If you are a family then choose 2-3 options of picnic and discuss the pros and cons of the locations with your group. Choose your location type such as mountain hiking, local park, theme park, camping etc depending upon your choide. You must choose the location wisely as per your preferences. There should be little touch of adventure but do not choose something very difficult that will be beyond your limits. Choose a location where you can enjoy and have fun and consider surroundings and weather conditions while leaving.
Equipments for picnic -- there are some equipments that are essential if you are looking to go on a picnic. Food, paper plates, water bottles, napkins and glasses are a few to remember. Although there is no rule book for equipments needed for picnic, these will definitely come handy in most of the cases.

Apart from that if you are going for a picnic where you can easily buy some softdrinks or fruit juices then do not carry those with you as it will be additional burden. If you are going to make some homemade drink or juice then you can carry that special drink for yourself and your guests too. Consider the season and your group’s choice while packing the drinks.
Entertainment -- you are going on a picnic for fun and recreation and obviously outdoor games is the best way to refresh yourself. A History of the World in Six Glasses, by Tom Standage, tells how drinks shaped our history. There are 6 major drinks: beer, wine, spirits, coffee, tea, and cola. As the drinks changed, the culture changed with them. Each drink defined the culture in that time period. In the opinion of this student, beer is the most important because it led to writing, the first settlements, money, and medicine while spirits only had bad influences.
Once the area was chosen everyone would put their belongings down including food. Food was brought for everyone to share. The adults would help set up as the children ran down to the lake. My church works with the church of Elk Creek to set up for the camp a few days before it begins. When camp starts, my fellow youth members and I assumed the role of summer camp counselors for the children of the Elk Creek area. I hate marching band. Leaving the trap of a class was the best decision I made in my high school experience. Once I was through with band, I joined theater.
