Going fishing
It was early one sunday morning my dad woke me up we were going to go fishing. the sun was still rising when i woke up. My mom was making me and my dad some lunch for when we were on the boat. I got dressed, ate breakfast, and brushed my teeth. Then after that we grabbed our lunches and we were off to go fishing. Then stopped at three places a gas station, lumberjacks, and fishing sort of store next to the boat launch. we stopped at the gas station to get a little bit more food and to get some worms. Then we went to lumberjacks my dad went in and i stayed in the truck when he came out I had no clue what he dad. When we got to the boat launch we went to a little bait shop that was right next to the boat launch we got some small fish that I had no clue what it was and one minute in there felt like forever. Then when we got out I

It was a while until we got our first fish of the day and when we got our first fish it was back and forth first it was me then my dad over and over again. Then I got a huge perch well I thought it was a big one it wasn't huge. It was out of the water and next to the boat when I thought will I get it in? nope I didn’t get the perch in the boat and I was really sad. my eyes felt like water was going to run down my face. And like lost my confidence of fishing I was really sad. And then I really didn’t feel like fishing I got a few other small fish but I was still sad. But then I reeled in another that was like the one I lost and I was really hoping i would get him when he came out of the water and next to the boat my heart was beating I was hoping i wasn't going to lose him.
And I was super happy after I got him I gained my confidence back. And I wanted to see if I could get any more fish. After a while i was getting a little tired and bored. So after a while longer my dad asked if he wanted to call it quits. And I said sure let's go
At first the boat went slow and the driver turned on some loud music. All of a sudden we saw some dolphins riding the waves. They were jumping and playing just like children! I was so happy to finally see dolphins. It looked like they were having fun.
As we got in the big red truck my dad said you ready and I said ‘YES’. There we are on the road. As we entered Omaha
It was orange so I named it Peaches and it died in less than two weeks. I never got another fish
After a while of driving the boat looking for a spot to fish, we found a spot. The spot was perfect , and we were fishing in fifteen feet of water on a weed edge. Then, we put our rigs down. We were using Lindy rigs with a leech and started fishing. Then, my grandpa's drag started screaming -- he had a fish!
“Tip Up!” My dad yells as we are ice fishing up at our cabin. We are on Little Crooked Lake, we have never iced fished on this lake before, but we had good luck on there in the summer so we decided to try it again in the winter. We drove down the road to where the road cuts off to the boat landing, it wasn’t plowed so we backed down with the truck.
A few weeks ago, I hit the surface of a lake while going forty miles per hour. It all started when we made the one and a half hour trip up to Bartlett lake. When we arrived, we promptly proceeded to unload everything from the small trailer. The trailer felt like it was two hundred feet long because unloading took forever. We then searched for flashlights and lanterns so we could see in the dark.
When I was around ten years old, my brother and I went on a sailing trip with our grandfather. On the trip, we sailed along the southern coast of North America all the way to Florida. Every time we would stop I would grab my fishing rod and a bag of smelly decaying bait shrimp. When we arrived to Florida, we dropped anchor near Key West right by an amazing reef. I can still remember the vibrant colors of the coral in the crystal clear water.
Sparrows big as eagles! I turned around to look at this fellow and he had this light coming out of him. I had to cover up my eyes to keep from being blinded. He shining like new money…looked over and seen my daddy standing there. He was the same…
We all know the saying “give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish feed him for a lifetime.” Although this may have been true in the past Fishing has evolved into much more than a way to feed one self. Fishing has evolved into a way to let go and truly bond with those around you. From a young age my father instilled the peaceful sound of rushing water and the beauty of nature into my life. Fishing has been a part of my life even back in the days where I could not fish on my own and my father would let my brother and I reel in the fish that he had caught.
When he got back we both fished for another hour and we were gonna call it a day. Every time we caught a fish it smelt really bad because the fish sometimes just flat out had a disgusting smell. After an hour we caught a lot more pretty fish with black stripes down them and so we were gonna call it a day because it was like 5:00 in the afternoon. So we packed up and gathered all of our stuff and we looked at our phone’s
We woke up full of energy and ate breakfast. My mom had a few more things to pack up. We had to wait for her in the car. As soon as my mom came my dad turned the car on and we started the trip. The roads were very slippery
I told him that we forgot to buy some and he told me that he is having Jimmy bring some out. We use the chicken liver as bait for the catfish. I brought all of the fishing stuff down near the water to get ready to fish. My dad grabs our two fishing chairs and our drinks. We start fishing and get nothing but little bluegill for
I was so delighted that see that and wanted to catch my own. Then my brother's friend started to catch fish too and I was about to crack. I tried to keep myself calm and was saying to myself that I'm going to catch a fish. The clock was ticking, hours passing by and I wasn't catching anything.
“The journey will never go as expected, life is going to throw in some curve balls and wait to see what happens.” This is the central message to the story that my father tells several times a year anytime we are about to go on a trip. The story all begins with my Pawpaw John. Pawpaw John was a very loved and lighthearted man who was an avid outdoorsman. He grew up poor, so he was a handy man out of necessity.
I pulled back and had the fish hooked. I knew it had to be a big fish because it was hard to reel in. After about 25 or 30 minutes the fish was almost at the doc. Then I started to pull it out of the water and that’s when I realized it was a shark. The shark was about two feet long and weighed 45 pounds.
