A more accurate representation of the relationship is that high performance contributes to high job satisfaction as shown in the figure. The sequence is that better performance typically leads to higher economic, sociological, and psychological rewards. If these rewards are seen as fair and equitable, then improved satisfaction develops because employees feel that they are receiving rewards in proportion to their performance. On the other hand, if rewards are seen as inadequate for one’s level of performance, dissatisfaction tends to arise. In either case, one’s level of satisfaction leads to either greater or lesser commitment, which then affects efforts and eventually performance again. This method mainly focuses to evaluate employee’s capabilities for achievement and define the standards for both short and long term performance.
Under this method it is further classified, they are

a. Management by Objectives (MBO):
MBO is a process that converts organizational objectives into individual objectives. It is an individual appraisal method which determines task-related results rather than behaviors or activities. It is a result oriented appraisal. MBO involves regular evaluation and feedback in order to reach the target.
In this approach employees are evaluated by how well they accomplish a specific set of objectives that have been determined to be critical in the successful completion of their job. It consists of four major step that is goal setting, action planning, self-control and periodic reviews.

b. Psychological Appraisal:
Most of the large organizations employ full time industrial psychologists. The psychologist doesn’t evalutate the past performance of the employees in the organization rather they use to evaluate their future potential. The appraisal normally consists of in depth interviews, psychological tests, discussions with supervisors and a review of other evaluations. India is basically an agriculture-based country. It is after the independence India has given importance to the growth of industrial development through 5 year planning programs. Government has taken a leading march to have the movement of industrialization.
For any country, small or big, developed or developing need good infrastructure facilities such as roads, dams, tunnels and railway service etc and the infrastructural facilities are the primary need for the transportation or movement of goods. Roads play an important role in this aspect.
Tremendous development has taken place in science and technology, which has mechanized every field. Manually carried out work is less productive and time existence and almost every field is mechanized. As such, the demand for such mechanical equipments has increased tremendously.
