One of the best days of my life was when we went deer hunting in South Dakota with my dad, brother, uncle and two cousins, but before I tell you about my trip let me tell you how it started. We left early in the morning to head to South Dakota where my cousin Jacob, who had just got a job as Game warden in Custer State Park, was taking us deer hunting. We got as far as Fargo, North Dakota when my cousin Keith asked my dad where our license were. Then to our surprise we forgot them back at home. We were lucky enough to have my two aunts and mom bring us the license because they were going to Fargo that day anyways for a girls shopping day.
One of the most rememberable things in my life with nature is I killed my first deer. Early in the morning me and my dad got ready to go and we headed out in the woods. I was so tired. But when we got there me and my dad went through the trails. The grass was tall and bright green. My dad set some corn out to lurer the deer in with.
Some people think spending a day in the woods is relaxing and peaceful. I used to think that as well, until I went turkey hunting. Spending a day in the woods hunting with my brothers was frustrating, hard, and aggravating all at the same time because of the mistakes I made. It was a life changing experience. Hunting will get your blood pumping and your heart racing you’ll end up wanting to go turkey hunting more than you ever thought you would.
Then, I had a bead on him, he was the big eight point walking from the upper trail down to the lower one. This is exactly how I had hoped for in a good deer hunt, I draw back, and I aim just behind his right shoulder. I fling the arrow into the air; it cuts right into the spot I had aimed for on the big buck. The arrow went right through the big buck’s side; he took off running at a dead sprint through the rugged brush in the woods. Excitement was building as a tracked the huge buck, at one point I thought I lost him.

He passed away two years ago due to skin cancer. Duck hunting has helped me with my father’s passing because it lets me take my mind off things and I am able to lose all track of time, just sitting and listening to the many stories. I keep my Dad in my thoughts while ducking hunting and always look up thank him when I have a good shoot. When things began going downhill with my father, my uncle became a source of strength. I knew I could lean on him and that he would always have my back.
Hunting I remember the first time I went hunting with my family we were hunting deer we shot one and went and stood by it then we heard a noise behind us we looked behind us and the deer was running away so we went and chased it down and finally got it three miles away one of the greatest memories I have had and glad I got to share it with my family. So if you are going to go hunting then you should first you should go to a store that sells a gun then buy some ammo for whatever gun you bought next buy some bright orange then you need to go to a hunter safety course and once you pass then you may then get your hunting license once you find what you are going to go hunting for you should get someone like friends or family to go with you then you need to call people that you know have hunting ground so that you have a lot of options to go hunting on.
Many rifles can fire out to one thousand yards or more. A missed shot can be tragic if there is a neighborhood just a few hundred yards beyond the trees that you can not see. “Guys, this place is revolting”, I complained to my cousins as we strode into the “Little Bear Gun Shop”. It was my first summer with my cousins in their new home in Oregon and a leisure activity we had since we were in elementary school was going outside in the forests of Illinois and shooting ourselves with Airsoft guns, toy guns that fired small plastic pellets. Despite the new state the tradition needed to live on. The Little Bear Gun Shop’s name definitely wasn’t false advertising since there were enough guns in that place to fully arm a small town, and in the town of Tillamook, this was probably the case. If you weren’t satisfied with your pristine automatic rifle, the little bear had you covered.
I am a mid 20’s man that lives in the country. I love to duck hunt; If there was anything that I could do all day everyday it would be duck hunting. When I was a young boy I started to duck hunt and it just stayed with me after that and now that is my life and I love to duck hunt with a passion. To me there isn’t anything better to do than duck hunt. If I could have a job duck hunting I would do it in a heartbeat.
I like bowhunting the most because I think there is more thrill and excitement in bowhunting than any type of hunting. The most recent deer I shot with my bow was probably the most thrilling hunt I’ve ever had. It all started when I was just sitting in my deer stand, waiting for an opportunity to come to shoot a deer. All of the sudden I hear something cracking twigs and leaves behind me. I turned around, and it was a deer!
Known as “the father of bowhunting”, he played a large role of rising the popularity in bow hunting. Fred Bear died on April 27, 1988. He was 86 years old when he died. His museum that was in Grayling, Michigan now in Gainesville Florida, has the most privately held collection of archery artifacts in the world. Growing up he actually shot rifles before he was interested in bow hunting.
It takes around two hours to get there and it is a very small town. When we get to the other side of town, there is a long gravel that we drive down. If we are driving and we see a deer on the way down the road, that means that we will have good luck when we go out to hunt. When we get to the end of the road there is a circular clearing with four trailers parked in it and a fire pit. Once we unload, my cousin, Emma, and my friend Luke get on our four wheelers and explore the one hundred acres we have.
John lives with his grandparents after his parents passed during a plane crash.John lives on his grandparents farm, it is described as a very welcoming environment with colors like orange, brown, red-orange, etc.. Hopefully they 'll make it, but all Jamie knew for sure he will give that buck one more chance. The safety clicked and frightened the gorgeous deer. The young deer disappear into the prickly underbrush. Jamie lets out a heavy breath and shuffles towards the house. The warm yellow light guides him home as the wind bites through his coat.
