Personality is the focus of how people interact with one another in each day of life. Personality gives the basis for comprehending why our lives look like our own and not like that of our neighbors. In the choice of a job, a partner, or home, our personality guides our choices and the path taken by our lives (Cohen, Panter, Turan, Mrse, & Kim, 2014, pp. 944-945). According to Cohen, Panter, Turan, Mrse, and Kim (2014), the employers, and the employees should embrace personality factors in the workplaces instead of ignoring them.

Furthermore, he continues also to say that trying to suppress personality can result in frustrated and dissatisfied employees. When the manager comprehends the personality roles in the workplace, he or she can use it to grow the company and move it forward. The following are the role of personality in the workplaces;

Creativity
A person’s personality aids him or her in thinking creatively. In the cases where the employees are allowed to use their creativity in coming up with the solution on matters affecting the company, the company benefits from a wider variety of options and the ideas. It is the duty of the manager to keep in check creativity of his employees for it will also prevent personality of aggressiveness from dominating (Yesil & Sozbilir, 2013).
Retention
Increasing job satisfaction and reducing the employee turnover can be facilitated by appealing to an employee's personality. For a team to perform effectively, the team individual must have some personality trait that results in a maximum yield of the organizational team goals (Zaidi, Wajid, Zaidi, Zaidi, & Zaidi, 2013). Some of these personality types that make a well-rounded team are:

It is essential to have a leader before beginning any project. The leader is in charge of the organizational team that is working towards achieving a specific goal. He is responsible for facilitating communication between the members of the team, mediating conflicts and ensuring everyone is focused of the course. A good leader knows how to delegate and let go of the reins (Anderson, Spataro, & Flynn, 2008, p. 708).
The team player
A best team player is characterized by their enthusiasm to work together for the best interest of the organization. They are diplomatic, very much willing to help, willing to compromise and eager to help (Driskell, Goodwin, Salas, & O'Shea, 2006, p. 257).
