About me: I am a go-getter. I push myself to the limit in everything I do, be it sports, academics, or life in general. Every year of high school I have taken the hardest schedule possible, only honors or AP classes, and I have done well. My cumulative weighted GPA has remained above a 4.0 every year due to my strength of schedule and my dedication to excellence. While taking all of these difficult classes, I have played several sports including Baseball, Basketball, and Volleyball, as well as participating in DECA and Academic Team. While most students usually take a break from their most difficult classes their senior year, I elected to take three AP classes in addition to Honors Physics and aiding in the Writing Center. As a student, I strive for excellence. In middle school, I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society at Strong Foundations Charter School. As a sophomore, I have taken two math classes and gone without a study hall to be able to fulfill my academic desires. I have also taken Honors level classes since my first semester of high school and continuously make the honor roll. I aim to continue to take honors and AP classes to be able to reach my full potential as a student.
Many students find that a difficult course load and after school activities are difficult to balance. However, student athletes perform the amazing task of combining the two. This feat involves staying up late to finish assignments after already completing a hard workout. I believe that I should receive the David Logan Scholarship because I am a competitor in the classroom and on the field.
Routine A disturbance in a Tuesday morning routine was a change of a lifetime: my brief car-ride nap was interrupted by a crash, then, the jarring of the ambulance. It was an unexpected awakening. Sixth grade social studies and spelling tests had to be put aside, as the rest of my day would be filled with the beeps of machines and chatter of scrub-clad trauma nurses. Suddenly, my mind was back in my body - and my first conscious words were my complaints of the uncomfortable neck brace, followed by my request to remove it.
“Four AP classes is a lot,” my parents warned, reading the list of courses I would take in the fall. “Are you sure you can manage that?" I felt fearless. “Of course,” I assured them. “I can handle it!”
Before entering this class I thought I was a well written writer, although as I continued to come to class and work on assignments I then had realized I could use alittle improving. Writing seems to come very naturally for me because I write all the time. I tend to write poetry to express what i 'm feeling at times, it is how I ventilate what it is that I am feeling. So when thinking about topics it is not very difficult for me due to the fact that most of the time I know exactly what it is I would like to write about. Taking this class has showed me how to be a more effective writer and a more effective researcher.
I never really enjoyed writing but I started coping with it when I entered high school. Before entering high school, it would be rare for me to get an essay in middle school. During my junior year that all changed. I started getting essays from left to right, it felt like a ferris wheel, a never ending cycle. During those times I started realizing what i needed to work on to get better grades.
At any moment, I could have a tumor appear in my body. Currently, I have neurofibromas on my left femur and tibia; the doctors are watching those tumors closely. I have NF, a watch-and-see disease, a genetic disorder of the nervous system which causes tumors (neurofibromas) to form on the nerves anywhere in the body. Throughout my life, I have faced many obstacles as a result of my neurofibromatosis. With each obstacle, I have found a way to overcome.
Looking back I stared at my blank paper struggling to grasp the concept of a lesson. I knew well enough I needed to speak up sooner or later in school. Once I entered a whole new school I had to change. It was an easy ride the whole way until now. Breezing through class has always been in my mindset.
I never even got to say goodbye. When my dad left it was the hardest it's ever been for my family and I, and we were never quite the same. After a while I began to fill into my father's shoes. “Aaron, one day you’re going to have to raise a family of your own. You’re a man, you’re going to have to be the provider for the family.”

In the spring of 2014 the tenth grade class of Small-Town Rose Valley, Saskatchewan was presented with the opportunity to travel to Hamilton, Ontario - something few of us had ever had the chance of doing. Getting accepted into The Society for Educational Visits and Exchanges in Canada, SEVEC for short, meant that we would be participating in a student exchange program and jaunting to visit and experience the lives of people in Hamilton, and that people from Hamilton would get to do the same in Saskatchewan. Our first day in Hamilton was overwhelming regarding the size of the city, however it was a lot of fun. We travelled to see Niagara Falls, which is arguably one of the top tourist attractions in Canada. Dubbed “The Honeymoon Capital of the World”, I can see how a place like The Falls would be a popular place to visit for newlyweds considering the beauty and prosperity of the place.
Narrative Essay Coming as a seventeen years old tenneager from Colombia. It was very difficult to adapt to the English language. It was difficult until I met the most influential teacher Mr. Fisher. This teacher made it very easy for me to develop my literacy.
Jim was a happy child. He was 12 years old and had an amazing family. Everything in his life was perfect, that is, before the accident.
