As I ponder about the topic, a quote comes to my mind about the joys and sorrows of life. “Life is like a piano. Happiness is the white key and sadness is the black key, both the keys played together make the sound.” We all have faced some such scenarios in our life where we all would have felt lost, broken or abandoned. But on the brighter side if we think about these moments, they are the ones which made us strong. There was a time in my life when I felt such too, the moment I lost my father. I was lost for few months, didn’t even talk to people and wasn’t even focusing on my studies. Later one day I realized that this was not the way to deal with it. So I decided to take a break from my life and went on vacations. As planned and promised to myself that when I’ll return I’ll make my life profound and worth living, so I did. The fact about such moments is that in such moments few people are there to give you hope and strength, but I was just a hermit due to which people were not …show more content…
But at that instant moment rapidly the thing comes to my mind that people have faced much worst than that. Therefore I keep my hopes high and love to smash every goal like a wolf. My every goal done takes me one more step closer to finding peace in my life. I hope someday when I achieve all of them on my own and do every right thing I have planned, I would be able to say that I made my father proud by not giving up. Life for me now is like doing squats in a gym. It is like getting up on your own feet when the whole world if pushing you down. That feeling to get up on your own is honestly the best feeling I ever had in the world. For me I believe I am a warrior, and warriors never give up. As said “The problem is not the problem, the problem is your attitude about the problem.” I truly believe that you can change everything with the right attitude and
Other people are counting on you and looking to you for your strength and courage
The world is a mysterious place with its ups and downs. It is a place of excitement, fun, and of dreams. It is filled with wonder, beauty, and grand experiences. Unfortunately, not all experiences in life are grand. This world is also filled with sadness, hysteria, and hate.
Most people live a relatively normal day to day life even if we may have our share of mundane problems. If we are asked to describe our emotions, at the very least we can say happy or sad or fine. When we truly love something or take great pleasure in something, most of us tend to wax poetically. In contrast, there are people like Ishmael Beah whose lives started off quite normal but then it took a major wrong turn. From the tender age of ten years, Beah witnessed the horrors of war in his home country, Sierra Leone.
My journey through tough hope has affected me in many ways like this one. When I didn 't make the baseball team I really wanted to make. I was really upset and mad with myself for not making the team. I didn 't practice hard enough to make the team.
In Mark Kingwell’s excerpt, “In Pursuit of Happiness,” he discusses the challenge of defining happiness. This work serves to inform the audience on a topic they may never have considered while using evidence and support from philosophers, authors, and even scientists to contribute to various viewpoints on the subject. At the end of the excerpt, Kingwell discusses happiness, even unhappiness, and concludes with his own opinions on the subject. Since the beginning of human existence, people have tried to define happiness, but no one has described it sufficiently, which means the search continues.
When times get tough and adversity is thrown at you like a curveball all you can do is stay positive and know to never give up. Unfortunately I have had to deal with a couple scenarios where I have been faced with adversity. I have had to overcome my parents being divorced, and a family member who has overcame a drug addiction. That was one of the hardest things I was ever faced with going through middle school, but knowing that there will always be a tomorrow and to not give up on someone has had a positive impact in the end. It has brought my family closer than we have ever been.
I always find it inspiring when people fight through their struggles, become
Last year I realized I lost and had no friends, I started to get depressed and did not want to do anything anymore. I learned that this was a crisis and my adrenaline started pumping. It took me awhile to figure out I do not need anybody that does not need me. I learned that once something bad happens, you realize you are not alone in this world. Everything happens for a reason, good or bad.
Throughout the course of one’s life, there is a constant search for some form of happiness. We may not always realize we are on the quest for it, but it’s part of human nature. In “Silver Linings Playbook” we see this happen throughout with Pat and Tiffany, who are both searching for happiness. The film is relatable to us all in that many times we go looking for happiness only to come up empty-handed.
Most transformative moments in life can be caused by the smallest of occurrences in life. Often people do not even realize that a pivotal moment in their life is happening. Someone may realize when they are mature enough that there was one special moment during their childhood that ultimately determined their lifelong goal. For others, they probably realized an “aha” moment right when it happened and from then on decided that they knew what they want to accomplish later on. I actually have taken from both sides of the spectrum from realizing that one special transformative moment but also not even knowing that it would end up steering me towards my current career choice.
Grief is the price we pay for love. - Queen Elizabeth II Grief is in two parts. The first is loss. The second is the remaking of life. - Anne Roiphe Happiness is beneficial for the body, but it is grief that develops the powers of the mind. -
It’s difficult to pinpoint a specific moment in one’s life in which your life is transformed. We often realize that this moment is so signingagent when looking back on personal experiences and don’t realize it at the time. For me, this moment occurred when I realized that I had taken what I love most for granted. It all started back in 2004 when my family suggested that I get into a sport at a young age.
A memorable day I my life is when I first found out I was a diabetic. I was scared and didn’t really understand what was happening. I was too sick, and for the most part out of my mind. But, what I do remember is a lot of pain and a few visitors. It wasn’t the best day and I don’t remember every detail.
In our life, there are periods of challenges that we must face, but the real challenge is how we grow and learn from overcoming them. Being naive children, we believed that life was simplistic and effortless. Well, we were wrong, we can only yearn for life to be easy. Growing up, we continue to face countless hurdles that only get bigger and bigger. My life, in particular, has been filled with numerous up and downs.
There are many incidents one met in life that change the whole concept of living. Similarly I had an incident which not only change my vision towards life but also to the words you speak and how much they hurt someone enough that you then regret of saying them. It was a very dull morning for me.
