I am supporting this definition because people should have the opportunity to have a good and happy life. If the definition said people in America or other people have the opportunity to have a good life in America. I have been fortunate enough to have been born into a middle class family and I plan on being a lawyer and if i do I will be middle class or upper middle class. I also give back to the people in need when i’m in church i donate money and I donate during can food drives. To me though this is not the american dream for me but for my parents.
My professors make me want to become a fun, loving person who just cares for others even if I don’t know them. School changes my Christian worldview because of how many things I didn’t know about the Bible that I learned in my classes. I have a family of four including me plus two dogs which I consider family as well. . I grew up in a solid Christian home with amazing parents that did the best
The indentured servitude system was well thought out. Not only were owners paying their servants very little to do their work for them, but they were continuously building the christian faith “army”. Which would eventually result in more people on their
In the past I was trusted with taskes that were of high responsibility. I started out as a expendible piece at Ebenezer Baptist Church I was very active and I was able to keep up with many tasks I was given. At times I was given multiple tasks that require both physical and mental strength and I was able to do both very well. That also helped me when i worked in Friedwald Center where multitasking was a must at that job I had as a
Jesus Christ was willing to help everyone, even though he did not expect any reward for doing so, just as Tom was willing to provide aid to others without want of compensation. A large portion of the Gospels, the four books written detailing Christ’s life, involve Christ’s active ministry, seeking out people to help. Despite this, he did not want anything back. Tom also dedicated a large amount of time to helping others, Mayella in particular. He helped her nearly every day: “Seemed like every time I passed by yonder she’d have some little somethin‘ for me to do—choppin’ kindlin‘, totin’ water for her,” (Lee 194-195).
I’ve had good experience volunteering to serve others in the past. Most of my service opportunities have been through my church, going on mission trips and helping the local community. Even when there’s no reward, helping others is always satisfying. I look at the required NHS volunteer hours as a great opportunity rather than a homework assignment. Leadership can be achieved in two ways; leading by example, and being a vocal leader.
During the past few years, I have had many volunteer and leadership opportunities both in and outside of school. Truth be told, I’ve never been the most outgoing person, but many of these opportunities have helped me to step outside my comfort zone, and take leadership various situations. Through my volunteering experiences, I’ve learned many lessons. I believe that going to Archbishop MacDonald high school will continue to push me outside my comfort zone and become a great leader in my community. One of the first times that I volunteered was for a summer camp at my church.
As of last year I have been truly active at my church, helping them out when possible. I have as well been donating money to multiple foundations throughout the years such as the Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Children 's Research Hospital. Although I may not be the wealthiest person, I’ve always acknowledged that there are people out there in worst situations, truly opening my eyes. I believe that if I were to take part in NJHS my love of service would be a great asset. In addition to leadership and service, I feel as I am qualified to be part of citizenship.
The ER is most understandably, the last place any person wants to be. So it makes out job that much more difficult to give them any sort of comfort when they arrive. But when we do achieve in giving them assurance and comfort, such as in the case of Mrs. Ajelo, then it makes our volunteer experience that more worthwhile. It’s a personal victory for me when I do well by a person. We do our best so that the community comes out of the ER happier than when they arrive.
Despite the fact that Procto had not born into nobility, he has a high stature in the Puritan community, before the trials began. He had a wife, children, served his community well, and earned the respect of the Salem people. The fact that he had not been born into nobility allows the audience to relate themselves to him better. Even though Proctor had an affair with Abigail, he cares more for his wife and children. The audience can relate because they care for their families as well.
