Father Never Was My Favorite
My uncle was a monk, but he was turned into dust just the last month. While relatives and I were gathered in the temple bot, some well-meaning relatives persuade me, probably for the sixty-sixth time, to convince fathers to quit drinking; and I smiled back like sixty-five times before and said that I will try again. Although I cannot figure out the relevance between my uncle’s death and my father’s alcoholic habits, I learned from times not to defend him because it is useless. Maybe this time my lips are not curved enough, so they could not feel my sincerity; my father’s alcoholic habits became dramatically connected to the event, illogically.

He offered me the story about the collapse business. I simply responded him like my father simply informed me when we had to move out house that it was caused by his own incompetence in running business. And yet, he exchanged with me the story that made my father to be his favorite cousin.
I conclude that my father was a timber trader; the time the business was running down, firstly, is caused by the economic crisis in 1997. Some of his clients are regular clients that he approves the credits. They postponed the payment and my grandfather forbade my father not to rush these privileges. Six out of ten clients did not settle the bills. Moreover, my grandfather had guaranteed a ten million bath loan for his friends and it turned out that his friends’ business was run down in the same year, so he fled and left three million bath debts to us.
Linking this part with the memory about grandfather those years, I assume that because he was ashamed of leaving his son these troubles or else, he turned to gambling. The reason why the characters in “The Old Grandfather and his Little Grandson” and “Abuelito Who” are extremely similar is because they both are described with identical characters. Throughout my whole life, my father has been an alcoholic. There have been times when he has tried to quit, but it never lasted for more than a few months. His addiction has brought on stressful times for my family. Some days we did not know where he was or if he was coming home. Brad Bell 01/18/2018 WR121 In the story “Arm Wrestling with My Father” by (Brad Manning) Manning talks about his relationship with his dad and how they communicate and show affection towards one another, he goes on into the story talking about how things change over time and how somethings that you used to fantasies about are now merrily a thing of the past and you no longer wish for those things anymore and begin to realize that what you have in even better. In the story the author uses both sight and touch to really communicate with the audience on how his father and him interacted around each other, both when they were younger and as time went on and things changed. Also In this essay Manning used tone to establish the effectiveness of the story.

Once Louie’s friends and family realized how bad his drinking habit was they begged him to stop, but their words were not convincing enough. Then one day Louie turned to God and stopped drinking.
