The best description I can give myself is that I am a hard-working loyal person and after facing adversity in my childhood, I can say that I have contributed a lot to the College of Charleston and given back to my community. As a Resident Assistant I experienced many different relationships and situations. It enhanced my confidence and people skills and it led to me winning RA of the semester. I have involvement volunteering in the community and my with the M.O.V.E program which helps better diversify the school. My weakness is I have trouble enforcing my idea in a
Finally, I believe that I can make a positive contribution to the Honors College program. I hold myself to high academic standards and am committed to working hard to achieve my goals. I enjoy collaborating with fellow students and professors and approach challenges with a positive attitude and drive to succeed. I am confident that my passion for learning and strong work ethic will inspire and motivate my peers to push themselves to achieve their full
At my physician office, the staff always dress and act professionally. I have been going to my physician since I was 6, I have even job shadowed my physician. I do not recall a time my physician or his staff has ever been unprofessional. They are always dressed in scrubs or business casual. As a medical assistant, you can ensure your professional appearance by a few steps: always wear scrubs
Hi Matt, this is Logan Sanders. After completing the preliminary Residential Assistant training I was not placed in a position. However, I was told by Shannon Jolley that "you are the very first person on our alternates’ list and will likely be awarded a position, even in the next few weeks". I received this email in early March, and understand that it I was not guaranteed a position. Regardless, I wanted to make contact to say that I am still interested in taking a position if one becomes available.
Today’s lecture on the physician assistants (PA) was very informative. Mrs. Hughes spoke on what a physician assistant is, what they do as well as what the requirements are for those who chose the career path. PA’s are individuals whom practice medicine while also being under the supervision of medical doctors or physicians. They can work in all areas of medicine including emergency medicine, surgery and psychiatry which Mrs. Hughes works under. Within this occupation individuals have the ability to prescribe medicine, diagnose and treat mental illnesses, give immunizations as well as perform various other tasks.

The following,is an article written by Jerry Brindley when she was a Senior Aide in Decatur: Becoming a Senior Aide was a big step in my life as far as taking care of the elderly and seeing to their needs. I have had years of experience from my parents-in-law and our neighbors. But to actually go into a home and help someone I have never known was and is totally different.
I believe being a Resident Assistant will provide an opportunity for me to develop solid leadership skills. One of many reasons being an RA stood out to me is the involvement I will have with students, I love getting to know new people therefore I believe an RA position will be an opportunity to develop profound relationship.
Since I first came to college I’ve had the opportunity to discover myself and who I am as a person, and here is what I can tell you. I’m a modest consistently hard working individual who continues to set goals for herself. I take responsible for my actions when things go wrong rather than look for others to blame. I am a person who is committed to constructing something larger for the benefit of others rather than personal gain. I am a person who believes in teamwork and open communication.
When I call my doctor office, I expect the person that is answering the phone to listen to me, and anything I need. I expect them to answer my questions, and if they don 't have the answer, to ask someone around them, or find the answer and give me a call back depending on the wait time. I expect them to be flexible with my schedule, and try to help me find an appointment (if need be) that will fit me, and the doctors office the best. When I become a medical assistant, and I have to potentially operate the front desk, I will use this knowledge to help my patients schedule appointments. I know that when I call the doctors office, and I 'm sick and I just want to schedule an appointment quickly, I want the receptionist to help me as best
Holding an RHA position requires a plethora of skills in leadership, personal balance, academic balance, professional balance, and communication. Currently I am seeking a future in the Resident Assistant (RA) positon which will allow me to learn and utilize these skills when providing conflict resolution and creating relationships within my hall. In order to get a better understanding of many different aspects that go into being an RA, I interviewed a current RA named Bayleigh____ and asked her about the several different factors that relate to her personal life and the job itself. She explained her position and how it directly affected her life as a student as well as the personal challenges she faced regularly. The interview provided me with
All the work I have ever done was almost entirely with medically underserved, economically and educationally disadvantaged populations. I have worked as a Home Health Aide in DC for about 5 years with several patients suffering from varied conditions. They were dependent on the government for housing, food, medical and cash assistance.
Resident Assistant, Mari Odake and Sara Earnheart were doing a health and safety check and saw a fridge in the living room that might be bigger than the one they can have it in the apartment. Also, they noticed the fire detectors in the whole apartment was taken off and hidden. RA Odake asked Marcus Lyons where the fire detectors are and he said that they did not come with the apartment. RA Odake asked Lyons the same question but Lyons said the same answer. However, when Odake was asking the qeustion Odake heard the beep of fire detector from Lyons '
Making a difference I started my health care career as a nursing assistant at the young age of 16 years-old perusing the dream of one day becoming a nurse. At that time, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into and what it meant to be in the health care. I have been able to touch and impact so many different people’s lives throughout the last 6 years from patients and residents to their family members. Sometimes not even realizing that I was changing someone’s life. Although I’ve helped hundreds of people there is one person that will I will always remember.
While in our room, my roommate and I expect everyone to act like adults and have fun, we don’t want to get in any trouble with our Resident Assistant. I expect everyone to be serious and professional when we have study sessions or just trying to do homework. There isn 't a specific behavior to have when we are just hanging out, but the majority of the time everyone is always having fun and laughing. During the weekend the behavior changes and a lot of the people party hard and have so much fun during the weekend, while others study and focus on the school work we all hang out together but have different beliefs. I prefer to stay in on weekends, I like to hang out in my room and relax before classes start back the next week.
The Receptionist I was hired by a company in Boulder, Colorado. In spite of the fact that I managed five departments, the company (or my management), chose not to give me any administrative support. I was a corporate level manager with five departments reporting to me, yet I had no administrative support whatsoever! I became very friendly with the receptionist.
