In the middle of the winter of the 5th grade school year at the Kaneland Mcdole Elementary School, I made a decision to protect my best friend so he wouldn't get in trouble from my teacher. It was very cold while I waited at the bus stop every morning trying to amuse myself by sliding down the icy driveways. Ethan S., Sergio, and Grant were my best friends in 5th grade. Sergio was Mexican and a little shorter than me. He also sat next to me in desks of 5 or 4. Grant was the best of friend anyone could have. He loved sports and sitting next to me on the bus. We got on the bus and on the way to school. Upstairs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th classrooms in room 215, I felt really cold on the outside and inside. Everyone in the class watched me come into the …show more content…
I got up and made it to the front of the line. I looked at the specials board and it was gym then music. I really wanted to go to specials today. Specials are like our exploratories in 6th grade except we rotate them every day. Although, the teacher has been yelling at us, gym was okay. Mr. Graves was the best. To bad he left in March. A half-an-hour later, we line up to go back to our classroom. We played Capture the Jacks which is one of the best games in gym, and it was so fun. It is almost the end of the day in which we end with my second favorite lesson. Math with Mr. Berger. Again although my class has been yelled at alot, math was really fun. We learned about tessellation which is formed by repeating one or more shapes so they fit together without leaving any gaps or overlapping. We drew those and it was so fun. After we stopped drawing, we acquired our items and got up to line up to go to our original classrooms. It's a shame. I had so much fun drawing instead of learning math. But, the day must end. And I liked it! We headed back to our classrooms to get our backpacks to get packed up for the end of the
One fine morrning at Kaneland McDole Elemantry school in Montgomery, our 1st grade class was going to gym. We were in the hallway when we started talking to each other. Our teacher told us to be quiet but we kept talking anyway. Then she started saying "One ,Two ,Three ,Four ," we stopped talking. When we were getting close to the gym we started talking again.
NEW PROVIDENCE, NEW JERSEY- This past Friday, on June 5th, the rain did not prevent Salt Brook Elementary School from inviting New Providence High School students from across town for a day of community service. It was the high school’s third community service trip of the year as students previously visited the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside and Allen W. Roberts Elementary School. The 23 high school students on Friday’s trip took part in various field day activities such as the Bean Bag Toss, the Long Jump, and the Spoon and Golf Ball Relay.
When I was attending Kaneland John Shields Elementary School in Sugar Grove, everday was just the same. First we started out with Silent reading our books, and then moved onto reading with our guided reading books. Next, we would move onto writing, where some days we free wrote and others we had an assignment. After Writing we had specials, which consisted of, art, P.E, computer, and music. Then we had lunch, math, and lastly social studies and science.
It was the afternoon, and my class was sitting down while my teacher, Mrs. Curtin, was speaking to the class. I was in fifth grade at the time, and my school was named Kaneland John Shields. My teacher told my class we were going to a pep rally assembly in a few minutes. Mrs. Curtin commented that we should pack our backpacks, the assembly was supposed to last through the rest of the day. Grade by grade, everyone was called to go to the gym.

"Ohh, I am just so excited! " I spoke to Olivia and Sarah. As my class stepped onto the bus we found our friends and sat down. We waited for the other class and then off we went!
At the end of 5th grader we went to a tour at Incline Middle School. We were elated that we will be going to this school! We will be the new 6th graders. I felt so excited. We finally got there.
I was supposed to come to school 40 minutes early every other day for practice. So over the weekend I got the required things, the beginning band book, a stand, cleaning supplies, and a plastic sleeve binder. We went to a store called Shake It Up Music to get all of this. I also started to practice and learn some notes, so I can get a little bit of an early start. Monday came a little too fast as I was pretty worried about band, but I knew it was going to be an interesting experience.
It was something not many teachers did at that time so it was always a treat. Even going back today seeing the carpet
First Week as a Freshman Baseball Player The summer was almost over went I realized that in a couple of weeks I will be in my new school that is not anymore a school, now we are talking about a college. When the times came I was on an airplane, on my way to Texas. My feelings were really emotional because I was living my hometown, the city that I grow up and never left for too long, on other hand, I was really excited because I was doing what it was right for me. I had a scholarship to play baseball and study for free.

It was on a breezy Friday morning in fifth grade, when I was skipping to Blackberry Creek Elementary School, in a fright about my reading and today our enormous homework assignment was being finished. I didn't feel very confident about it. I've met up with my friends along the way and they were in an excellent mood. As I was walking with a full backpack, my friends questioned me why I was so down. I didn't answer them when they questioned me.
Anyway, after we trekked through the cafeteria it was on to the gym. The gym was so cool because the basketball goals were still in tact, there were all kinds of things that littered the floor, including more chicken coops, but the floors were still in good condition as well. It was so weird to be around something like that because everything was still there as if it was still a functioning school. After we spent some time in the gym, we moved on out.
Until then, we keep telling each other not to lose heart. I get along pretty well with all my teachers. There are nine of them, seven men and two women. Mr. Keesing, the old fogey who teaches math, was mad at me for the longest time because I talked so much. After several warnings, he assigned me extra homework.
