Hey cutie, No, the tigers didn 't get me this time and I called off the engagements I had planned! Ha. I apologize I just am bad at writing emails and don 't get around to doing it till late at night; so it took awhile for it to click. That 's great that your brother is close with your grandmother. I understand what you mean by being closer while your younger, it is the same with me and my older brother. I love him, but I can 't get caught up in his mess. He 's still learning how to be an adult. Your friends are right; it is a competitive field in DC. That 's one of the main reasons I enjoy living in Baltimore vs. DC, people in Baltimore don 't care what your job or who you know; just if your a cool person. But if you want to put your competitive side to practice then I 'm ready to go go-karting and to cash my …show more content…
Ha. I love watching documentaries. You can learn so much information and see a different perspective for a lot of different topics. I 'm not so much into reading unless it 's magazines and technical reports. I just can 't get into reading 20 chapters of a book in my free time. So since you only watch 10 hours of TV; what are some of the shows you watch on TV? I have a ton of shows that I watch one of my favorites is Archer on FX, have you ever seen it? I 'm impressed that your planning on switching to vegetarian, I 've wanted to try a stint of going without eating meat but its hard to cut it out of the diet. My hobbies are playing paintball, going to weekend festivals (of all kinds), and my next big thin is to get my
I’ve completed my move to Houston. I traded in my Maryland license for a Texas one. With that said, I’ve found a new church home. I joined Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church on January 13th. The church is very similar to STCF.
There was the casino attorney and the university trustee. There was the business executive and the gastroenterologist. There was the “Statman,” as well as several other local business and professional leaders. And there was me.
Two years have elapsed since my first district convention. It was an unforgettable experience. Within two days and two nights, I lost my voice and gained a passion. Three years have flown by since my enrollment as an Clackamas Key Club member. Each service project after the next was eye-opening.
I will always remember the fantastic experience that I had in Cooperstown last summer. As we entered the ballpark in our car, we could see the majestic baseball field. People were already working on the fields, making the grass sparkle and the dirt smooth. We drove down the consummately paved road to the barracks and as they came into view, I could see several of them. All of them right next to each other, identical.
It was a 40 degree night , chilly for Dallas , where the Super Bowl party was being hosted on the 50 yard line of AT@T stadium’s Football field. The Cowboys had just finished beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl an hour ago and they came home to celebrate and I was the sweepstakes winner so I got to host any 4 NFL players at the party. Just as I put the table on the field, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott walked out onto the field wearing Super Bowl rings.
I 'm a laid back guy, who enjoys spending time with my friends, trying new things, and meeting new people. I love living in the city since there 's always something to do. I 'm an engineer and enjoy my job and its challenges; but, I spend all day in an office and by the end of the day I 'd rather go out and have some fun than go straight home and call it a night. I 'm from a military family, so I grew up overseas and lived in the mid-west after college; but I 've always call Maryland home. I love adventures, city life, the Ravens, concerts & festivals, and just hanging out with friends - since it’s more about the company than the event, I’m typically up for anything.
The move back to Maryland was one of the biggest challenges in my life, everything was okay in Ohio until my step dad caused problems with me and my mom. It all started when my mom tried kicking my step dad out of the house for domestic violence. She kicked him out because not only has he fought with my mom, but he and I have fought a few times. Everything seemed fine at first until he kept bringing police officers to our house claiming almost all of our household items were his and he wanted to get them back. Of course the officers eventually weren’t allowing him to keep coming back to bug us about it and told him to go to the court and take the problem to a civil court judge.
Several individuals from different ethnicities, races, and citizenships, compose a society. The United Sates allow us to have a close interaction with numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds. In my own case I have been able to interact with many incredible individuals from all over the world who come from extremely different backgrounds. I am a proud Mexican who cherishes respect towards diversity. Coming from a very suffered country I am able to understand not only what does it means to feel proud to be a Latino, but also I can feel acquainted with the pain and struggle that our community has to face every day.
I was born in New Orleans, but raised in Brooklyn. For several reasons my parents decided to leave NOLA shorty after my birth. From then on, I was raised in New York state; more specifically Brooklyn. It wasn't until the age of sixteen that I finally returned to my home city. My parents had just divorced and for that reason, my mother no longer wished to stay in New York.
I have lived in East Oakland my whole life. To the majority of people, the mention of East Oakland evokes thoughts of violence, shootings, and gangs. I was one of the people who believed in these stereotypes, and for a particularly long time. I was one of the people who saw Oakland as a wasteland, a place with nothing to offer me, and a place I had nothing to offer to.
I grew up in inner city Baltimore Maryland. Neither of my parents were or are followers of Christ. They divorced when I was very young. I spent most of my life moving from place to place with my mother and two brothers. I gave up on high school when I failed my freshmen year.
The city is known for its culture, creativity, great food, and our different music. New Orleans has always been home for me until, the unthinkable happened. No, our city isn’t always filled with tons of fun. We have suffered a dramatic change over a decade ago. Although it was so long ago, our city still isn’t the same as it was before.
Tish, I went to go watch finding dory and it brought back a lot of memories. I lost your number when I transfered my data on my phone but I just wanted to tell you that I 'm sorry. I 'm sorry that I didn 't communicate as much as I should have. For not showing you how much I cared about you.
How I Gained Independence in Washington DC It’s a Thursday night, and I am just about to finish my packing for my first trip to Washington DC. It’s also my first time being away from my parents for more than a day or two. Right now, I’m in my room, folding clothes into the suitcase...one...two....three pairs of shorts, I said to myself. My mother yelled up saying “dinner is ready!” I stayed upstairs and yelled “I’ll be down in a minute!”
One night, during the cold winter, I walked along the side walk to reach the local store down the block. As I walked out, before I can realize it, I was dropping down onto the concrete while bullets swiftly passed me. I then began to run back home, but I wanted to keep running. Away from Chicago, away from the west side. Growing up in Chicago, it was easy to assume that there was nothing different beyond the blocks of my streets.
