Is it having lots of money, have a family and believe in religion. Maybe life in completely random with no meaning at all and we just are here for no reason. We do not know the answer to that and we will never know. What we do know is how to spend our days on this planet. We try to fill our lives with things that make us happy. We buy nice things and surround ourselves with similar people to enjoy ourselves because we already do despise ourselves or we are afraid that we will one day if we don't fill our lives with pointless things. We are afraid that we will have a low Self-Esteem and not be happy. But that does not matter. People get into a mentality that everything revolves around Self-Esteem. However having a low Self-Esteem isn't all bad because it can lead to self improvement. On the contrary having a high self esteem always does not lead to any change and leads to overconfidence. Being overconfident gives you a false perception of you and the world around you. You have to beat the perception given by others in order for you to be happy. There is a big difference from being happy on the surface and actually being happy. Being happy on the Surface could lead to a low Self-Esteem and on the other hand being happy on the inside leads to a high

There are two reasons as to why this was the book for my summer reading project. The lesser one being that there was a movie of it out. Another reason, and what influenced me the most was the title. The novel told the story of a Wallflower. In all the stories I have read so far in my lifetime, the protagonists were never solitary people like Charlie.
The meaning of life is very subjective, and it varies from person to person. This is what Richard Dawkins was attempting to say when he said that life was “as wonderful as we choose to make it”. He is not the only person that believes this though. Existentialist writers such as F. Scott Fitzgerald have been trying to get this point across their whole careers. Fitzgerald conveys this message throughout his novel, The Great Gatsby.

Charlie was the main character that represents the harsh reality of high school and how people we know aren’t truly themselves around us. Charlie wrote these so-called letters to his friend in hopes of finding a way to release all his anger, depression, and grief thrown into him from the world falling apart in front of his eyes. Since he persevered through his difficult time, this character also helped me tackled the monsters that ran the circus in my
