It was a perfect day, August 1, 2006. Warm and sunny, and to make it even better, it was my 12th birthday. I went for another stroll outside after the party was over, after asking my mom just like every other day. I went to so many places. I walked around a few lakes, went up a couple hills, and even found a stray puppy with no collar. It was just sitting there, in the Daisys, and it looked at me with a wanting face, it’s golden fur- the same color as mine- blowing in the wind. I texted my mom asking if she would let me keep it, and even though she said no at first, she changed her mind once I mentioned the fact that it was my birthday, and I now was old enough to take care of a dog. I named her Daisy, and we did so many more things together. We played fetch together, we played tag, and then after all that, I gave her a bath in a lake. Once the sun started to go down, we climbed a hill and watched it together. The blue, to the orange, to the pink, and to black. Since I promised my mom to be home by sundown, we started on our way home, when I happened to come across a strange looking rock, which of course got me curious. I decided that instead of jumping off and trying to figure out where I was, that I should stay on the mammoth, in case of another strange thing happening in the dark. Even though I was too dark to see anything, I knew I looked weird. Sitting there, hugging a mammoth. Then I shut my eyes for a few minutes, hoping that maybe I would wake up and realize this was all just a dream. Then I heard a strange yell, not one for help, but more like a whoop. I opened my eyes, and to my surprise, it was light again. I looked around for the source of the noise, but I couldn't find it. Then I heard it again. I immediately turned my head, and found it.
