According to the data collected compared to the standards set on www.exrx.net my average health is poor to average. My Muscular Endurance is average at 24 Curl Ups, frankly, this was disappointing knowing in high school I was able to do 80 Curl Ups during testing. During the Cardiovascular Endurance test in 12 minutes, I ran/walked 1500 meters. Which was a score of 0 and a poor rating, this is not surprising as I have asthma, and this year pulled multiple muscles during track and was unable to work out for months causing me to lose my endurance. In Flexibility, I had an excellent rating and was well over the population average with my score of 25. I did dance up until my senior year of high school which explains my flexibility. During high school, I helped teach my women 's weightlifting class so under Muscular Strength I was surprised to have a poor rating with 21 pushups. I would like to point out I did ‘men’ pushups with my knees off the ground, so I wish there was a way to somehow convert ‘men’ pushups in the exrx to ‘female’ pushups. Finally, my BMI was 24.2 which falls under the Healthy Classification, I am not surprised as I am very fit for my age especially as I was a varsity athlete in high school. …show more content…

First was the Manual Muscle Testing on both the right and left arms. As expected for her left side, most of her muscles scored in the poor range, however, her right side she had difficulty in her pectoralis muscles extending her arm upward and outward. Finally, the grip and pinch strength test showed that her left hand has no strength in it, but her right hand scored

Your fitness in an example to everyone in your work center and I would recommend you seek that opportunity to become the primary Unit Fitness Program Monitor (UFPM) in the Squadron. In accordance with (IAW) Air Force Instruction (AFI) AFI10-248, a UFPM is responsible for oversight and administration of the unit’s fitness program. Your responsibilities would include, scheduling Squadron members for their fitness assessments, administering the fitness questionnaire, and when applicable, entering Squadron member fitness exemptions into the base fitness management system. Also, per our Squadron Commanders fitness policy, as the UFPM you would be responsible for assisting Airmen who score lower that a 79% on their fitness assessment and are enrolled in the Commanders “FIT” program with personal workout routines at least three times a week.
It was July 4, 2016, when the thought of losing weight and having a toned body was a way of the past. Barbell Republic Strength and Conditioning opened their doors offering an array of cardio, strength training, and weightlifting workouts. I have always been competitive from junior high into high school (I wanted to be first) and participating in Cross Fit it has fulfilled my desire to compete. On the 8th of April, 2017, my friend Stephanie and I competed in a local charitable Cross Fit challenge in Las Vegas. The event was a day full of competition, food, supplements, clothing lines and most importantly giving back.

With that being said, four additional factorial ANOVA’s were performed examining the relationship between target race and the estimations of weight and height for both Thomas and Timothy. The increase in drills a multi-sport athlete adds to their training regimen increases the chances that an injury is likely to occur due to the constant use of various bones, muscles, and tendons. Joel Brenner in his article Overuse Injuries, Over-training, and Burnout in Child and Adolescent Athletes stated, “The growing bones of the young athlete cannot handle as much stress as the mature bones of adults.” With many sports including football, swimming, lacrosse, baseball, and various other sports that constantly use the arms and upper body it is extremely important that you pay attention and to the best of your ability replicate proper technique. Sophomore year I was playing at a soccer tournament with my old team. I was playing a great game even though the score was not reflecting my hard work. Towards the end of the game I jumped up caught the ball landed, my body went one way and my legs went the other, then I fell to the ground. Everyone around me had heard a pop, I knew it was my ACL. From this moment in my soccer career I knew I needed to be determined and to be focused on my recovery in order to get back out there.
Step 5 Pass a physical exam that includes push-ups, sit-ups, and a step test. In your first fitness test you will need to complete 20 push-ups under 1 minute, 25 sit-ups under 1 minute, and 120 steps per minute for 5 minutes. A recent study conducted showed that over 15 percent of 200 elite British athletes tested met the criteria for being overtrained, and thus, felt the effects of a “burnout” (Reynolds 1). Fantastic Fitness is a place of “public accommodation” whose services are generally open to the public. Fantastic Fitness is demanding an exemption from the law because women have expressed a religious and private desire to exercise in a private room separate from men. Additionally, Fantastic Fitness has a policy of restricting special fitness equipment to men over the age of twenty-five so that “. . . no one is injured using the special equipment.” A three-tiered analysis will be applied to examine whether the law (1) is generally valid to businesses open to the public, (2) if the law is a legitimate use of Columbia County’s police powers, and (3) if Columbia County is obligated to exempt Fantastic Fitness from the law based on age, sex, privacy, and religious grounds.
My passion for track and field began with a Nike advertisement. At age ten, I opened the newspaper to a two-page spread of the hometown distance running legend Steve Prefontaine overlaid by a paragraph of inspirational copy. It concluded asking, “Where is the Next Pre?” The story of his small town Oregon roots, gutsy racing style, and ambition to be the best resonated with me like nothing ever had before. I told myself I was the next Pre, and then tore off for my first run through the streets of Eugene, Oregon – “Tracktown USA”.
As a student, I always find myself stressed about things like homework, tests, due dates, grades, rent, and all other sorts of college-related problems. When I start to feel overwhelmed by all of the noise of being a young college student, I turn to the one thing that gives me the greatest sense of purpose and inner piece; weightlifting. For me, a weightlifting session is a form of meditation, a time when I can be by myself and truly find inner peace. There is no better feeling to me when I enter a gym with a planned and detailed workout in mind. The feeling of anticipation and readiness to vent out my stress gives me the motivation to hit a workout hard.
Besides a coach an athletic trainer is the right hand man to an athlete. As an athletic trainer there are many tasks that keep us going. One is the athletes themselves and all of the requests they come in and demand. From recovering from an injury to preventing a life long injury from reoccurring trainers are always on the move. Prioritizing, viewing a wide variety of injuries, and differing work fields are just a few of the benefits that you get when you are a trainer.

This model should allow all individuals to be physically active through participation in sport and recreation. It is important to begin the learning process at a young age. Before an individual can become skilled in any activity, they must first acquire the fundamental skills. In soccer, developing the basic skills such as running, jumping, throwing, kicking, etc allows the child to utilise and incorporate them into practice and live games.
