Freshman in collage, born and raised in Hialeah, Florida. I have a Cuban background and speak the Spanish language. I currently live in Miami Gardens which is five minutes from St. Thomas University. As a kid I usually spent most of my time outside playing with friends and as I got older I began to love sports. In high school I was a dual student athlete involved in baseball and soccer.
Baseball is what many call “America’s Pastime”. It is the game that never fails to bring me from the highest highs to the lowest lows. The second that you think you are the best, the game will humble you. When you are at a loss for confidence, you will do something amazing that will turn your game around. Nothing beats the smell of the spring air, the dirty pants, the laughs with teammates and the glory of winning.
“Find your passion and make it happen” - Irene Cara “This one is an easy strikeout bud!” my dad would say. “Ball four! Batter take your walk” the umpire called out.
Now that I am in college baseball was a fun sport to play in high school. Why did I say yes? Why did I volunteer my time? Why did I commit? Yes, I love it...
INTRODUCTION- “The Spark” I like being an athlete. Playing football and baseball are two things I enjoy very much. As next year is my senior year, it will most likely be my last year playing contact football and baseball. The sad part is that I am moving to Louisiana for my senior year. Those boys in Louisiana are huge...
The Los Angeles Dodgers is a baseball team in California and in this essay you are going to learn more about a team you like or don't . So the Dodgers are my favorite baseball team I have liked them since I was small and my dad and tios taught me how to play it. The Dodgers have won six championships since the team has been invented. It was always interesting for me I played it a lot.
During my junior year of highschool I was in the wrestling team. I joined my sophomore year to be with my friends. During that season I wanted to quit because the sport was stuff. It took me awhile to realize that wrestling is a independent sport. You would have to push yourself and sacrifice a lot for the sport.
Perfection is unattainable, but every team strives for it. My Junior year, so far, has been a perfect season for color guard. By no means are my teammates and I perfect at our sport, however, we strive for something unattainable: perfection. The amount of work that we put into this sport is much higher than most sports teams put into their games.
Sports always were a big part of my like. I always tried to play different sports, back in Armenia. I tried soccer, basketball, handball and walleyball, but I never played the American Football. We call it American football, because in Armenia and many other countries the word “football” means soccer. American Football is something typical mostly to the United States, in the past I did not even see the ball.
I stepped onto the field in awe. It was just like every other year I had played, except this year things started to get competitive. I was ecstatic. The night before I had called my dad to tell him all about soccer and and all of my game dates so he could attend them. He said that he probably wouldn 't be able to make it and for me not to count on it.
