As a nurse I will have to be around many patients and will be open to different scenarios that I will not be used to. This is a great head start to get a feel for the type of environment I will be exposed to. I hope to learn more about the medical field and some tips I could
I started off by believing I will be an educator and that is it. I was wrong. I need to work hard to make my students’ futures better in an academic aspect and in a functional aspect. I want to create a class in high school where it educates students on basic job skills. I want to create a class in high school that helps students get ready for college and help them apply for different post-secondary education.
As graduation gets closer, I start to think more about my future. The results from one of my assessments on Nebraska Career Connections opened a new door into the health science field. I discovered the career of a nurse anesthetist, and am ready to pursue this option. A nurse anesthetist communicates with a patient before surgery and records any medical history or symptoms they have. Anesthetists also observe the patients and perform physical exams.
When I grow up as a child, I was setting goals for a future and what to do in life. I choose to pursue Physical therapist assistant which it is a reason why I want to help people, be more responsible, give good attitude to the patients. Next 5 years I will be working in different states at hospital or clinic. I may change to undecided major whether if I want to pursue different major. According to Occupational outlook handbook” Physical therapist assistant observe the patients before, during and after therapy; making notes patient’s status and report it to a physical therapist.’’.
Personal Nursing Philosophy During my childhood years, the human body always intrigued me. My mother raised me with stories of how she dreamed of becoming a nurse herself, and soon after I sought out to fulfill her dream as well as my own with my higher-level education and opportunities that she did not herself possess. “So, what are nurses?” Nurses aren’t only trained to care for the sick, they are also educated personal whose objective is to fulfill patient needs by performing ongoing assessments and advocating for their safety.
I want to become a nurse to provide support, reassurance, and top quality care for people from all ages and backgrounds. I believe that a BSc in Adult Nursing will allow me to develop my existing skills and experience. I am currently studying Access to HE Diploma in Health and Human Science. Taking
Introduction In this Journal of experiential learning paper I will lead you through my learning outcomes starting with the 2 most engaging and least engaging concepts including professional organizations, the history of nursing, nursing theories and values, ethics, and nursing practice, the two concepts I believe are the most important in my nursing career including Values, ethics, and nursing practice, and human relationships and how they will impact my future as a nurse, I will also explain two learning outcomes in the course and how I’ve developed the skills to be successful in those outcomes. Levels of engagement During the semester I found that two specific subjects really jumped out at me, one being the professional organizations. When
I had always dreamed of becoming a teacher since I was a little girl, at this moment my dreams were different. Going through this experience with the knowledge I had previously gained, changed my thoughts about my future career. I was now inspired to be a nurse, a nurse practitioner to be exact. I see how my courage to handle this maturely and confidently helped my father feel comfortable with me assisting him. I had never been placed in this situation of having to actually put forth my skills, but thankfully for this experience, I came to realization of what my future profession was truly supposed to be.
Joining a professional association for nurses is one of my short-term goals. In this association, I aim to identify mentors to spearhead my learning patterns. Similarly, I frequently attend specialty conferences besides getting involved in different exchange programs that improve my communication skills. On the other hand, one of my priorities in forming my long-term goal is to advance in educational career. Climbing up the ladder to achieve a master degree in nursing will be the first commendable achievement.
These strategies include, career assessment, resume building, interview preparation, career networking tips, job-search support, and 24/7 online access to job openings and career development tools. As a hopeful future undergraduate at IUPUI, I am eager to participate in the nursing program. Currently I am taking a class at my high school that will allow me to become a certified nursing assistant if I pass the state exam. Although I have only started this school year, I can tell that I have found my passion through nursing. With this simple goal, I plan to focus on my school work and dedicate my time at IUPUI. Besides the school aspect, I also want to participate in numerous extracurricular activities offered.
The reason why I chose to go to school for Nursing is because of my mother, Charlotte Anthony. My mother is paralyzed from waist down. I have been helping her since I was nine years old. I have helped her bathe, get dressed, and get in and out of the bed. My experience with her has taught me a lot.
I am also interested in EVMS, because your Care Forward Curriculum mirrors objectives of my past degree programs: .preparation and compassion. As a DNIMAS scholar at Norfolk State, I was trained to learn at an advanced rate and seek resources, so that I could make the most informed decisions pertaining to my curriculum and career. Research, internships and weekly class conversations with graduate and professional schools were requirements of the program that prepared my class for the expectations of our career fields. EVMS continues to emphasize that concept and teaches in patterns that smoothly transition the student into the physician. The CFC also reinforces my personal objective of cost conscious care.
