The first factor is the guardian system : every freshman can ask to have a guardian which one will be a senior. So the senior must take care of him, he can help him to do his homework and he is responsible of him. If the students are more prepared to help each other by finding a solution for one of their friend, it is will be easier for them to deal with theirs problems alone. The second factor is: in some school, seniors replace the teacher for one class : once a week a group of senior must teach to the 6th or the 7th grade. The first time, the teacher will assist them but then they have to do this alone, the teacher has to stay in the class but he must not intervene.
In the course of the year, due to the Peer Leadership program, I feel much more motivated. At the beginning, I was insecure and unable to carry out the responsibilities successfully. Many times I found myself out of place and expressing myself was a challenge since I did not feel confident. But I have been able to feel part of a group for the first time in a class at school. I can share with other peers and unwind more easily in front of them and out of class as well.
For example, in middle school, I had all my class with my best friends. When we had classes together, we would talk, joke around, help each other with class work and homework, but now all of my friends have a different class schedule than I do because they play a different sport, have different electives, or they're doing things they like. Therefore, Seeing my friends find what they enjoy doing and interacting with new people is great, but sometime it's hard because I would feel left out when they talk about things with their new friends. I've grown apart from 3 friends because we don't have any classes together. We still talk once in awhile, but we're just not as close as we were last year.

Consider responsibilities you have taken for initiatives in or out of school. I have been involved in my school’s Link Crew program since my junior year of high school. Through this program I have been able to help incoming freshmen adjust to the high school environment, and have gained skills in leadership and public speaking for myself. When I first joined Link Crew, I was not very confident in leading groups or talking to large groups in general.
Almost forgot the name of my high school is Adrian Wilcox High, home of the thunder if I remember correctly or lightning one of the two but I digress. After the first period of class, which nothing much really happened but explaining school rules and such. I began to realize that high school feels the same as middle school expect there were four times the students than there is in eighth grade; walking down the halls I can feel eyes of the higher grades scoping not only myself but a majority of the other freshmen knowing we are struggling to find our scheduled classes. Lunch finally comes around I start opening up to other students to make and try to make some friends, I remember lunch and after were my favorite times back then my classes were easy and so chill

By the time I had started my freshmen year, I had already acclimated to my new school in East Texas that did not have a theater program. Admittedly, the transition without a theater class proved to be especially difficult for me, but that year I was introduced to my first “official” speech course. It was in that class that I realized while I may have been shy with one-on-one conversations, speaking in front of a group of thirty people was a breeze. Throughout my high school career, especially in during my junior year, how I spoke became more of an asset to me that I could have ever imagined. One especially challenging course for a majority of my class was dual-credit Speech.
When I started my first year in high school at Old Scona Academic, my transition from junior high wasn’t the smoothest. I didn’t know what courses to take nor how to handle the stress. It was in these times that my school’s mentorship program proved invaluable. Returning students had the option of becoming a mentor for new students and my grade 11 mentor cleared up all my worries the second after I had them. So I took inspiration from all the help I was given and am now a mentor for a new grade 10.
How I Graduated High School Have you ever procrastinated for so long that it finally caught up to you? Well that was the story of my life in my senior year of high school. To me, high school wasn’t about learning and doing school work, it was more about hanging out with friends and living a life of leisure and free time. Needless to say, by the end of my sophomore year, everything changed and I learned things the hard way. Getting your responsibilities out of the way, and taken care of is always better done soon rather than later.
The first week of the assignment , I spent a lot of time practicing, helping teammates with their schoolwork, and studying for the LSAT. Although I found this week to be productive in terms of what I accomplished, some of the goals I set out at the beginning of the week I didn’t accomplish. Specifically, I wanted to make an effort to see my non-tennis friends. After joining the team last fall, I haven’t had as much time to hang out with my best friends, which has caused some strain in those friendships. After seeing the amount of time I spent on other things like watching TV and resting, I realize that I could have made a greater effort to spend time with friends.
As I am quickly approaching the end of my senior, I am looking back at how far I have come since freshman year and everything that Henley High School has helped me accomplish in my life. In preparation for the life that every senior must experience after school, the senior capstone project was put in place to help seniors find out what they would suit them as career and give them some of the necessary tools in achieving that. Part of the capstone was earning service hours at a non profit organization, that can go on a resume. With serving came a facilitator, who guides one’s service, and also the challenges and success of the service itself. To Provide help on future careers, Henley High School also provided an opportunity to take the CIS test
It has been about a year since I first met Winn Dixie. I started going to school, and Stevie and Dunlap are both in my class. Dunlap is fine, but Stevie is not. He always gets me into trouble. Because of that, I don’t think I will get the student of the year award.
In keeping with state regulations, Questar III continues to move special education students from a more restrictive environment to a less restrictive environment as they are able. In recent years, our 4:1:2 program (4 students, 1 teacher and 2 aides) had become a default placement for many. And, it became costly and unsustainable. In response, we collected data, reviewed the program and had an honest conversation with our superintendents. As a result, we moved some students into 6:1:2 programs, reducing the number of 4:1:2 classes.
