the same time/money/resources to help fix this problem Background
Our group has decided to volunteer with Feed My Starving Children(FMSC) which was founded in 1987. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. Its mission is to feed God’s starving children in different countries who are hungry in body and spirit. Their process is simple. Donations from people fund the meal ingredients and volunteers hand-pack the meals.
PERSUASIVE SPEECH ORGAN DONATION How do you feel when you have to wait for something you really, really want? What if it was something you couldn’t live without? I will talk about organ donation and hope that you will take my veiws on organ donation on board and give someone the most amazing gift after you have passed away, the gift of life. At this moment in the US there are 84 000 U.S patients waiting for an organ transplant. The number of people on the waiting list is increasing every day.
and I wouldn’t help them myself. I always thought if you wanted to change something then you could. As I read “What Is Poverty?” by Jo Goodwin Parker, I began to feel differently, however I then believed maybe there are some impoverished people that do need help. I believed that some people
Imagine being so hungry you can’t even move. Having to sleep in a house made of dirt, or being so thirsty because there is no safe drinking water. People around the World face these problems everyday. 328,000,000 children live in extreme poverty, and 1 in 10 people live on less than $1.90 a day. The conditions they live in are horrible and everyone should do what they can to help end poverty and world hunger.
Since 1990, the world has reduced the number of people who live in extreme poverty by over half. But that still leaves 767 million people living on the edge of survival with less than $1.90 a day.2 The numbers of world hunger has gone down by a lot, but yet world hunger is still going on. Some of the poorest countries in the world have few to no jobs, and the few jobs that there are, are paid very little each day. Survival is key to these people and with the little money they have, it’s hard to do that. Across the globe, conflicts consistently disrupt farming and food production.
Christmas plays a huge role in every kid’s childhood, but not every kid is fortunate enough to have one. No matter what situation my family has been in I was always fortunate to wake up Christmas morning to gift under the tree, but now I understand that Christmas is not about what you get, but about what you are able to give back. To play a part in something as beautiful as in helping a kid have a better childhood really touched my heart and helped me see past the material things in life. Often people take for granted that they have gifts under the tree, or the luxury of having an iPhone, or nice clothes, but never stop to realize that there are people in the same community that don’t even have the luxury of waking up to a hot meal or clean clothes to wear. I can see, that a small personal gift under the tree can bring joy to a kid’s life, but it is also much more.
