I began my career as a registered nurse with now 7 years experience. I have worked 3 different nursing jobs while gaining valuable knowledge from each one. Essentially, I have discovered that some of the best nurses are educators. Yes, nurses are primarily caregivers, but they also have an important secondary role in providing education for patients, the community, and each other. I am eager to become involved in the earliest stages of my students’ journeys to becoming employees in the healthcare sector. As one of their first teachers in the general subject matter of health science technology, I feel as though I have the potential to make a positive difference in the vast field of health care.
