The heart of a woman in my own words is a museum ; it is a place with both old and new things in the form of memories transformed to secrets. A woman goes through a lot; Some funny, others peculiar and some just absurd. It is called the journey of being a woman.
As a woman, there is this man you are so madly in love with, you are not only ‘feeling’ him whenever you set eyes on him but you are also so obsessed with him. The only problem is that, he doesn’t even seem to notice you in the first place.
It hurts, indeed so bad from within’ but it’s a story you’d rather not share with anyone. Not even your best friend since she cannot approve of such behavior and she will see it as an act of desperation and lack of principles. Especially when you

You really hate it, but how can you start telling someone what you feel deep inside your heart? You obviously don’t want to be seen as that careless girl ‘who needs more wood for the fire, ’ thus goes around sleeping with men in the hood and yet afraid of taking responsibility. Again you remember that there is always consequences for whichever actions we take and for you….your case is a no exception. You will for the rest of your life live with it.
The heart of a woman is a probably a den with many lions called secrets; as time passes, months and years, we bore more secrets and let them grow in our hearts, not because we like it but because as a matter of fact our hearts were meant to be home for secrets whichever the kind.
At least now am convinced that all women are the same if not almost the same since their hearts go through almost the same experience .Despite all these, the most important thing is to know that being as a woman is not as easy as putting on nice clothes, shoes and wearing makeup. It is a task only entrusted to the chosen few.
You need to be wise, have a strong will to move on, never say die! Being a woman is actually a no joke, trust me. Let’s all show this by respecting the women in our lives because like it or not, admit it or not, believe it or not, there is that special woman in your
What this examplifes is that men think that if a woman wants to pursue her dream and is very anxious about getting it accomplished then that makes them attached. The narrator wants to own a house and Ramon changed his mind about what he wanted and told her to forget about the whole thing which frustras her because she has plan and goals that she wants to achieve. She expresses how she feels about wanting to achieve such goals and because she feels this way she is seen as overly attached or emotional because of it. Society tells people that if a woman has strong feelings about something it is because she is infatuated with something, but when a man is concerned about their goals it is the, being ambitious and taking a risk which gives a negative connotation for women to be concerned, but a positive connotation for
In the short story “Jealous Husband Returns in Form of a Parrot” written by Robert Butler, the narrator a parrot, tells of his two life stories. It was about two years ago, my sophomore year. Around that time I met this person at one of the footballs games, started talking and we just “clicked” instantly and he soon became one of my bestfriends and he became the person I cared about the most, we did everything together. The problem was that I became a little obsessed, I even went to the extent of pushing my other friends away. But that's all he was in my life, a friend, and I was happy/content with that, but it still hurt to watch him fall in love with another person who I used to be close with. It broke my heart and a part of me felt like I wasn't good enough, I didn't blame anyone but myself.
Short stories are a delicacy in literature. Some short stories have comparable plots, themes, or even characters. Lucynell Crater from “The Life You Save May Be Your Own” by Flannery O’Connor and Maggie Johnson from “Everyday Use” by Alice Walker are two controversial women created in the American Literature movement. Lucynell and Maggie are both vulnerable characters that depend on others for survival in life through different experiences of innocence, race, and class in the American South.
In the story “The Story of an Hour” Mrs. Mallard thinks her husband dies from getting in an accident and she doesn't react like people think she should. The feminist lens is represented through most of the story. The feminist lens looks at how women are supposed to act and be in society and focuses on if the do a action that is manly or not. In the story when Mrs. Mallard’s husband dies she hides how she truly feels from everyone else and goes in a room to express it. She doesn’t cry forever she only cries for a little bit.
A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest Gaines, is about Grant and Jefferson who are two black men that have drastically different views on life as one of them is college educated, while the other has no formal schooling. They refused to change their old ways and stayed closed minded throughout most of the novel . Being African American in Louisiana during the 1940s facing racism didn’t help Grant and Jefferson since whites did everything they could to degrade them. Towards the end, they evolved into caring and brave characters due to the influence of motherly-like women such as Grant's aunt Tante Lou and Miss Emma, who is Jefferson’s godmother . Miss Emma and Tante Lou, were influential female role models who instructed Grant to visit Jefferson and see him stand up for his rights, and so did Vivian, Mr. Wiggin's girlfriend who encouraged her significant other to follow Miss Emma’s and Tante Lou’s advice.
Carol Rifka Brunt, a novelist, once wrote, “Maybe I was destined to forever fall in love with people I couldn’t have. Maybe there’s a whole assortment of impossible people waiting for me to find them. Waiting to make me feel the same impossibility over and over again.” This quote can be located inside of Brunt’s novel Tell the Wolves I’m Home. This novel is a heart wrenching story about love and grief.
I don’t feel anything about it. . .Half an hour after it happened. Dick was making jokes and I was laughing at them. . .I’m human enough to feel sorry for myself.
I know you are very upset but I think you should not be seeing different guys at the same time just to distract yourself from the pain. You are only doing harm to your body and you are going to be mentally and physically strained in the long term. You are basically harming your body by seeing different partners at the same time as you might be infected with Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), as they are contagious diseases spread by sexual contact. You might not even know that you are infected since you are seeing different partners at the same time.
The heart is compared to a house, that has windows and is solely occupied by only your self. The “windows” are the small parts of your true feelings that you let other people see. The only person that can see the entire house of your heart, is you. But Doyle suggests, “Perhaps we must. Perhaps we could not bear to be so utterly naked, for fear of a constantly harrowed heart”(Doyle, 96).
During the revolution women were responsible for managing the household. Such as making clothes, cleaning the house and taking care of the kids. The women of the era were considered to have no moral ranking. The men were asked to fight wars, there were a lot of different women such as Abigail Adams, Molly Pitcher and Martha Washington and many more. There were also those who would hide their gender in order to fight.
I start to cry. Cry over her, cry over him. Why on earth would he do this? There’s no reason. He’s probably out there now, murdering his other best friends.
Imagine how it feels to be stuck in a tiny, miniscule room for almost two years, not able to make a sound or movement and if heard by someone, death or concentration camp is the destination? The essay, “What I’ve Learned from Men”, by Barbara Ehrenreich is an impressive piece of writing focusing on a significant theme which is still present and is witnessed to this day. The theme that the author discusses is the on-going gender issues shedding light on the differences between men and women. Throughout the essay, Ehrenreich argues about the one thing women need to learn from men: how to be tough. She support this argument by providing a personal experience, taking her back to the time when she didn’t acknowledge the quality of being tough and falling victim to sexual harassment. She then explains this act as “behaving like a lady” and continues to support her claim by stating facts describing how women tend to act nice or “as a lady” by being the ones responsible to keep the conversation with a man going and constantly smiling even when unneeded and even when expressing anger and displeasure.
