It has influenced me to use some of the activities, stories, and projects that we did during this course. This course taught us a lot of helpful classroom projects that will have the students reading but also learning a lesson with most of the stories. This has influenced me to be on top of my grading, to manage my time when in the classroom, and to involve the students as much as I can. I plan on implementing all of the books that we did a log over because they are all fun and of the age of students I want to teach. I enjoyed the books that we read now and when I was younger so I feel they will be great to share with my students some day.
In order to provide services to students or members of the community, it is necessary to have good character. Leadership is one of the most important traits to have, not only in school, but community too. In school I take up the leadership role by helping my classmates and answering their questions about a topic in class. I am a Senior High Student Council member; I have been an active member since my freshman year. I have helped plan and participate in events put on by the council to ensure things run smoothly.
I would love to share my experience with others to help ease their transition into college life. An Honors Ambassador should excel in a few skills such as: clear communication skills and being able to connect and relate to a variety of potential students and their parents. They should hold good student values by attending every class, staying involved, or going that extra mile to express the best of their abilities. My communication skills have substantially improved since I started working as a front desk receptionist at McCorkle Sales in Claxton as a high school senior. For example, I must be able to maintain a friendly personality to every incoming customer and
Throughout the speech the rhetorical devices that were most present were ethos, parallel structure, and hypophora. The author begins the essay by using ethos. She notes that majority of the students for whom the speech is for are current and past student of hers. Giving her credibility to address them since she once taught them. Another example of ethos is found closer to the end of the speech in which she reminisces on meeting some of the students as freshman and they joy she has at being able to have watch them grow over the course of their high school years with caressing works such as”, and I must say that it is truly a joy to watch and experience you become powerful forces of nature right before our eyes.
Also, attending to all my composition classes will help me be successful because I will have the opportunity to check the papers of my colleagues and vice versa. Checking the papers of my colleagues can help me find new writing styles and expand my writing skills; when my colleagues grade my papers, they will help me identify my weak spots in my writing. Another way to improve in my class is by attending to my professor’s office hours. All students need to take advantage of office hours if the professors have any. Attending to these office hours will help you get to know the professor a lot more.
Having a social life definitely made school more enjoyable and fun outside of school. High School can be a fun time with your friends, but keeping up with all of your assignments is crucial. You have to be able to study and complete your assignments while balancing a job or a social life. What I do personally is planning out a few hours a day that is contributed to finishing all of my homework. You’re going to school for academics so it is very important that you are keeping up with school work.
“Having homework helps us do better in class” (13). Homework club helps the kids finish the work they got at school. He interviewed the kids and asked them how they felt to get all this information. Longer school days will help Anaheim High School students actually do their work because of all the help they will be getting.
English 095 made me realize that I enjoy English, and I want to maybe teach English someday. I enjoyed learning everything that my teacher taught me in English 095. We reviewed grammar during the first couple weeks of class. Honestly,
The clubs provide many opportunities including meeting new students, learn from others, and exploring things. I become a better communicator through presentations, speeches, and conversations in these experiences. The clubs help me to learn how to manage my time and to be connected to students and even the world. In addition, during my senior year, the International Club elected me as their President. As President, I became more adept at thinking, helping, and working which helped grow my leadership skills.
Upon reaching the end of the 3rd quarter of my senior year, I have recognized my strengths to be my adept ability to pay attention in the classroom, working well in groups and producing work to the best of my ability. Paying attention in a classroom environment is necessary to understand the assignment at hand, working well in groups as community contributors will help in future situations and I have always found it to be essential to produce work of great quality because it represents the pride I have in my work. However, my areas of improvement include staying on top of assignments because my last high school tennis team season has started and I will have to work harder to make sure I get my assignments done on time. With my attendance at stake, I will need to eradicate procrastination and avoid missing any
Throughout my past four years at Weddington High School, I am inspired by the impact my teachers have given me. I believe education is the greatest gift you can give to a person who is striving to make a difference. This is something that I have been interested in for several years. I am currently a teacher assistant for Mrs. Donna Nunn’s Microsoft Word and PowerPoint class that allows me to see how lesson plans are carried out in a classroom environment and I know that this experience has given me a stronger desire to become a teacher. During my freshman year of high school, Ms. Marisa DiFronzo made literature become a very engaging subject for me, not only by her way of teaching but also her ability to bring the class together as one.
She strives to implement various methods for the teaching and learning of all students. The pillar of scholarship has taught me to appreciate the people in these groups as they guided me towards my academic goals. Sharing their advice, they have taught me to take pride in my work and my dedication to getting things done. I not only learned to keep my grades high, but I enjoyed the work and kept enriching my knowledge. Attending the National Honor Society and other groups allow me to set priorities, a skill that gives me the ability to manage my time. Managing my time is what helped me maintain my high GPA, as it was always my top
Should WTRFG Be Taught In 7th Grade I am Brody Hilsendeger. I really enjoyed to book a lot so today I will be explain why the book Were The Red Fern Grows should be taught to 7th graders every year. First of all this book provides a very big vocabulary to learn. It never ever hurts to know what more words mean. When reading the book our class did many pages of vocabulary words that were somewhat fun to learn.
Unit 1 Activity 3: Throughout this course, I have been able to develop a wide variety of many different skills, from when I first attended St Louis I had a reasonable understanding of my reading and speaking skills, after reviewing the listening and speaking content and completing the assignments it has helped me improve so much not only in school but in my everyday life since the first day I attended St. Louis improving my skills and helping me to Avoid distractions, listening for the main idea and supporting details, Asking questions, and Visualizing.
