The biggest challenge that I have faced so far happened in 2016. I just joined Francis Parker and I got an academic scholarship. I was just crazy enough to join the football team. I later realized since there was no freshman football team that I was playing on varsity. I was 89 pounds and just above 5 foot.
Redesigning the Football Helmet Head to head contact is a very serious matter. Kids, adults, and everyone in between are getting hurt in football due to the hard hits they take either in practice or games. The goal is to make football safer but people are still getting hurt and even killed. There are new helmets coming out every year but still not eliminating the problem.
“A house is made of walls and beams… A home is made of love and dreams,” (William Arthur Ward). As teammates, we are brothers on that field, and we have to put everything out on that field together. We have to show love towards each other because without it; we will fall. We have to work together to see our dreams realized or we will be crushed.
Without a doubt, there has always been a great risk of injury while participating in contact sports. The participants involved in any contact sporting event are always susceptible to being injured. These participants are completely aware of the everyday risk, but the energy that these sports bring, keep them going regardless. Over the years, there have been countless numbers of injuries due to the nature of these sports, but still millions of people young to old gain interest everyday. While people young to old are gaining interest everyday to contact sports many parents of young children are being faced with the issue either to allow their children to participate in often dangerous sports.
my best passage is wieghing the risk is because they talk about how the players can stop getting hurt and how when they run head up the get bad injuries and broken bones. this passage is a good way to stop football injuries.this is more safer because it talks about how to provent football injuries.this is good for young ones who read this passage.i think in football they should make more gear.they should make a stronger helment.all these bad injuries come from the gear.football gear should
When I was eleven years old, I tore my anterior cruciate ligament, more commonly known as the ACL while playing in a football game. Being only eleven years old, this was a pretty unusual injury as most ACL tears do not happen until mid to later teens. Hearing that I tore my ACL was pretty devastating. I did not know much about it, but I knew enough to know I would be out of sports for a long time. The next nine months of my life were spent with one goal in mind: getting back to sports.
Introduction It was the beginning of my 5th grade school year, and I decided that I wanted to begin a new sport. On the first day of practice, having never played the sport, our coach lined us all up on the field. Our team had a quarterback from the previous year that was returning, but he had no one to back him up this season. As coach Link stood back to examine his future team, unexpectedly, he pointed at me and said, “you are going to play quarterback”. Excited, reflecting back, it was one of the best moments of my life.

My feet hop on the cement as the excitement from the crowd drives through my body. The tunnel under the stadium is filled with my teammates excitement as well. We’re all eager to begin the final game of the World Cup. After hearing the announcer call for the U.S. Women 's soccer team we all start to sprint out to the turf. The rays from the sun beam on my skin and I feel as if the light has enlightened me more.
Football had a major impact on my life, playing football helped me to communicate with others creating an brotherly bond with my fellow teammates. Playing this sport taught me a lot like size doesn't matter, it's all about hard work and dedication like it's your last time playing on the field. Football showed me how to be mentally and physically strong, to be a leader and lead by example. This sport became apart of my life being apart of the community and making my town happy, I love playing this sport and being with my teammates because even when there is time it's an easy day my teammates always push me to do my best so I can get better every time I'm on the field. Football helped me to care about others and to do what I have to help my
I have 3 long-term sports injuries... all in my legs. I have planters fasciitis, Osgood Schlatters and I was born with loose ligaments in my legs. The Lateral Collateral ligaments in my legs are loose, apparently it’s very rare. This was a turning point in my life because it showed me how much harder I have to work if I want any type of sports career, I found out I had these 1 by 1.
I owe my success to my failures, and I’m very grateful for them. The biggest failure of my life was when I tore my ACL. Without this major blow to my football career, I wouldn’t have had a football career at all. In my trials and tribulations I found myself, like steel that’s been tested in fire.
