So, me, my boyfriend Shawn, his sister and her friend wanted to ride the rip roarin rapids. Unfortunately, the line was too long so we just proceeded to go to Starbucks and got a vanilla bean Frappuccino and left. We did not get back to Winston until real late, that night. This was a day I will never forget. I had so much fun with all of them.
It was a very bittersweet moment with tears of sadness running down my face and a smile of pure joy on my face. My mom was very confused when we met with her in the lobby, she was watching from the stands and didn’t really know what was happening, so we told her. We took pictures to commemorate the moment, there was lots of hugs and dancing for some reason. Because it was 10pm on a Saturday we weren’t very sure what to do, so we did the thing everyone does, we went and got pizza and milkshakes. It was very weird feeling, but a very interesting story to tell, I wouldn’t give it up for the
The Gilded Love In “The Gilded Six Bits”, a short story by Zora Neale Hurston, the marriage between Joe and Missie May is greatly affected by materialism. Every Saturday afternoon Joe throws nine silver dollars for Missie May to pile beside her plate at dinner; she then runs out to greet him and they play fight with each other. She digs through his pockets for candy kisses and other goods that he has put in them for her to find. They obviously love each other, but I think that in this Hurston is giving a subtle hint of what role materialistic things play in the relationship between them. Slemmons is a wealthy, new man in town that everybody is in awe of; Joe especially, and eventually that leads to hardship in the marriage between him and Missie May.
Do you guys remember the show when Dr. Oz popped by The Oprah Winfrey Show and talked about poop? It was interesting, wasn't it? I sure learned a lot about bowel movements. Man, I miss Oprah show so much. Anyway, when Tiffany asked me if I was interested in reviewing a toilet deodorizer, I didn't even hesitate.
“Es Un Buen Tipo Mi Viejo” While I sat on the plane, I thought about life and my newborn cousins who were born several days ago. I pulled open the window blind and looked out the window at the dark sky as we took off. I was excited to visit the Dominican Republic and started daydreaming about eating my favorite meal, “Arroz blanco con lambi y ensalada de pulpo,” I said out loud by accident. I looked next to me and notice my mom giggling overhearing what I just said. My mouth was watering with the thought of having it as my first meal When I arrived to “mi pais”, I went straight to my grandma’s house, where we ate and where my mom and I are going to be staying.

It’s devouring all the watermelon, peaches, and strawberries you see, enjoying every single bite like it’s your last. The distinct body odor you smell but don’t care if it’s disturbing and wouldn’t do a thing about it because well, those are the perks of summer. Having the smell of burnt wood in your hair after a bonfire, roasting s'mores. We can’t forget the popsicles and slurpees we make our parents buy almost everyday. Summer is eating anything cool to refresh our poor burning bodies, barely being able to take in all the
My obsession with martial arts begins at a young age. Like every other kid growing up, Saturday mornings were my favorite. I remember waking up, jumping out of bed, and sprinting to the kitchen like an Olympic track star trying to beat his personal bests just so I could grab an enormous bowl of Lucky Charms and plant my butt on the couch to watch Power Rangers. I may as well have had roots growing out of my butt because I was not going to move from that couch until my show was over. I was always intrigued with how the colorful heroes could effortlessly take down the never-ending hordes of “Rita’s putty army”.
It's 12-14 and I shoot and I score, the crowd goes crazy. My team mates come over and pick me up and I'm flying high above everyone. My leg kinda hurts but it's not as bad as it was. My team mates and I go to Brahms and I get a double dip hot fudge sundae. It's so good and all my friends come along to and we are pretty much ruling the inside with our group.
The Ballpark was filled with tons and tons of hungry and enthusiastic children. The aroma of cotton candy roared like lions and made their mouths water like an open spring. Paying for a bag of cotton candy is like highway robbery, but is especially pleasing as it melts like a burning candle pleading for water. Children impatiently beg for more and more food and demand a fan favorite dessert known as Dippin Dots! Whether it be Birthday Cake, Banana Split, or Cookies ‘n Cream, Dippin Dots will surely help with your sweet tooth.
Congratulations, you’re starving yourself all because some stupid kid had to come up to you and ask you when you were gonna’ lose some weight. Is that the question you are answering? Or should the real question be is starving yourself worth your health and potentially your life? In the short story, A Letter from the Fringe, by Joan Bauer, the main character Dana and her friend Sally are hanging out together eating cookies for Sally birthday. Doug
