My personality type
After I took the personality test, I discover I am an INFJ (intuitive, feeling, and judging). It is a new experience for me that there are 16 types of personality types. I have understood my own personality and, I have understood and accept people who are different from me because everyone’s personality differs from one another. According to Myers-Briggs type indicator, only 1 percent of the population has an INFJ personality type. I have realized more my unique personalities. Knowing this new thing helps me to expand my skills and develop my relationships with others. Being an INFJ, I feel deep and have the most wide and emotions passions. I really affected by other person’s feelings. I always make any decision with my heart. I am empathetic, warm, and caring to help others. I always ready to help with actions. For this reason, I am always the first to help my close friend when they have problems, my friends tell their secrets to find out the solution. At my work place, I always enjoy helping students who need assisted. As I work at Montgomery College at counseling and Advising Center at Takoma Park campus. As portrait of INFJ, “INFJs have uncanny insight into people and situations. They get "feelings" about things and intuitively understand them.” I addition, I always interact with different students

I have been taking general major courses to know which major is good for me. College coursework can be tough on anyone, even the most determined of students. Look at Bill Gates! Though he eventually became a success, he was first popular for being a university dropout. As a college student, I try my best to get good grades. In the beginning of since I started classes at Montgomery College. Part of my goal in college is also to learn skills that could potentially be useful to me in the future. This goal also extends to take Bio 150, as I plan to use the knowledge I gain here to gain my
Every student is unique and learns better from different techniques. Some students are visual learners and others are verbal learners. In most cases students prefer certain subject fields over others. For instance, I love learning about math and science but I don’t really care for social studies.
When I was a student at Gallaudet University, I found college to be difficult. After five years, I was a junior. I faced many challenges. One challenge was the wrong major. I picked the Graphic Design major that I thought was the 3D Game designer.
While these were common struggles I was also finding difficulty in figuring out what I wanted to do. I entered UCI as a Psychology and Social Behavior major and with advices from other people I was pursuing Pre-Med as well and I started taking chemistry and biology classes. However, I was quick to find out that these classes were not for me which was reflected in my grades in those courses. Even though the initial couple of months were difficult, I found what I was passionate about which were the criminology classes that I began to take.
Something that college offers students is majors. These majors are specific to what the students want to pursue after college. They allow students to focus on specific skills, so when they graduate, they can become “agents of change” (Roth). Finding what
Lastly, I am also taking college classes to further educate myself in subjects that I enjoy. With the countless number of possible majors available, there is a great deal of classes that cover a wide variety of subjects. Attaining a college education has always been important to me and my family. My reasons for taking college classes represent my own personal will.
This decision may seem simple enough, but before the student knows it this decision launches them with huge force into a journey they never could have planned for. This decision propels their lives in a whole new direction, it influences who they meet in college, what they do there, and how they spend their time. The major they choose will also influence their lives far beyond their college careers, it will influence what jobs they earn, where they will work; it even influence how people will look at them and their social standing. Now that we have come to comprehend the gravity that this ripple has, we must ask ourselves what influences which way the wave will go, there must be some method behind this seemingly mad throw in the dark. Because after all, are students really sure of what they’re majoring in?
A personality assessment is a method of examining and knowing human personality traits, this means getting to know the characteristics of various individuals such as behavior’s and social affiliations, to actualize this, we will be applying the Myers – Briggs Types Indicator (MBTI), of emotional intelligent (EI) Key word: Personality Assessment Introduction As we recalled from the above definition of personality assessment, is a method of examining and knowing human personality traits, this means getting to know the characteristics of various individuals such as behavior’s and social affiliations, to actualize this, we will be applying the Myers – Briggs Types Indicator (MBTI), of emotional intelligent
Big Five Personality Traits The five personality dimensions OCEAN are Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism. This were defined as follow, according to Crissy (2011), Openness is the capability of appreciating art, emotion, adventure, unusual ideas, imagination, curiosity, and variety of experience. The characteristics such as imagination and insight, and those high in this trait also tend to have a broad range of interests were the traits feature in this dimension. Next is Conscientiousness this is the persons tendency to show self-discipline, act dutifully, and aim for achievement; planned rather than spontaneous behavior..
These are the few reasons why openness and willingness to change, sense of identity, authenticity and honesty and acceptance of one's power is a big part of being an effective helper. I feel all of the characteristics in this chapter sum up an effective helper but I feel that these three are the most important. As you can see my personal experience has brought me a long way and I feel it will continue to bring me further. I will use my knowledge from my past to help strengthen myself of being an effective helping
It took me a little over two years to finally decide on a major, and to this day I am still working on my biology degree as a new transfer student at Rowan University. Picking my major wasn’t an easy path, but its what I needed to do to make a final decision. The question that I mentioned earlier “ What will you be doing on this date 20 years from now?” played a huge factor in me deciding what I wanted my major to be. I couldn’t see myself working with computers for the rest of my life I found it to be quite boring, and throughout high school and even in college I always had a passion for science. Learning about animals played a huge part in me role in me picking biology as my science of choice.
It was the summer after my sophomore year in college that I discovered Communication Sciences and Disorders major that was offered at my school. After doing some research, I was sold on the idea of giving this new major a try. In all honesty, choosing CSD was one the best decision of my life. I discovered this new zeal I had for communication sciences and my concern with helping people
My high school courses consist of advanced placement courses and courses that are geared towards my interests. While I believe in achieving the most and being challenged, I also want to learn things that genuinely interest me. Learning to me comes easier if I am intrigued by the information. Ever since eighth grade, I have been interested in the medical field. I have always wanted to help people.
I have always hated writing about myself, and I always dreaded assignments in school where I had to describe myself. I always wanted to avoid doing these assignments because I did not want to sound narcissistic, or self-absorbed. I dislike people like that now, because I used to be one of those people. It took many lessons learned before I humbled myself; I am still learning to humble myself today with recent experiences I have had. Although I hate to write about myself, I have always liked to reflect on myself.

The various characteristics are: • Openness • Agreeableness • Conscientiousness • Neuroticism • Extraversion This model has gained particular popularity as it shows the different traits in a person which comes up with the situational change around the person. Shritika is an entrepreneur by profession and thus meets a lot of client in her workplace. Thus, she shows the trait of Conscientiousness in her behavior of enjoying her work and meeting up new clients is a part of her job role.
