The purpose of writing this paper is to inform the reader of my Personal Improvement Project (PIP) goal. My goal is to quit procrastinating on everything I do. This goal will help me occupationally, mentally, and emotionally. Occupationally I will do better in school and at my job. Mentally I won't be stressed out about all the work i have to do and/or catch up on. Due to the fact i won't be stressed my emotions and mood will improve as well. To reach my goal I will put aside time to do my school work and instead of waiting to do an assignment until last minute I will try harder to get it done in class. I will find a way to to stay motivated and stay focused by listening to music while I work. Music helps me focus. I will try to stay more …show more content…
First target date i rewarded myself with a nice hot cup of hot cocoa. Second target date i rewarded myself by taking a break and relaxing for a day in my bed not worry about school, home, etc. The last target date i will soon go out and treat myself to a dinner with friends because i accomplished my goal. I will most definitely continue to work on my gaol and working hard. When I improve this part of my life enough in the near future I will add more goals to accomplish. I want to set more goals to make a better life and future for myself. I will set my future goals for my physical health to improve my muscles and self. I don't really look at my health any different after this project. My awareness of my health has not changed from when i went in to this project to now, my views are the same as they were when i started. If i had to do this project over again i would have picked the same goal as i did, I have a problem with procrastinating. This project was good and completely worth doing. I would have added more support if i were to go back and do this assignment again. More friend and family
You have goals set of all of us to become something important. To make a change to the world.

It was eleven o’three when I finally started my homework. It was official; I was in the fourth, final, and worst stage of procrastination, the crisis stage. I was exhausted, just trying to finish solving all the problems, and not even checking to see if any of them were right. It seemed no matter how many times I had to suffer the consequences of procrastination, I still chose the easy way, or at least it was easy for a while, until I had virtually no time left and had to rush to get it done.

What the American Dream means to me is happiness. Being happy and not having to worry about food, shelter, and/or health. To have a healthy life, family, and relationships whether it be friends or family. To me the American Dream is not having a big house, nice car, or expensive clothing because I believe no matter how much material you have it will never bring you true happiness. “The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it’s all that matters.”
One example of having a personal plan achieved for the academic goals is to create a better mindset for less stress to focus on the assignments that I will have and the clinic experiences to prepare myself for the challenges that I will or could face to obtain my BSN of Nursing. If I can continue to hold myself accountable for setting the goals to practice less stress and healthier life decisions with food choices and better mind set to decrease burnout risk, will help me have a greater positive mindset to focus on homework. The second developmental plan for achieving my career goals will be when I complete my BSN by the year 2024 to open more doors to explore when I want to be as a nurse. Having a plan can help me visualize my goals to stay on track and not get discouraged during my journey. Having a career goal with a plan can help take stress off of having to worry which route to take next or how to keep from the stress of the journey can create to obtain my BSN.

This Wellness Recovery Action Plan I have already partially implemented and will begin to implement the remainder as soon as possible. The nutritional section of this plan has been implemented for the past year, and plan to continue with the Daily Food Diary (Davis et al., 2008), as shown in Appendix D. On Exercising, I will begin in May or June when the semester is over and my son is out of school to free a little more of my time schedule as shown in Appendix C, Diary of Opportunities To Exercise (Davis et al., 2008). Finally, coping with stress is going to be and has been a challenge in the areas I scored high as shown in Appendix B Schedule of Recent Experience (Weitian et al., 2009).
