The first time I got interested in basketball was in 8th grade. I went to the informational meeting for modified basketball because I wanted to try out for a school sports team. I signed up to try out because I wanted to try something new. I never played basketball in my life. I always played recreational soccer.
Some guys and maybe even girls that happen to play a sport might have that certain goal that they are determined to reach and won't stop until it is achieved. For example, in basketball, whether it may be to make a certain amount of baskets or catching as many passes in one handed during practice. My goal started when I began to play basketball I wanted to be able to dunk, something about the ability to be up so high in the air and slamming the ball into the hoop with such aggression was so mesmerizing. Going to open gyms and not seeing alot of people with the ability to dunk the ball would give me that sense of relieve that soon I’ll be the only one to dunk the ball and everybody would look in awe. Took me to the end of my sophomore year to
I once took a risk when I played basketball. Risk can happen every time in our life not except playing the sport like basketball. Sports activity like basketball, we need to be careful about the accident because it is an activity to play with another player who plays with you. On Sunday, I was playing basketball with my friends who study in IC faculty in the basketball court at Mahidol university near to documentary 11. I and my friends were fun to playing basketball every week.
When I heard it that 's when I was running as fast as I can then notice I had the lead the whole way, that 's when I become a track star. When it comes to playing basketball I didn 't play for my school because that take time away from me from running track I couldn 't do both at the same time, therefore I was unable to play basketball for my school but I would play it with my friends, at the park where they refer to me as an Nba player known as Nate Robinson because I was short, fast, and quick. if it wasn’t for track and field I would’ve had play basketball for my
As a young boy realizing this was not the most motivating thing. It really makes you think about what is important to you. I can still remember the way that my life was changed by sports. As a young child, my whole life revolved around basketball, watching it, playing it, and talking about it. Every year for my birthday, my family would give me a jersey of the newest player on the Celtics.
During warm ups many athletes would dunk the ball during the layup drill. During the game I observed how quick the point guards would get past defenders and also how fast the defenders recovered on defense. Conclusion: In conclusion the overall importance of this assignment was to observe and analyze the behaviors of athletes and teams in their natural sport setting. I believe observing this men’s basketball game has taught me a lot. Through observations, I learned that the amount of time and dedication the athletes and teams put into and in preparation for a game and sport in general is
One summer, there was a kid named Dean Gullberry and Dean liked to play the game of basketball. Dean would always go out to the river court and do what he does best. Dean had three best friends that he had always spent time with 24/7 playing basketball and just hanging out. His friends Ben Dover who lived across the street from Dean, Dixie Normous who Dean met at the river court but didn’t go to his school, and Jack Koffing who Dean met playing travel ball back at Compton. Dean Gullberry had always wanted to play in his city’s basketball league but people kept on saying that he wasn’t good enough, strong enough or big enough to be in the league.
My family has been supporting me for basketball and has always believed in me and they say,” You just put all your effort in and hustle out there and play good defense.” I have been playing for 7 years, so that impacts because i get more experience for playing basketball, so i get better. Also, it’s been a impact on me because even my friends were supporting me when you make a shot or steal and take a charge in basketball. Finally, it has impact me because my brother played basketball and i want to follow in his
Before receiving this assignment I was living the dream. I was playing college basketball and living with two of my best friends and teammates. The night before we were first informed about the M.I.R.R.O.R. assignment I injured my knee for the third time, and my life completely turned upside down. I have been forced to move back in with my parents in Ankeny and have needed help with almost every daily task of my life.
I love watching basketball, and I 've always wanted to play it. In middle school though my sports were Cross Country and Track, so I have basically zero experience with any kind of team sports (the only exception would be the stuff in PE). I actually went to the state championship in the 100m in middle School so I am a fairly athletic guy (about 10 pounds heavier now though). Guys at my schools play pickup basketball once a week during free time in gym and I 've been trying to join in, but I just have absolutely no idea what I should be doing while on offense. I actually am a decent rebounder and usually score a few points a game from offensive rebounds.
When I was in elementary school I want to get in to our basketball team because during that time I really like to play basketball. I was playing with friend during break time and sometimes after school. Compare to others I am really new to basketball and many other students were played more than me. My skill wasn’t that good and I barely know all the rules of basketball, but I like so much I want to get in the team. The trial is for everyone and all the people who like to play basketball could join.
Steven was mostly raised by his mother because his father was mostly in prison. Steven loves to work out and play basketball. He’s a very big fan of the Knicks and, Carmelo Anthony. Steven played at the JV Basketball team for Truman but because his grades were not good they took him off the team. The position he played was point guard and, shooting guard.
The class of 2016 I 'm actually surprised I made it this far but I made it this far because of my friends and family especially the teachers. it could not have been easy putting up with me all these years, picking me up when I falter, trying to get me on track when I 'm staring into space (which is pretty much all the time.) I have had some good times and bad times at Ella Lewis, mostly bad (Just Kidding.) Some of the good memories are like when I tried to dunk a basketball in the basketball hoop and ended up landing on my back. I really liked hooking up most of the garden’s irrigation system and fixing Mrs. Wells watch because she can’t seem to do it herself.
“Why can’t we get into our freaking offense! ?” This is all I really remember from Coach McKendrick at halftime last year against Niles North in what was a tough night for our basketball team. Prior to this, we beat New Trier at home and then went on the road and beat the pre-season unanimous vote to win conference, Highland Park, in our first conference game. Before the New Trier game, our game plan was simple: we were smaller, but faster, so we were going to run the court and make this is a fast pace game. We executed our gameplan, and we won.
