I will summarize each outcome for the Nursing Informatics specialty. For the intent of this paper I will use outcome and competency interchangeably. The first outcome means the ability to gather healthcare information across the continuum of care; combine and utilize the information gathered to develop a process. Finally execution of that process to evaluate its ability to improve the quality of the healthcare environment. Healthcare managers are constantly assessing patients and collecting information.
People of today are now considering a surgical technologist’s job as one of the most promising careers in the field of health care. As a matter of fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the number of surgical technologists to increase 30% by 2022. This leaves behind all the other occupations with their projected 11% growth. The BLS projection simply indicates that the said profession is continually growing which brings along great news for many aspirants. Another thing that might entice a lot of surgical tech wanna-bes is the good compensation they can enjoy.
All members of the healthcare team will communicate through EMR, thus it is crucial that we are all competent digital communicators. This competency will lead to less errors, more precise orders and thorough
Introduction The scope of the nursing practice is changing with the improvement of technology. Computer and information technology is just as important to nurses as their stethoscopes, so implementing and using Medical Information Technology (MEDITECH) an Electronic Health Records (EHR) is vital in improving patient care. The importance and knowledge of the possibilities and limitations of EHR systems is brought up throughout this paper. Chilton Hospital and Fairmont General Hospital review their possibilities and limitations about using MEDITECH.
Surgical technology is a profession meant for people who don’t visualize their selves working in front of a computer, spending their whole day with paper works or waiting for the time to pass. This line of work suits well for those individuals who are hungry for action. It is a career made for the brave, the fast and the people who consider themselves as OCDs. Surgical technologists are the “worker bees” of the operating room.

Practice Fusion Electronic Health Record (EHR) System MEA-131 Ms. Slade June 17, 2016 Sharon Liles Practice Fusion Electronic Health Record (EHR) System Technology and the evolution of Electronic Health Records is an improvement to the efficiency and the effectiveness of how healthcare providers record, communicate and process patient information. According to Practice Fusion, “since 2005, the focus of Practice Fusion is expanding the ability to aggregate clinical data and share it meaningfully, by helping to make healthcare better for everyone. To improve clinical decision, support to tracking Meaningful Use, and provide insight that deliver better, safer and more efficient
Many healthcare organizations had to implement an electronic health records system (EHR) to meet certain guidelines set forth by the government. This was a technology that the clinic implemented years ago to meet the needs of the patient, the requirements of the insurance companies, lean processes, and government regulations. This software helped also look for opportunities to treat our patients better and track data for population health. HG Clinic is investing in a new billing system that will allow them to track patient data better and improved billing process. These are just examples of opportunities that the clinic implemented and are continuously evaluating their current software and equipment and looking for opportunities for

Interprofessional teamwork has become essential part of health care system in order to improve the quality of care. Many researches has suggested that collaboration of health care workers has impacted the patient care outcome in a positive way, as well as assisting to avoid errors by, “watching each other’s backs” (Cherry & Jacob, p 398). Furthermore, “Important indicators of safety, patient care, and environment of care, such as complications and error rate, length of hospital stay, conflict among caregivers, staff turnover, and mortality rate, have all been shown to decrease in collaborative care environment” (Green & Johnson, 2015, p. 2) In recent years, nurses are in front line in running health care in USA. According to Lomax and White (2015), the Institute of Medicine (IOM) published the report stating that in order to provide safe and high-quality care, it is crucial for nursed to collaborate with other health care professionals (para. 6).
Begin by reviewing my current position and my current skills and knowledge. Assess them against the identified competencies required to do my job and against the competencies that I will require in the future. Once I have identified the knowledge and skills I need, I should be able to identify areas wich I require professional development. Take ownership of my career, assess my knowledge and skills and focus on my professional development, then I will be able to recognise opportunity and be able to help, influence and lead others by
I am excited to be a part of Nursing Informatics. I was not sure what to expect, as this is my first online class. Since starting, I was suprised to see how Nursing Informatics applies to me at work. As I was taking the assessment, I discovered how much I enjoy working in the Electronic Medical Record. The Cerner program I use at the hospital gives me quicker access to patient information, improves efficiency, and reduces the potential for drug errors.

In the medical field, there is always trained personnel involved in the process when they are operating the robot during surgery, but in the military that is not always the case. Implementing robots in the military can prevent drafts and save the lives of those serving and their families, but technology is advancing to the creation of autonomous robot military systems that could threaten these prospects.
