Last minute trips with the girls are always fun to do, especially going somewhere I have never been before. After over 16 hours of driving and being crammed into a car with our luggage piled around us, we got to Montana. It all started with my cousin Grace wanting to go to Flathead lake in Montana. The funny part of this is that she saw it on instagram and it said that Supposedly this lake is one of the largest natural freshwater lake that is west of the Mississippi river in the United States. So my Mom, me, my Grandma, cousin Grace, and Aunt Sarah all packed up our bags of luggage into the car and left for a vacation with no plans and nowhere booked to stay. I think that was one of the exciting parts about the trip is knowing that we are going somewhere we have never been before, but we also did not have any plans where we were staying either. The trip was an exciting mystery, especially going with two of my favorite people that I don’t get to see often. The two people that made my trip amazing because I do not get to see them much was my Grandma and cousin Grace. My Grandma is one of the most important person in my life. She is strong, loving, and a caring person, but also has fears like anybody else. She has shown me to become a …show more content…
It was pure joy once we got into Montana because we were almost there. Driving in Montana for the first time was very cool because I have never seen mountains like this in real life before. They looked small from a far distance, but once you got close up to them it was like one giant mountain that was so big from the bottom of it looking up. One town that we went through that stuck out to me was Butte, Montana, this town had a 90’ statue dedicated to the virgin Mary. This statue was very cool to see because it was so high up in the sky and sat on top of the mountains. It looked like it was there for protecting the land and the people from down
So after our visit to Cedar Lake we set off on our way to the badlands. Now this isn't going to be like the kind of story where i talk about our amazing time their and skip all the driving. This is about the trip their and the many of complications but many of miracles. Our trip to the badlands is one of the most inspirational parts of this entire book. Their are many of places and times when God really reveales himself to us and shows us his great mercy.
Every year, my family goes on a snowmobile trip with my friend Aftyn’s family in Spearfish, South Dakota. About two years ago, we drove out for our trip as usual. The first day was super fun. We stopped at Four Corners, a fun hill to climb, and we did lots of racing. The second day was a little more eventful.
It’s about six hours since you left for Arizona . The way things have been, I know you wouldn’t have expected me to come to see you off. I was so focused on getting by on my own in the city, I didn’t realize how much I missed being with friends. And it was only today I realized how much I’ve missed you. You were my best friend for as long as I can remember, and it’s been almost two weeks since I last talked to you.
Getting down to Nebraska was harsh and the trail was dusty. The children like me had to take care of the animals. Jim, Antonia and myself became really good friends after living next door to each other for a while and we do everything together. When I work, I help my dad to plant and harvest crops and hunt for food. We planted and harvested corn, potatoes, pumpkin, wheat, peas, carrots and tomatoes.
24 Hour Limo If my friend and I could have a limo for 24 hours I would want to go to South Dakota. Three things I would want to do there are, got to Mount Rushmore, The Badlands, and Crazy Horse Monument. The first place we could go to is Mount Rushmore. We could go there because it is the only monument that has all four presidents heads carved into rock.
In the summer before my junior year of high school I spent 4 weeks tearing down fences, cutting saplings, staining buildings, learning about my goals and ambitions, and building fences across Montana. When I put in my application for the Montana Conservation Corps I thought it would only be benefit my life by filling up my summer and doing manual labor. However, the first day with my crew proved that assumption wrong, for I learned how to make unlikely friends, how to work hard, and how to be a steward of the land. My experience with the Montana Conservation Corps split my high school experience in half. My first two years I was unmotivated, lazy, and impressionable but through those 4 weeks I learned how to be myself.
To be honest, so far I wasn't impressed with this trip, there was nothing to look at. It seemed like nothing wanted to live out there. No trees, no grass, or anything like that. We were coming up on the first town we have seen in about 200 miles.
I don’t mind at all, but I’ve warned you haha. That’s so great. I love traveling, but my family isn’t really the traveling type (probably because we’re so big and it’s expensive).
After years of waiting and preparing we started on the journey to the west. We made our way to Independence, Missouri to go on the Oregon Trail which was laid by traders and trapers. While there I became familiar with George Wilson who was also a working family man. A lot of families left together making the trail busy and causing jams..
Hello! Yes I am doing well and had been travelling a lot recently. I am going to Big Bear Lake in CA this weekend with a couple friends. Time to ski! haha
The place looked a lot like this. It smelled of fried fish and sunscreen, with a side of fries. I still cannot believe it happened. He just shot him like Han Solo and Greedo at the Cantina. Then the next shot hurt even more.
Who knew going to the Lake of the Ozarks would be so much fun? Before I went to the Lake of the Ozarks I was bored to pieces at home. I was packing and just sitting around after that. I was watching tv and doing nothing. It was horrible because I was so anxious to just leave and get there.
Lake Cumberland is a best-loved place to go for vacation mostly because of all the memories created there, but my favorite trip there was when we went camping this past summer. Since summer was ending and there was a three day weekend, my family decided to camp at the lake. Friday after school my mom, dad, sister and I drove down to Kentucky with the boat and stayed at a hotel, so the next day it would only take about an hour and a half to get to the dock. That hour and a half is a lot better than six hours from our house! Once we got down to the dock, we payed and took everything out of the truck and put it in the boat, then everyone but my dad had to get in the boat and my dad backed it down the ramp.
Everyone has a personal experience! One of the experience I had is the chance to go to Mexico for the first time. I was much excited to go and finally experience, myself all the things my friends and family would talk about. One of the reasons I want to go to Mexico is because I want to see how my parents grew up there and go around and explore the place. I’m very excited because I would be able to tell my friends how it is in Mexico, since we’re always talking about it.
A Montana Fishing Trip As we walked down to the river, the birds were making a whistling noise, and it was quite annoying because the birds were so loud Will and I could barely hear each other. When we were walking down to the river on a rock that was on the path was a famous quote from Muhammad Ali and it was about the river and it said “Rivers, Ponds, Lakes, and Streams - they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do - they all contain truths.”
