Last weekend on the 16th I went to see Chance the Rapper at the Rave with two of my friends. It was a last minute decision but it was definitely worth it. Chance doesn’t sing the type of music that we are learning about in class, and normally I don’t usually listen to that kind of music, but I had a great time there. I am more of a country person but I am always open to new things. Chance the Rapper would be considered a vocal soloist, he sings by himself on stage but he does have a band behind him. Although I only knew a couple of his songs I still enjoyed being there, his performance gave everyone such a rush. People were excited for the openers but once Chance came out you could feel the level of energy go up. Everyone being packed together
It’s the end of the game, my team is down one, there are eight seconds and counting on the clock and the ball is in my hands. I search the stands to find the one person who has been there for me my entire life. Only he’s not there. It’s easy to get caught up in the game; not the game of basketball, but the dope game. It is a life few choose, but many find themselves in due to the harsh reality of job loss and depression.
Hayes also harmonized vocally with another singer, creating a very appealing texture. Another new idea for Hunter Hayes at the concert was trying improvisation on the electric guitar. He hasn’t done much of that in his music, so it helped create an astounding
For starters, Donald Glover, A.K.A "Childish Gambino" is a man of many talents. Not only did he perform an incredible set, he kept the audience laughing and on their feet the whole show. While the anxious fans were waiting patiently, his DJ played tracks ranging from N.W.A to J. Cole, preparing people for what was to come. When Gambino ran on stage, the melody of his song "Fireflies" started- only for him to exclaim "this is NOT a good song to start a show. Turn it off!"
He put his soul into the music for the last time that night for the other
Meet my Jazz band. This is a picture of us in New Orleans my junior year during spring break to play Jazz. I decided upon this picture because this band has had such a profound impact on how I frame my future. My connection with music through the piano has been fostered ever since I could reach those shiny black and white collection of keys. Starting at the age of four, playing the classical music of Mozart and Bach was what my musical background was founded upon, with tangible medals and accomplishments as achievements.
My first impression of him was that he was a talented individual with a lot of musical potential. After sunny plays his song he comes to the bar and I give him a compliment on his playing. He smiles and haply thanks me. It was as if he had never received a compliment for his music. His voice sounded like that of someone with great confidence and relief.
I have been waiting since the start of summer for this day, the day to go against Topeka West the school that have been talking stuff for the longest. There was so much hype about this game and it was finally here, when the bell ringed at the end of the day i rushed out of class and got on the bus to head over to chandler our practice field. When we got there we all the football players loaded off the bus and when we got off there was a table of chips, water, gatorade,PB & J and fruit snacks so we didn’t play on an empty stomach. After we ate and got ready coach talk to us for a little bit and then we got on the bus to head to Hummer sports park, it was a loud bus
“ I know it seems hard sometimes but remember one thing. My Theme Song Songs can connect with how we feel and our experiences. Music has been a major part of my life ever since I was just a toddler. For me music has helped me express what I am feeling and who I am as a person. My therapy has been music, it has helped me through almost every problem I have faced. With listening to the song lyrics, we can get a true understanding of what the artist is trying to tell us.
As I walked or rather pushed my way through the masses of people to get to the Samsung stage to listen to the eccentric A$AP Rocky. I should probably point out that I had no idea who or what A$ AP Rocky was. The only song I have that he is remotely in a Taylor Swift song. He had drawn one of the largest crowds of the night, so I decided to check him out.
“ For every dark night there is a brighter day” said Tupac shakur. Hello,My name is Lilia Brazile, and this is my story. I love many things ,and have many interest. My friends, family music ,and much more are a big part of my life .I made a mandala to represent all the things i love.
Dr. Dre: The perseverance of a great Producer When I was younger, I always knew I had a talent and passion for music especially in the audio production field of music. I started my career off by enrolling at Full Sail University to obtain my goal and achieve all the skills necessary to follow the dream I love. Focusing on one professional I admire I’ve dived in deep and researched an abundance amount of information, and applied it to lessons that can come toward my own success. The role model I have chosen today is Dr. Dre.
Majority of hip-hop fans would probably be able to tell people specifically when they first fell in love with hip-hop, not me. However, I do know I had to be around the ages of 5,6, or 7 year old. When I was an adolescent my mother tried to actually shelter me from even listening to most hip-hop/rap songs. Instead of listening to the Hip-Hop and, R&B station’s on the radio that she would ordinarily listen to when I wasn’t around, she put on a pop station, or Radio Disney instead; even when I begged for her to put on one of the Hip-Hop stations’. I suppose she did not want me to hear any inappropriate content that was said in the songs.
I really enjoyed his enthusiasm and love for music, which was very noticeable during his performance. I enjoyed his part in the song and his great skills on the piano. The rhythm of a song allows the audience to add their own motion to the unique beat and “Concord Blues Plus 8” created an entertaining beat that I appreciated greatly. When I was younger I played the piano, so I felt I could relate the most with that instrument and could understand the piano part the best. The songs that were played at the concert added depth to the course because all the musicians were very talented and brought a great jazz experience to the concert.
I looked down at my schedule 3rd period,English 1, Franklin, Alex, Rm.155. I walked down the hallway. I looked up and saw room 155. I opened the door, there was rap music playing. I was a little surprised, I didn’t expect a language arts teacher to be playing rap music.
