Bubble Gum used to get haircuts and clothes. She was the neighborhood favorite. LOL. The kids used to love playing with her. Dogs surrounded us both sides of the house once again. Fleas were taking over and biting us inside our own damn house. My ankles were swollen from the bites. We kept our doors and windows closed even in the summer months to avoid those fleas. My man W next door had dogs like it was a kennel. W and I were cool as crap. We’d play video games in his crib and chat daily. I just couldn’t deal with those fleas. Fleas are the worse. That's why I hate dogs even to this day. Every house had a unique situation but all of the neighbors kept it 100 for the sake of harmony. Our block had great block parties. The block captains will be so hype. That's the time when the younger kids could run across the street without any supervision. No one stayed in the house when the parties were happening. The fun was being outside. You never know you might luck up and find a girlfriend. My parents never objected, but they didn’t encourage me either. As a young boy, your peers would tell you stories …show more content…
Our bus would stop in Kensington after Steele school in the mornings., then head to Mayfair. There were some attractive Puerto Rican girls that we picked up. Maybe they were four or five deep with some guys as well. The two that I was peeping were cute as ish; one named J and her curly headed friend D. J was the better of the two. She was of medium height with brown curly hair and a slim physique. Her English was broken, but manageable. Still, I was shy to say anything to her. J wasn’t that hard to get but for me, it would be a challenge. None of my crew at school was hitting on chicks except Rog. We were all into video games and exchanging rap tapes. Most of the time, we’d talk on the phone after school. They are my boyz for
It’s the end of the game, my team is down one, there are eight seconds and counting on the clock and the ball is in my hands. I search the stands to find the one person who has been there for me my entire life. Only he’s not there. It’s easy to get caught up in the game; not the game of basketball, but the dope game. It is a life few choose, but many find themselves in due to the harsh reality of job loss and depression.
Her face was blank revealing no emotion. I couldn’t explain how I felt about her. Her hair was dyed an emerald green and her eyes were like plain black buttons. Her skin was a pale unhealthy complexion and she had scares the shape of patterns all along her arms.
Baby Dogs – When we first got our female czechoslovakian shepherd she was only about 6 months old. She was always out of one thing and into another. Not even considering how she loved to chew on things I left my shoes in the living room while I went to walmart one night. When I returned, she had one shoe torn to sherds and the other was missing.
I was pretty much the wimpy kid that was an outsider but, things started to change between us when we were in highschool. It wasn 't until highschool that we actually became somewhat friends. We were both in the basketball
Growing up in an American household was a challenge. The topic of sex seemed to be forbidden. My parents would always tell me that I couldn’t date until I was eighteen years old. If I ever asked about dating, they would never give me the time of day. When I was sixteen years old, I met a boy that I was interested in.
Sugar Detox Results The 21-Day sugar has been growing in popularity recently. I had always been curious about trying it but hesitant of jumping on the wagon. I wasn’t quite sure if it was legitimate or a trend. Ever since I entered college, I lived a life of sitting in study halls and eating top ramen.
Dad had a very hard time making it so he did not bite everyone who tried to touch him. I remember how Bear would come up behind you and force his head under your arm to get you to pet him. When my family moved to Idaho Bear rode in the trailer all the way from New york; bear has always been kennel sick. If only he would learn to sit or lay down while inside it. First, we used a giant cage thing to keep him in the yard, not long
I wake up from another one of my bad dreams and look over to see if Sodapop is still asleep. He’s gone. I decided to go see if Darry was home. He is gone too. I am completely alone and I just noticed that it is in the middle of the night.
Then, she drove me to the hospital and got me immediately to the ER. In the ER they were rapping me like crazy because i wouldn 't stay still in the bed because i was so scared and i was in pain. Finally they got me all wrapped up and I was laying in the bed quite. I don 't remember what happened after that because I guess I went into surgery and could think of what happened after that.
I loved beating them in sports and proving I was just as good as them. Growing up I hung out with lots of guys especially because I would mostly hang out with my older brother and his friends. My dad always put the guys in charge of me and it was like I had more than one brother watching over me all the time. I grew up with guys and witnessed how young boys would start
My Coke Bottle I have been lucky enough to live a very privileged life. My parents both work hard to provide an upper middle class lifestyle for me and my siblings. We live in a spacious house in a quiet suburban neighborhood. I have attended private school my entire life.
My palms were sweating. My heart was beating fast and furiously. This was it. My very first upside-down roller coaster ride at age nine in Hershey Park. The Sooper Dooper Looper was so intimidating.
Then I grew up. I would watch TV and see shows and movies with girls
One Saturday morning, I woke up at like 8am to the sound of my sister eating some chips or something. She usually likes to bother me in the morning, so I was surprised that she was doing something else. I just tried to ignore it and fall back asleep, but i couldn’t, so that’s when I got up to use the bathroom. I heard my sister finishing up her snack and getting another one. While I was in the bathroom, I heard a ton of crinkling and grunting, like my sister was lifting something up.
I opted for toys such as Barbies instead of monster trucks. And when crushes developed in kindergarten, it was Dylan Harvey whom I wanted to play tag with, not Danielle Robertson. My parents were too in denial and distracted to
