A personal journey experience of the formative process that I would like to share in this paper it’s an important experience that made me grow within about knowing ‘God is with me all the time’ and He really ‘knows me from within’ even my thought. And it changed whole my life. This process happened 18 years ago when I was a novice, but it is fresh even now. It’s on about my 4 months exposure of second year novice that made me ‘rupture’ from a close and weak person become who am I, today.
In 1999, January to April, I was alone gone to the north of Thailand, Chiang Rai for my exposure, living with tribal people on the mountain. There, it looks like another country; people in that area, they have their own language not Thai surely I couldn’t speak or even understand. They eat any kind of

After that I was very happy and had a new perspective on the old environment. I open myself to all experiences and all difficulties that came to me. My mind opened to learn to eat their food, just do not let me know what kind of animal that they cook and little by little I discover their food are really delicious even a water soup. I practiced speaking their language with little children. Experience the cold atmosphere with pleasure; I pictured myself stayed in Europe.
Then I can see their beauty; the group of people who live together in simplicity, but full of happiness; adults and children play games together, laughter cover over the hill.
This experience God was my formator. He changed my hearts. He didn’t only change my heart, but He changed whole my life too. “Suddenly, the sun was shining over the area that I stood with the voice from within me ‘I’m with you, do not be afraid’”.

As I walk through the doors hundreds of memories flood into my mind as the smell of yesterday’s incense hits my nose. In a way I grew up here from baptism, first communion, to confirmation. Various friends and family scattered in the pews nodding to you as you enter the church since in a small town everyone knows everyone. The church is large and ornate for where it is placed; a little town of roughly 200 people. The inside is magnificent with intricately carved wooden pillars and elaborate paintings of Bible stories on the dome ceiling.
An important example is my track injury. Track has its own spot in my heart, it always will but when I suffered an injury halfway through the season my world changed. I was not running as fast, I was in pain everyday, and I didn’t know what was important to me anymore. I had to value what was really important to me, my health and wellness or doing what I was born to do.
AVID is a program not intended for everyone. This program exposes you to a variety of skills and mastery for adolescents desiring to attend college. Avid focuses around organization, teamwork, and for you to critically think. These skills are new to many and are provenly beneficial, however these skills do not favor those that have already had these skills and are show casing their full potential. Therefore, Avid is not for me since it interferes with my academic courses, mastery of avid skills and would not be beneficial for me because I have gained much of the skills and would rather interfer than assist.
This left me not only fighting emotions of sorrow and grief but also with a sense of hope. I was an influence on him as he learned to trust and learned to read. I also became a safe place to open his hurts so healing could begin. It was a privilege to wrestle with him through some bleak and painful
He kept me from crying and giving up during the hard
Nevertheless, I received from Him the strength to move ahead with my life and the patience to resolve problems with confidence. By His grace, I am not the same person that I
My eyes automatically drifted to the tall bright palm tree that moved along with the rhythm of the wind. It’s leafs danced as they presented their welcome. The sun shined down and hugged me with warmth, giving my skin a tingling, but satisfying sensation. I had come from Virginia to California, the famous, constantly spoken of state, that finally reached my sight. The state presented its beautiful attributes to capture my wonder and mesmerization.
When he told me the story it made me realize how many things we take for granted today and every day. It showed me how quickly something can happen, how something little can impact many people's lives, and how grateful we should
I was to discover, however, that when I took my eyes off the circumstances that were overwhelming me, over which I had no control, and looked up, my Lord was there. – Darlene Deibler Rose Darlene Deibler was starving, sick, and weak as she spent day after day in isolation as a prisoner of war. She had come to New Guinea as a missionary with her husband, but they had been captured by the Japanese during World War II. Darlene knew that her husband had perished and that she was sentenced to death by beheading. Her crime was simply that of being an American, which automatically made her a spy in the eyes of the enemy.
This event changed my life for the better and without going through that tough time I would not have been able to see the light of all situations, in reality and when I
Academic success to me is achieving good grades and understanding the material to get good grades. Academic success also means to have an good attendance. I already get mostly A’s and B’s, but I am not good at staying on top of things. To improve my academic success I will attend class more often, be more organized, pay attention in class, and not procrastinate.
He also taught me to stay motivated no matter how many times I wanted to give up because of my mistakes. I remember the day like it was yesterday even though it was eighteen years ago. This is one of the proudest moments in my life. It’s a lesson that I’ll never forget. Being taught how to ride a bike for the first time was exciting.
The term “spiritual formation” can mean diverse things to different people. For me as a Christian, spiritual formation is the process by which God forms a person into His image. The goal of formation, as expressed by Ashbrook (2009), is “a Love Relationship with God…to live fully and freely in His love, and to respond by loving Him as well” (p. 26). Many experiences, both positive and negative, shape an individual’s relationship with God. The journey of formation will be distinctive, and often enigmatic except in hindsight, for each individual.
Over Spring Break, my family traveled to Eureka Springs, Arkansas to visit my family that reside in Kansas. Eureka Spring is an amazing town nestled in the Ozark Mountains. On our way, we visited the Precious Moments Chapel and saw a replica of the resurrection of Christ. In Eureka Springs, they have a play performed in the summer called the Passion Play and they also have replica of the resurrection of Christ and the theater is set to look like Bethlehem. Seeing all of these things sparked good conversation with my 12-year-old son, but it also brought back some sad and troublesome memories for myself.
Being a teacher is a journey that has much to do with learning about yourself and being aware that what happens in your classroom reflects only on how are you with yourself. Teachers are not conscious that they project into students, and that affects how things go in the classroom. I believe the first characteristic of a good teacher is that he/ she is always willing to analyze his/her teaching performance. Second the teacher is humble enough to receive input about the development and application of techniques, learning from it and improving.
