It was a really pretty Wednesday morning headed into school. Even though it was a nice pretty sunny day everyone in school was in a bad mood and something was just off about this Wednesday. As everyone went about their day there were groups of people that weren’t talking to anyone the whole school day. Around fourth period the power in the school started to act up and some teachers came around telling all the other teachers that everything was okay, that the power was just out. As all the students sat there waiting for the power to come on the intercom came on, but none of the other power was working. I asked him if he thought he could stay calm and escape with us. We made a plan to leave. The teacher disappeared two halls over by the bathroom. We hoped that whatever took the teacher was still there, but the closest door was that way. One of the girls in the room spoke up. She said there was a window in the physics room closet. If we could get there, we could escape. We all stood up and got ready to leave. We decided taking our stuff wasn’t worth the risk of it slowing us down or getting in the way. I walked to the door with everyone behind me and looked out through the window. I didn’t see anything. I turned around and counted. There was nine of us. I opened the door and we began to step out. We started running to the left. Everything was dark and it was hard to see. The only light was from the emergency lights they were at the top of the walls. They were small and there was only one every couple of yards. They didn’t provide much light, just enough where you didn’t fall. We made it down the hallway before there was a loud screech. We all stopped out of terroir. The sound was ear piercing and painful. I turned around to make sure everyone was okay, but the guy from earlier was gone.
