My parents were so proud of me and that is enough for me. I don 't mind whatever people say to me. Their opinion did not bother me. My intercom beep and I pressed the loud speaker button. "Ms. Wallace, meeting will start in five minutes." Bella 's voice echoed to the silent room. "Thanks Bella, I 'll be out in a bit." I answered and hanged up. I fixed my suit and gathered my laptop and documents. The meeting is all about the three way telecom units to be shifted in Taiwan and Singapore next week. The meeting lasted until seven. I have no time to change my clothes. I have no choice but to attend the opening party with my corporate attire. I turned off my computer and gathered all my personal things and headed out of my office to my car. I checked my phone with lots of message from Kevin saying I 'm late. Shit! I drove so fast, the restaurant is half an hour away from my office. • • • I arrived at the venue thankfully still alive from the way I drove. It 's been a long time since I last drove like that. Old memories. I smiled and fixed myself and reapplied my make up. I spray a little perfume before exiting the car. I glanced at the newly opened restaurant and I admit, the style is very New Yorker style. It has an aura that gives you a feeling of coming home and expecting a very delicious home cooked dishes.
