It was a cool breezy, spring night as we set off on our journey. The clocked showed 7pm and our destination was Clearwater Beach, Florida. We crammed into a van and set off on our journey. In the beginning, we shared some laughs. By the end of the journey, we shared even more laughs and fears for the future. Our first conversation contained the topic of the book we had to read over break for Theology Class. St Augustine's Confessions was the assigned book, , but we really didn't mention the book any further. 2 hours in, we stopped for gas. As energetic teenagers we felt alive on this Easter Sunday Night because we got to eat and drink what we wanted. We left our families for an adventure. An adventure led by 3 adults and classmates including my best friend, my ex-girlfriend, and my …show more content…
We had finally made the trek to step into warm, golden sand between our toes and step into the salt filled ocean. We couldn't get out of the van fast enough and ran across the street to the beach. We had 3 hours to ourselves before we met for dinner and headed south to Fort Myers. The guys ran into the ocean, The sun did not dance of the sun that day, instead the clouds took a blanket and covered the sky. The grayish skies didn't keep out mood down. We played and tossed each other around the water like we were 5 year olds. Jessiah pointed two dancers in the sand. I took a bet I could beat them in dance. I went up to them and ask if they wanted a dance off. I wasn’t a professional dancer, but I knew how to play my cards like I did. They declined and sadly, I went to my friends and told them they declined my offer because the dancers knew I could beat them. After the beach, we took to a stroll around clearwater. All of a sudden, it started raining. We ran to the nearest shop and danced to avoid the droplets of rain. We were just in the water and ran to avoid water from above. We stayed underneath the store until is was time for
Time. 10:19 p.m. South Florida. The traffic light rests at red for an eternity, mocking me with its condescending gaze. I quickly turned my head both directions, not a car in sight for what it seemed to be miles.
501 It was Halloween night, my three friends Bryce, Zach, and Bailey and I were so excited, it was the 666th Halloween, we had all met up at Bryce’s Brother KY’s house in Donaldson, Arkansas. We had been invited to this Halloween party in down town Malvern on the train tracks by ACME Brick. So we called Bailey’s sister Megan because she lives beside KY’s house and KY and his Fiancé Megan wouldn’t take us to that part of Malvern because it is one of the worst neighborhoods in Malvern. So she takes us to the opposite side of Malvern and dropped us off at Bryce’s mom’s house on Louisiana st.
When I Went To Florida I went to Florida after 4th grade in the summer. When we went to Florida, Jaxon my sisters, brother came with us. The night before we left he stayed at my house. When we left the next morning we left at 3:00 A.M. While we were on our way we both had to sit in the very back of the car because my sisters came with us. The ride there was not fun at all.
Mackinac Island. Never thought I would be here, but I was, FOR REAL! We got off the boat and waited for our bikes to come out of the boat. We got our bikes and started our route around the island. We rode about half a mile, when my cousin Andie said she had to go to the bathroom.
Journal Entry 1. The Train Station: I can still smell the smoke in my hair. What I would not do for a bath, especially after days of travel from Iowa to Boston on that train. If I wasn’t so numb from the tragic events of the past few weeks, I might actually be embarrassed by the stares of the people passing by. I must look a sight with my stained worn clothes and disheveled looks.
June 6, 1944, Juno Beach, Normally Someone threw up, it was the same soldier who threw up 30 seconds ago, but none of us said anything because we felt like throwing up too. I was on a landing boat to Juno Beach, I could hear other soldiers shouting and firing guns. When the door opened, instead of seeing land, in front of us was deep water. Since I was in the back of the landing boat, I had a lot of time to think about jumping into the water, more than the other soldiers who were standing in the front.
In life, many events can contribute to the way we act, the way we think and the choices we make. Essentially, a person goes through certain life changing events that may leave a huge imprint on their lives. Some changes can be very microscopic leaving little to no impression at all . However, other events such as , getting married, having a baby, or graduating college can change someone 's life drastically. For me, the life-changing event that changed my life was moving to Jacksonville Florida.
Sarasota, Florida is an exceptionally spectacular place. From my first visit, I instinctively knew it was going to become my home someday. What captured my attention first was its unique blend of art culture and beach culture. Not only is it home of Ringling College of Art and Design, the Sarasota Ballet, and the Sarasota Opera, but it is also home of the world-famous beach,
My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
Memoir #1 It was late afternoon, around four or five o’clock, when my sister, Ashley, my cousin, Abby, and I began packing up to head back to our beach house from the beach. The air was still warm and the sun was still luminous in the sky. Every year my family has rented the same exact beach house in Bethany Beach, Delaware. It is a fairly large house directly across the street from the beach; the most treacherous part of the walk being the mountainous dunes.
We were all bored and wanted something to do with our time, so we all started blurting out random ideas that we all knew no one else would want to do “ Let's jump in the river and go swimming!” Bob yelled, we all bluntly replied “no.” After we had been walking for some time we decided to sit down at the SkatePark for a while.
Peoples’ attention admires the natural beauty sight to get peace, serenity, pacification and relax in their life. Hawks bay beach expresses the naturally beautiful seascape i.e. light brown mountains with minor, smooth height; sea with huge tides and light flourishing blue color; and the glaring sun shine with several clouds in the sky. When I reached there, I can feel the freshness of the air as the fresh fragrance from flower. The current of air blew in such a way that this eased up me newness in my life. The weather is marvelous for swimming in the sea but subversive if i halt in open-air.
Warmth, sunshine, and palm trees. The beach is the perfect atmosphere for me. From a young age, I’ve always had an affinity for it. Regardless if it was raining, scorching hot, or I got salt water in my eyes, the beach in its entirety is worth it. However, there is one day when I did not want to be at the beach and it was the day that I thought I was going to drown.
My eyes were gazing out to the middle of the ocean, knowing I would be there soon. The board was hot and sandy. I could feel the sun against my back. I took a short deep breath and I was standing in the cold crystal blue water of florida. My heart was rapidly beating out of my chest, fear was sending shivers down my spine, like a timid rabbit.
My friends and I put down our towels to go swim. Sydney, my friend, and I went into the water first. We felt the waves tugging at
