Hi my name is William and today I am doing my assignment on Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s is a progressive mental deterioration that mostly occurs in middle aged to old aged patients. It is due to generalized degeneration of the brain. It is the most common cause of premature senility. Although it’s not confirmed scientist believe for most people, Alzheimer’s disease results from a combination of genetic, life styles and environmental factors that affect the brain over time. Less than 5% of the time, Alzheimer’s is caused by specific genetic changes that virtually guarantee a person will develop the disease. Memory loss may be another form of Alzheimer’s or another is dementia. Alzheimer’s is a brain disease that causes slow decline in memory,
The biggest memory that I had was when I was sent to foster care. It started years ago when my dad decided to drink every single day and social services didn’t think that was something kids to be around so my sister and I had to stay with my grandma for a few months. We couldn’t stay with my mom because she didn’t have a house or a job and none of her boyfriends wanted kids in their house. My mom didn’t like us staying with our grandma because she’s not a nice person to be around.
Memories are one of the most important parts of life, there is no true happiness without the reminiscence of pain or love. This concept is portrayed in "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. The story tells of a 12-year old Jonas, who lives in a “utopian” society, where all bad memories are destroyed to avoid the feeling of pain. Jonas becomes the receiver, someone who receives good and bad memories, and he is transmitted memories of pain and pleasure from The Giver and is taught to keep the secret to himself. The author shows one should cherish memories, whether it be good or bad, as they are all of what is left of the past, and we should learn from it as to better ourselves in the future.
Memories help you remember the past and help you make decisions.
We, as a species have a hard time admitting when we are wrong. How do you live with something that has no cure? Sure, they have medication and counseling that can help subdue the problem for a short time being, but, it’s always there, haunting the corners of your mind. Attention Deficit Disorder, or ADD is a somewhat commonly known. People sort of know what it is, but that doesn’t mean that they completely understand what it is. The problem is more People believe the myths of ADD, such as, ADD is more about a lack of willpower, when in factuality, it is so much more complex than simply not wanting to focus. It’s not that I don’t want to focus, it’s that I physically can’t at certain times. There is something wrong, chemically, with my brain.
Considering they were not adopted their memory would not involve any parents like most of yours did. Credibility /Connection Material (mythos/ethos): Again I want you to think about your childhood. Only this time I want you to imagine where you grew up.
I. Just imagine waking up one morning and not knowing or remembering anything you did yesterday or the past years of your life? Well that’s what people who have dementia go through. They cannot remember who their kids are or anyone around them. II. Dementia effects your memory and a person’s ability to achieve a normal everyday task and activities.
Struggling to remember if where you left your cell phone? Forgot to pick up an important note from the office? Has the meeting with your therapist that you booked a week ago completely forgotten? A frail memory can be totally disappointing in our daily life!
"Do you know why most survivors of the Holocaust are vegan? It's because they know what it's like to be treated like an animal,” as said by Chuck Palahniuk, the man himself. The term Holocaust has been studied by many different sceintists for over 30 years and The holocaust was a very murderous event killing over 11 million people. The man who lead the very murderous event was Adolf Hitler. In some schools, the teachers try not to even bring up the holocaust because they try to forget about it. In this essay, I will be including what the holocaust means, the life of the notorious Adolf Hitler, the disrespectful treatment by the Nazis to the Jews, and finally the response of other countries such as America during 1933 to 1945.

Jenner realized that milkmaids (tend to cattle) frequently contracted cowpox, but after they convalesced they were immune to the deadlier disease smallpox.

By the end of my speech, 212 underprivileged children around the world would be clenching their stomach and wobbling from garbage dumps to garbage dumps, searching for half- eaten food. 5 children in India would leave school to work in a dilapidated undergarment factory for 14 straight hours, enduring whipping, and pain just for 3 bowls of rice. 3 children in Africa would be dead after being beheaded by heartless invaders. The power to change this situation lies with every one of you present today. Basic necessity such as food, basic education, security are few of many things that underprivileged children lack. As my speech continues, I would firstly, convince you on why underprivileged children need more help than ever. Secondly, I will show you how you can help them and why we cannot afford to not help
