The Faraway Land
I woke up in the morning as usual and ate kraft dinner for breakfast. On my way to school, these kids came and offered me to join them in a game of hiding go seek. They told me that if I won, they would give me 10 dollars. But I would only win if they gave up. I decided to accept because my family was in need of money. As they started to count, I quickly ran into the forest. After some time, I realized that I haven’t heard the other kids come after me. I looked around for 5 minutes or so, but still no sign of them. As I continued to wander around, I found a huge tree with a hole in the trunk. I hopped in because I figured that no one would think to look for me there. Once I was inside the tree, it suddenly began to creak and

That in truth they were evil creatures who survive by taking souls of visitors. They can only take the souls of people from foreign lands though and not people who live in this world. The people tried to burn your house because they were nice people and wanted you to leave immediately. Same with the assassination, they were just to tempt me to leave not an attempt to harm me. The rest of it, however, was all for a show. Now that I knew this I felt obligated to help them because they had told me the truth and saved me from ever coming back again. I asked how I could repay them and they said by teaching them how to do things more effectively because where they live because they were not very modern and had outdated technology. I told them how to farm and hunt along with other things. Before they knew it they had transformed into the mightiest and wealthiest of the villages. They eventually crushed the town I had lived in and gotten the other towns to merge with them, life was all well and eventually, I became king of this place. I eventually grew old and stepped back from the position of king. I grew ill though, and I had to be cared for intensively. I fell into a coma and woke up 2 months
The Strange Island I was dropped off upon on a mysterious island to find a place to build my ideal hunting cabin. I was armed with a pickaxe, a hatchet, and a pistol. The first night I just laid my sleeping bag by the fire I made with twigs and the flint and steel I brought along. After I got my Barings I went out scouting for game. I found a trophy Mule deer after just being out for an hour.
Into Thin Air By Jon Krakauer Into Thin Air is a non-fiction and adventure book that details the disaster that occurred in 1996 at Mount Everest, and it started as a magazine article. The book is a personal account of the author Jon Krakauer, a professional writer and mountaineering hobbyist, who was sent on the Everest expedition by Outside Magazine with the task of writing an article about his experience. In my opinion, people should read Into Thin Air because it is a story about survival, and it teaches readers valuable lessons about character, drive, and perseverance.
1. INT. UNIVERSITY HALLWAY. DAY The hallway is cold and lonely.
One warm Friday afternoon two summers ago, I was invited to go on a trip to Carowinds. I always wanted to go, so this was the perfect opportunity for me. To experience something, I have wanted since I was a little girl. I remember sitting on the sofa at my boyfriend’s house in their den watching tv and his mother came in talking to us about how she wants to plan a little trip to Carowinds. To get away for the weekend and have a good time and relax.
This time I ran to the door to catch what was making that noise, and I hid next to the door. There was a light moving around my front door in circles, like someone had a flashlight, moving it around. I stood sideways at the door, determined to catch whatever was there. When I stood sideways at the door to catch what was in the bushes, I looked through the window on the door -and I saw a whole family.
“Then let’s go.” “Ok…” The two sisters went outside to play hide and seek. The woods behind their backyard were huge, so they didn’t go very far out. The trees blocked off most of the light from the sun and there was an eerie silence.
"The prisoner is escaping!" a soldier yelled. I then began running for my life, I got to a wide open field and ran to the tree line on the right. There was a big pile of brush in the tree line, I ran to it and hid in it. I watched as the Germans walked by and then they realized they lost me.

I cringe at the smell of alcohol floating around the apartment. A cold shiver simmers down my spine as I hear footsteps making their way to my room. 3 loud, hard knocks bang on the door. I open the door waiting for it. Waiting for the rock solid slap that pierces my face everyday leaving bruises and black eyes the size of tennis balls.
It all goes back to the year 2001, the month of April on 5th, a time when there was an eclipse of the moon or a lunar eclipse as those who know it better, may call it. The interactions in the cosmic world full of fantasies lead to the emergence of a new species of human-like creatures. I believe there must have been some nuclear reactions that took place when the sun and the moon-faced one another, and finally some evolution occurred. The nuclear reaction must have been a unique one. Consequently, it led to the rise of the dead to be part of the living; the zombies finally came into existence.
During that time, people held deep fears of the unknown, demonic, and supernatural. One particular aspect of the text that may strike us as surprising, strange, and even bizarre is the belief
It was a late and rainy October night. Three kids at the age of 10 wanted to go on a journey to Ash Forest. They told their parents that they were having a sleepover that night. They left after the parents were asleep at 12:00am. When they arrived at Ash Forest, a loud whistling sound with strong wind came from the trees.
From this little lie at the time, it caused a massive fear and hysteria throughout the town. Further in the story we find there are hidden hatred, jealousy, and lust between the people
