I have known Utkarsh since October 2011, i.e. when he joined Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. or POWERGRID. I was his direct supervisor during this period. As Executive Trainee, his designated role was to look after the O&M of three different substations of the company in rotation. However, seeing his eagerness to contribute to a live ongoing project, I assigned him a role in the waylaid Rosa-Bareilly transmission line project. He was responsible for all site-related jobs such as tower erection, stringing, ROW (right of way) clearances, and crop compensation works. Although Utkarsh does not report to me anymore, I have kept close contact with him as his mentor and friend. Utkarsh is certainly one of the brightest and most talented engineers I have worked with. I have seen him handle managerial level jobs with ease. He is a quick learner and has extraordinary organizational and planning skills. When he joined the Rosa-Bareilly project, the project was lagging behind schedule by four months. His efficient resource planning played …show more content…
He was always ahead in completing his regular assignments and expected the same from everyone else on the team. He sometimes lacked patience with other departments and was disappointed if they could not be up to speed. He was distracted from his work due to such incidences. I discussed this issue with him and made him realize that these were issues that most organizations had to face and there was not much that he could do about it in this early stage of his career. I advised him not to lose patience and instead coordinate with other departments. He took my feedback with enthusiasm. He went a step further to develop friendly relations with other officers at his level from other departments. His quick follow up with department of Finance helped him arrange crop compensations quickly, which automatically resolved the right of way
I know our stand on retro pay, but I have a concern on how this particular associate was handled. Jose Lainez was part of the Menlo conversion and during the melt down. From what I know… he trained, coordinated and performed various activities which allowed Billy, Greg, and Eduardo to focus on other areas of the operation. Now I wasn’t here during that time frame, but from my stint I have observed nothing but a professional associate who would do whatever it takes to make sure Schenker is successful. In addition to that his innovative ideals has allowed us to achieve major milestones in picking and other areas of the operation.

1) Question: If you were consulting with the HTE board of directors soon after Harold started making changes, what would you advise them regarding Harold’s leadership from a transformational perspective? Answer: Firstly, transformational leadership is a process that does exactly how it sounds, it transforms people. Through this sort of leadership, it is involved in being concerned with things such as standards, values, ethics, emotions, and long-term goals. If I were consulting with the HTE board of directors I would advise regarding Harold’s lack of awareness for those around himself and how that was making him an ineffective president.
What does success mean to me? It means accomplishing things in life and reaching your goals. Everyone has a different view of what success actually is. Success also means setting a goal and reaching it in a time frame you set for yourself. For example I believe finishing college and gaining a career in a field you love is being successful because it is a goal that can be achieved.
My Greatest Accomplishment A truly great accomplishment is something that lasts and requires determination and extensive effort. For me, making the Texas Small School All-State Mixed Choir was my biggest accomplishment because it opened me up to new passions, taught me how to work hard, and set me on the path I am on today. In my sophomore year, I joined choir simply to get my fine arts credit out of the way.
A sense of accomplishment is invaluable to a person. Not only does a sense of accomplishment build confidence and faith in oneself, but it also allows one to reflect on how wonderful the journey to the accomplishment was, and how every little struggle and triumph was worth it. In the middle of summer, where time seems endless and the stress of the previous school year has been shed by students, I never expected to find out that I scored a five on both of the advanced placement exams I took. Nor did I have one-hundred percent confidence the goals we set as section leaders of the marching band would actually be met. Yet to my surprise, I had the good fortune of accomplishing challenging things in both aspects of my life.
Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be successful in life. I have always wanted to be the better version of my parents and achieve many things in life. During my freshman year in High school, I knew I was going to major in business. I come from a household of five, my father, mother, two younger sisters, and myself. I am the first in my family to go to college and with that being said, I have always felt the pressure to be the best role model and example for my younger sisters.
