I had a few jobs here and there growing up. I mostly did a lot of babysitting jobs. When I was 16 going on 17 my first real job was working as a cashier at County Market. I still remember what we all had to wear; black dress pants, a button-down white dress shirt, a red apron that said County Market and a tie. Girls had to wear their hair pulled up. When we had a few minutes of downtime, us cashiers would use receipt paper to write little notes to one another.
A friend of mine was a cart pusher. His name was Brad, and he would take notes to a guy I was talking to in the meat department. One day my friend Brad was not there so the other cart pusher, Matt, was there and offered to take the note for me. A few minutes later he came back with a

The next night he got a ride over to my house in Centerville. We walked all over town and talked for hours. He was a student at Richmond, and I was a student at Centerville, so we didn’t get to see each other as much as other couples. Every chance we got, we spent it together and sometimes we even ditched school to spend the day together.
So times goes by, and we both get our licenses which make seeing one another easier. Matt got a car the day of prom which made seeing one another a lot easier as well. On November fourth, 1998 Matt came over to the house and was acting very nervous. He asked me to go with him to pay the rent for his mom. I said ok, and we drove to the people’s house to give them a check, which we have done many times before. So, he goes and gives them the check and comes back and we just sit there for a few minutes talking. He looks over at me and with shaky hands, he hands me a ring box. I look inside, and it was an engagement ring. He said, “will you marry me?” I, of course, said, “ Yes!”
So this was the story of how an ordinary day at my first job created the background for my true love story. We got married on Halloween of 2002, and we just celebrated our 14th wedding
Whenever I pulled up at his house I had gotten to hang out but then we went to bed. The next morning whenever I woke up we made Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, and Toast. We were going to eat outside because it was so nice. One thing that we had to make sure of was that we put on our bug spray because of the bad mosquitoes out there.
He was happy to, and I headed back to the table awaiting his cue. At this point Hannah was begging me to tell her what was going on, and finally when I noticed the waiter heading towards the table I dropped to one knee and asked Hannah to marry me. She said yes, the champagne was poured, and we were engaged to be married! The happiest day of my life to this point was
In the beginning, I started working when I was 17 years old. I worked at a retail store in Bloomfield, New Jersey after school and on the weekend. I began working at an early age because I want to stand on my own feet and I do not want to rely on my family.
Well...I was 6 when Child Protective Services came to get us. I lived with my mom and my three sisters, the youngest was Donna she was 5 & Lizzy was 7 and Mary was 10. I remember most of my family lived in the same neighborhood like my two Aunts and my uncle and grandpa and grandma. There was an occasional gunshot, sometimes there was a fire truck rushing down our street . We lived on top of a hill at 1015 Norwich in Grand Rapids.
I was born and raised in California in a nice yet not so perfect neighborhood; every now and then it would get some action, such as high speed chase or a drug bust. I had the privilege of growing up the oldest of seven, with three brothers and three sisters in our five bedroom home. Certain things were not too bad even though I hated the idea of babysitting and sharing a room till the age of sixteen, and that was primarily because I would go to school then work right after and spent most nights in the living room finishing homework or studying and end up falling asleep there. My mother was not a single mother, but her and my father have been together and never been married, I asked them once and the reason was that they could earn and receive
My dad drank a lot of alcohol and since our family couldn 't handle the shame, my family moved around most of the time. I was the new kid in school all the time . My first job was a lifeguard on the Rock River. I was fifteen years old. I saved 77 lives and a set of false teeth.
The Slenderman ‘’He is always watching, listening and waiting for you, even if you don't know it, he could right behind you. The Slenderman will stop at nothing until he catches you and whoever was there at the main event of the transformation you will become one too. ’’ These are the word my cousin Jacob, [who is 24 now] used to say to scare me and my older brother, but little did i know that i should've paid more attention. Sure you can see it all over the internet and youtubers saying his origin story, but the main question is: How do you know if it is true or not?
Then I heard the door open to the bathroom and immediately wanted to crawl into a massive hole as I saw my blonde eye candy come into the bathroom to see if I was okay. He sat with me the rest of the night despite my feeble attempts to get him to go back out to the party. After that night we were inseparable. I went to school and then he came and stayed at my house or I stayed at his. Our friends would be shocked if they saw us apart, which was probably 3 times.
Work with children Throughout my high school and college years, I have had several experiences with children that have all played a part in shaping my love for working with children. During high school, I spent two summers nannying for two young school aged children. Working with these siblings really made me realize how much fun I have working with children and watching them grow. Once I came to college, I started another babysitting job working with two four year old twin girls.
I don 't remember if I told you, I met a lady at Grant Beach Park last weekend after my son 's soccer game who works at the Fairbanks. They want to see if I can meet Monday at 10 a.m. to see the material for Parent Cafés, is it okay if I meet with them or would you like to be there too? I 'll be done and make it in time for this staff meeting at noon.
I remember many instances when I was just starting to be an infant-toddler teacher. It was working with little babies. Every day, you can never imagine the adventure and the joy of being with them. There were also moments that I have to pause a bit and go to the bathroom to rethink and say, “I need a break”. Take for example J.D, an 18 month old infant who always cries whenever her mother leaves.
It finally happened, January 31st, 2016, Darvelle Levy got down on one knee and popped the most important question I will ever be asked,"Will you marry me. "Of course I responded yes, its about damn time. lol. I have been waiting since last June for him to officially pop the question. So, we have been happily engaged for four months.
Well little did I know that was the night that would change my life forever. Shortly after pulling up to uptown my buddy Jonathan Smith aka Johnny called me over to his truck nicknamed “ the candy shop”. We carried on a normal conversation just as we always had before, when out of nowhere he asks me if i’m single. As I reply with a yes, I told him if he wanted me that bad he’d have to buy me dinner first. Anyways he told me about how he had the perfect girl for me.
We went on dates, bought each other things, never spent a day apart, and enjoyed being around each other. I was fifteen and he was seventeen about to turn eighteen in a few short months. He was the straight A, sweet talking, brown eyed country
Before starting this essay, I was wondering what to write, but I then realised a reoccurring event, that happens at least every 3 to 5 years. My parents would fight and it would result into them separating, staying in different homes until the fight is resolved. They never divorced, they just stayed apart, always swearing to get a divorce that never seems to happen. According to my mother there were fights in the household when I was a baby and even before I was born.
