Intolerance Essay
In this world everybody expects everybody to be something they believe to be “right”, but most people believe in what they want to do and what they want to believe in. But because of what they believe, depending on where they live they could persecuted or even put to death by people who believe in one thing and one thing only. But what does intolerance mean exactly. On dictionary.com it describes intolerance as unwillingness or refusal to tolerate or respect persons of a different social group, especially members of a minority group. This essay will target persecution of those who believe in their own way, and why it is happening or why it has happened in the past. Like in the Middle East terrorists are going around persecuting Christians. In this world there definitely is intolerance even though sometimes people think of intolerance as something else. Some people believe that if a African American is pulled over, the reason was that they were black. But even if there is biased cops most of the time there is a reason for them being pulled over. Like if there is drugs, or a unlicensed gun they still believe it is because of their race. But they still believe they did nothing wrong. But still some of the time it is for that reason, and that is wrong because everyone in this world should be equal. But in this community I haven’t really seen it or really heard of it. In school there might be something, like some kids don’t like others because of the way they act or because of some of the things they do outside of school. Even in some homes there is intolerance because of the way some people are or the religion they believe in, but parents sometimes don’t see eye to eye on some of the things their children might believe in. Even in my house there is intolerance because my brother doesn't like going places and doesn't like to do things. My mom might even sometimes get mad at him for not doing his homework and he rarely does
