Personal Narrative Discovery Draft
My name is Husain Ali and it is strongly related to two important personalities in Islamic history. Husain changed the history due his sacrifice that he made for Islam and its followers. Husain was the grandson of Prophet Muhammad and was killed by the strict and pleasure seeking ruler of that time Yazid. Imam Husain was martyred by Yazid when he was fighting for his people and stood for what was just and right at that time for Islam. I also feel proud of both my first and last name as they are some great people in the Islamic history. Ali was the son in law of Prophet Muhammad and married to his daughter Fatima and Husain was his son. My father gave me this name and it is because of this name that I feel very connected to my religion and hence I follow it reverently.
Husain made the greatest sacrifice which can never be forgotten in the fields of Karbala. Husain was the son of Ali and he was also brave and made one the greatest sacrifices in the Islam which will be remembered till the end of times. He fought and got his head cut off because he did not bend down in front of an unjust and cruel ruler and kept the flag of Islam higher. His sacrifice was not just for Muslims but for the whole humanity to learn from and he is still remembered in history as a hero who stood for justice and righteousness.

It also took me a lot of time to understand the true meaning of my name and then act according to its rank in our religion. But the best accomplishment for me in life is that I learnt it quite in time and now I have most of my life to live according to not only to keep my name high but also according to the true teachings of my religion in a moderate way so that I am able to keep up with world as well as
There are many great leaders in the world but not many of them are war heroes. Muhammad Naguib became a leader after the war and became a hero and proved himself to be a fit leader. During the Egyptian defeat, Naguib “distinguished himself” (“Muhammad Naguib”) After the war in 1948, “he had been one of the very few military men seen as a hero” (“Aboulenein”) B.
Also introducing Aisha who was one of Muhammad’s nine wives that he had after Khadija passed away.
The identity the protagonist wanted was an identity in which he didn’t have to be friends with a Hazara. From my understanding, in Afghanistan, the way a family works is that the parents always wanted their children to be as themselves. Not only that, but Afghanistan parents needed to be the ones to choose their children’s husbands and wives. It was so because this was their culture. The identity that was intended for Amir was to be as tough as a bear fighter, but he was a writer following his mother’s footsteps.
My body cried like a newborn babe, afraid in an unfamiliar place. Immediately, my fresh eyes were greeted by waves of black hair, friendly smiles, and the Japanese language. I had arrived in Japan. I did not know the language or the customs, but I dove right into the dark pool. I was determined not to let the unknown drown me.
On 04/04/2016 I Deputy R. Dean Hildebrand, responded to 3 Springs Street Jefferson City Montana, on a complaint of damage to rental property. Upon Arrival I spoke to the complainant Dianne Thompson. Thompson stated her rental house had been severely damaged by her previous renters Gene Marker and Tanna Ferradas Marker. While walking into the house I saw several windows had been broken. The porch lattice had been damaged.
Similar to Hassan, Ali knew his place in the social order and what his son was being framed for. Amir failed to acknowledge what his actions could have done as a result. For that reason, he feels downcast for losing “the person whose first spoken word had been [his] name”. He, in that moment, embraced his Pashtun roots and looked down upon Hassan as inferior and has him removed from his
Goal Number One I didn’t know it yet, but the way I viewed the game of lacrosse was about to change drastically. It was a normal day for me. I was in eighth grade, and I was getting ready for school.
From him? … I’m thirty-eight years old and I’ve just found out that my whole life has been one [ ] lie”(Hosseini 206). The truth that Rahim Khan had disclosed was that Baba had illegitimately been the father of Hassan, therefore making Hassan Amir’s half-brother. This is an example of Hosseini using juxtaposition to illustrate Amir’s path to redemption because he ties this illegitimate brotherhood back to Amir’s initial perception of his brotherly relationship with
Surreptitiously and quietly, the posted sentries at the main entrance leading to the Dweller city of New Hope maintained their duties guarding it, keeping watch over any potential threats that may arise from beyond the entrance at any time. From the balcony that stood directly above the steel gates of the main entrance, the Dweller city guard had managed to place a small barrier of sandbags with an additional sentry gun turret, consisting of twin mounted MG42 machine guns. Even further behind the sandbags and sentry turret emplacement was a table, with two G43 semi-automatic rifles leaning on the table. Seated around the table, there were three Dwellers: two Dwellers who were part of New Hope’s city guard, and the Silent Orphan, the leader
He has a name and it’s Sohrab” (Hosseini 361). Before this encounter Amir had been timid around his father-in-law and Hazara people were often looked down upon in Afghan Pashtun culture, yet Amir still assertively stood up for his new son. Evidently, Amir was a dynamic character in the novel and Amir’s change in character was used by Khaled Hosseini in order to show
My name is Sarah Vab Vue. My parents both decided on my name and it deals with much of history and understanding. “Sarah” also has a good meaning. It was inspired by my religion. “Vab” has a strong meaning in my culture and is very unique.
He describes how Hassan looks. How he used to do mischief with Hassan and how they used to get scolded by Ali. The author describes their beautiful house in Wazir Akbar Khan district. He has done it in very detailed manner. His father was a wealthy man.
“Please think, Amir jan. It was a shameful situation. People would talk. All that a man had back then, all that he was, was his honor, his name,...” (Hosseini 223).
Amir’s father was not found of Amir but of Hassan Amir did not know Hassan was his brother. Amir always tried to impress baba. The way Hassan used to play and run after the kite Amir named him The Kite Runner. When baba died he still could face and talk to Hassan when he went to his home town he found out that the Taliban’s had killed Hassan and his wife and their son was in the orphan alone, Amir planned to adopt his son so that Hassan can forgive him and so that he can atone his sin. He always tried to be friends Hassan’s son but he missed his parents and was sad he took him home and treated him as his own son as Amir could not have one of his
Part A, task 1 (short answer) Moving tribute to grandmothers The story is about a guy who wanted to film his grandma cooking because he wanted to learn more about his heritage. I think Jonas wanted to film these conversation because then he could easily remember how the food is made, and take a look back at how the grandmother slowly remember different memories from when she was just a kid herself.
