I’m positive that after the “cuteness factor” of me singing it wore off my family hated the song from me playing it over and over again. This One’s for the Girls- Martina McBride This song came out when I was six years old. It is very significant to me because when I hear it I remember singing happily in the car with my mom being joyous, and having no major troubles or stresses in life. It also reminds me of the first concert I attended. My family went to the state fair just to hear Martina McBride in concert.
Getting Their Band Name Continuously changing names, the band could never agree on a band name that fit well. Nirvana means a state of joy or a world of tranquility and delight, Cobain and the band decided to use that as a name for one of their shows (Burlingame, 2006). Constantly changing the band name for a couple months, now “Nirvana” recently used the name in a song fourteen times and decided to keep it (Burlingame, 2006). Taking a long while for the band to come up with a catchy name, they truly believed they had found the best name. The band coming
Amy has always been encompassed in music, surrounded by uncles on her mother’s side that were jazz musicians, her father, a former singer, and her grandmother was once in a relationship with Ronnie Scott, a jazz musician. By the time Winehouse was 12, she was enrolled in the esteemed Sylvia Young Theatre School, where a fellow classmate passed along a tape of her singing to his music label, which eventually led to Winehouse getting signed to Island/Universal. That same year, “Winehouse was expelled for ‘not applying herself’ and piercing her nose”(Biography.com 1). Winehouse’s professional career began when she released her first album, “Frank”, in 2003. For this, “the album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize as well as two BRIT awards for Best Female Solo Artist and Best Urban Act.
Throughout my years in the band, I have been offered to try out for multiple honors bands, but I never seized the opportunity of these bands. Honor bands are meant to be composed of the best musicians from a certain region within one band. My mulligan would have to be the fact that I never actually took up on any of the offers until this year, and I think is caused by the slogan that I have always held highly in my mind: if I don’t try then I can’t fail. Despite knowing that this phrase was incredibly horrendous, I still continued to tell myself the phrase to prevent rejection of anything I may have tried. This year I’ve finally decided to attempt to do some of the things that I never thought I could do.
It was the first time a performing in parade, going to Louisiana, and visiting Southern University. I thought I was going to have so much fun and being away from my parents for a whole weekend was also a plus. Due to the sleeping arrangements at the hotel there were two band members per room. Cameron and I were chosen to room together, and I was not thrilled about it at all. I remember thinking, “Really, him out of all people; out all people, I get the weird boy.” Everyone in band was making joke about me stuck with Cameron.
As the lights dimmed and the cast took the stage to sing their opening number, the first thing to catch my eye was the costumes of the cast. Having never heard of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, I wasn’t aware of what type of musical it would be. The moment I saw the cast in their rock star themed costumes, I knew it was
It was an extreme work but i realize it was worth it because i just wanted a phone so bad. So, I have been cleaning my butt off, since the past two months. One day, my parents told me, “Here’s hundred dollars, you have been working so much and we are proud of you”. I thought they were going to tell mem, let's go to the store but I thought wrong. I thought to myself, I had to earn money, in order to buy a iPhone, but I told my parents thanks for the money.
Half the time I love playing my alto saxophone, but the other half I just want to throw it at a wall. Why, you ask? This feelings only comes around when there is a new honor band or it’s chair placement time. My failure is never challenging myself enough in band in order to get better. Concert band has been a long rode for me throughout the seven years I’ve been involved in it.
It is the middle of July and we are on our vacation to Benidorm to see are cousin as we see them every year. The weather is baking, blazing and boiling but we are still going to enjoy ourselves and are getting ready to sunbath and hope to end up having a marvellous tan so when we get back home we can show it off to are best mates. I imagined a camping site in the mirage but I through I will just imaging it until my sister saw the same thing as me. I overheard the sea waves hit the rock like a hands of the sea pounding on the seashore. The waves crashed like thunder.
Before I get into the get experience of seeing my favorite artist and having fun with friends it begins with drama, ticket drama. My friends and I were thinking about going to the iHeart radio Daytime Village Music Festival and I had an extra ticket. We found someone that would go with us and it happened to be Jake. So I was happy and ready for the festival so I sent his ticket to him expecting him to print it out the night before, but no he is a guy and didn’t think he needed to. The Morning of the festival I got a text from Mary saying, “hey we are about you leave you probably should too.” After getting this message I was ready and drove down to the strip.

I took a lot of things away from this course, and made a lot of memories. At the end of the course we had to perform in two concerts at a local church. A couple weeks in advance we would go to the church during chorus class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I really enjoyed taking the bus and getting to leave the school for about a hour. The first day we went to the church I was kind of emotional because my family and I just held my grandmother 's funeral service there about a week before.
‘’Boom’’ went the car door and we were off to Florida. My mom and I were going to Florida for a cheer competition. Since Florida is about six hours away from Georgia, we left around 1pm. We wanted to meet up with my fellow teammates at the hotel before the others showed up. After we finished our cheer competition, this is where the real adventure began!
