Now, what distinguishes an ordinary bakery from a truly transformative one is how we bring these ingredients together.
One would gather all the essential ingredients flour, eggs, sugar, butter, milk, baking powder – each with a distinct flavor and purpose. These ingredients, while vastly different on their own, come together harmoniously in the baking process. Just as a well-mixed batter creates a smooth, consistent texture, open and transparent communication ensures that our ideas, concerns, and aspirations are heard and valued. It creates a space where everyone can contribute their unique insights, empowering a team to achieve greatness together.
Now, let's talk about creativity and innovation, represented by the icing on the cake. Just as icing adds flavor, color, and aesthetic appeal, creativity and innovation infuse an organization with fresh ideas, pushing boundaries and inspiring growth. It is through embracing creativity that we can stand out from the crowd, crafting innovative solutions to the challenges we face.
However, a cake is not complete without heat – the oven that brings it all together. This heat represents the supportive environment a leader should cultivate, providing the necessary conditions for their team to flourish. Just as an oven needs to be at the right temperature for the cake to rise, a leader creates an atmosphere that encourages risk-taking, continuous learning, and personal growth.

Nancy Silverton, founder of La Brea Bakery, and her husband started out looking for a space for a restaurant, and in the process, La Brea Bakery was created. This relation is obvious when a company is listed among the top best companies for multicultural women, and it is one of the best companies in its industry and leverages diversity to the best. Among the list by Casserly, I found a company which is attached to my professional carrier namely General Mills. General Mills prides itself on its diversity and inclusion initiatives. This essay will explore how General Mills leverages diversity internally and externally, and the positive impact it has on the company and its bottom line. The members engaged in encouraging interaction and taking part in the presentations by the expertise on a variety of the courses, for example, transgender inclusiveness, discriminatory attitude, and Islamophobia.
1. My philosophy of leadership is about collaboration and teamwork. Respecting and treating everyone the same, is key to supporting a good team atmosphere. I believe when a leader puts effort and care into assisting others, then their peers and followers will naturally want to support them. It is also important for a leader to recognize, that advocacy must never become so important that the critical elements of leadership are neglected (e.g. policy enforcement, command support, etc...).
In developing this paper on leadership, I examined what was most important to me as a leader. As I reflected on my leadership philosophy, I thought about my experiences and the principals that I have learned through my own self-discovery and the observation of other leaders that I have had throughout my life. My leadership philosophy paper will focus on what leadership is to me, core values, and knowledge of others. In thinking about my definition of leadership, I thought of what was most important to me in and as a leader.
Sugar Bakery opened up a family owned cupcake bakery that was original and because of their originality with their recipes as well as, their dedication to their customers. It advanced the cupcake business and they were even offered more opportunities because of their reputation as business owners. Sugar Bakery was very unique with their tasty cupcakes. My business plan is original, I live in Elizabeth City North Carolina and we lack restaurants that serve delicious healthy foods that can improve the customer’s lifestyle.

From my point of view , Leadership has more to it than I can possibly imagine. I define leadership as the art of enabling a group of people get to a specific destination. As a leader your main focus was to enable your followers lead theselves. As i think deeper i realise a person cannot choose to be a leader. I think a lot of the time people take on leadership positions without knowing.
I work in customer service and have contact with so many different people. The restaurant I work at is very close to a university, so we get a huge variety of people coming in. It is essential to approach every customer with the respect you would give to anyone no matter their race, religion, ethnicity, ect. Mor Barak, a professor at the University of Southern California, describes an inclusive workplace as an environment that welcomes and utilizes diversity at all levels. Inclusion refers to relationships between individuals and groups, employees and customers, and organizations as well as communities.

Moreover, second example is about Miles Nadal, Chairman and CEO of MDC Partners who advises that, it does not matter what your business is, success varies on emerging smart, authentic and culturally connecting relationship with multicultural clients. Marketers knows that today’s customers are always from multicultural background (Canada NewsWire, 2015).
Through self-reflection and academic readings, I have discovered that I identify with three different leadership theories. During the first meeting in a Strength Based Leadership class, we were asked to write our leadership history. The class then began an ongoing exploration of various leadership theories. Upon reviewing my leadership history from the first class and synthesizing the information from the theories that were examined, I discovered that I most resonate with the Trait Leadership Theory, the Skills Leadership Theory, and the Path-Goal Leadership theory. These theories are leader focused, describing the process and techniques a leader uses to accomplish goals.
