Archetypes in literature are often seen as courageous and selfless individuals. When no one else seems willing to go the distance or go that extra mile, they do. Aside from this, they are also seen as the underdog; when all odds are against them they persevere. A great example of this is seen in the “Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Lightning Thief” written by Rick Riordan.
