Having only one soccer club in Bend to play competitively on and having a relatively small population put me playing with almost the exact same group of girls in the club as I grew up. This also left me knowing everyone who plays soccer and consequently when I got to high school soccer, I was still with the same girls. We had been playing with each other for 7 plus years and had become an incredibly close unit on and off the field. Some of my closest friends came from playing soccer. Soccer had helped me break out of my shell socially and provided an outlet for stress relief. My life revolved around soccer.
My career goals in life is either to play professional football (NFL), become a physical therapist, be a high school football coach, or take over my father’s business. Ever since I was a young child I loved watching football and playing it too it would mean the world to me if I went to play in the national football league (NFL). I love to run and try to stay fit my health is very important to me I like to discipline myself in everything I do athletically and also academically. I take pride in everything I do. I always enjoy overcoming a challenge that has stretched me to my limits. And if I could make it in to the national football league (NFL) I will have beaten one of my most difficult challenges. Being a physical therapist (PT) would also be very cool because I have always amazed by the body and how it works and I also like
I didn 't always know what career I wanted to go into. The first time I was in the position where I had to decide was in the eighth grade. For the yearbook, I had to give the name of the high school I planned to attend and what profession I chose to go into. The scraping of the lead against the paper made me feel tense. Everyone else had an idea of what they wanted to do in the future. When I was a junior in high school, I finally realized that I want to become a Speech Pathologist. This field of study is an extremely competitive one. My educational and professional career objectives include going to Kean University next fall, working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree, and ultimately becoming certified and licensed.
I 've played football my whole life. Even after 11 Years of the game it was shocking that I was not good. My whole life I always wanted to be the all star and the player everyone depended on. But, it just wasn 't me. Following my eighth grade year I was detrimmed to put all the years of failure behind me. Freshman year was going to be a new start. That whole summer I went to camps and every clinqne I could. My level of play was progressing and I was feeling more confident going into high school. My freshman year was here and it was time to fight for a starting spot. The good thing about playing sports at a small school is you have a much better chance of playing. After the whole preseason work I earned a varsity spot. All season the work I
If I have to choose a favorite sport it would have to be football. Football is physical hard-hitting contact sport that is full of excitement rooting for my home team the New York Jets. Back in 1997 is where I developed a full interest; watching and playing football at a young age. I have played fullback and linebacker both positions took a lot of hard work, conditioning, and practice to execute my performance on the field.
Being shoved to the ground and coming up with a mouthful of turf and a bloody nose isn’t the ideal way to spend a friday night, but for me, it's something I put blood, sweat, and tears into. Soccer has been a passion of mine since my father dropped me off at the local YMCA when I was at the tender age of four. Spending all of my free days for thirteen years running after a soccer ball is arguably what made me into the person I am today. Unity, tenacity, passion and pride have all been morals that are valued within the sport and in my own philosophy. I have explored places I’d never give a second thought to because my sport took me there. Friends I had made came from the sport I played. I never ended up asking for friends to come over because to me, practice was hanging out with my friends, doing an activity with a purpose.
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be an Occupational Therapist. I always want to do things to help others in any way I can. Personally I have witnessed what this occupation can do to change the lives of others. To reach my goal, I realize I must pursue a six year college education which will begin with the fall 2017 semester. I am very excited about my future and I feel as if your scholarship will help me reach my goal.
Ever since I was young I have always wanted to work in the medical field; however, I did not want to be wearing scrubs and working in an office everyday. As a freshman in high school the research papers started to begin. Most were to write about a topic that interests you, where as, others were to write about a future career. This was where my studies to be a Certified Athletic Trainer began. All of the research papers I was assigned I chose to do it on being an Athletic Trainer or a topic in the athletic training field. Teachers and parents always said to choose a profession that interests you and Athletic Training is a perfect medium for me. This is the perfect job for me because I want and love to help people and I want an active
As a freshman, and a coach 's son, I came onto the football team and took a starting spot from a junior, who had started in that spot all of last season. There were quite a few players that weren 't happy with the decision, but I felt as if I 'd earned the spot. I knew that the only way i would gain their approval was to stand out. All season I listened to, "He only starts because he is the coaches son" but I tried to block it all out. The junior, who 's spot I took, took all his anger out on me in practice, taking every cheap shot possible while people weren 't paying attention. When we got to the last three games of the season, we had the three toughest teams left on the schedule. The first of the three games was going to be a very
It was a hot July night. The softball game that had been scheduled, was cancelled because the other team was short 2 players. Right after the umpires called the game, the girls showed up. So, instead of completely wasting everyone's night, the coaches decided it would be a good idea to have a scrimmage. It would be good practice for everyone.
I have attended four different high schools in four years. I have always participated in sports throughout high school. Although after school activities have made a huge impact on my high school career, none have been more of an influence than football. I played football alongside numerous teammates and coaches, and was taught valuable life lessons for use on and off of the field.
School has been an extensive journey with many ups and downs. Hard work mixed with focus allows doors to be open up that were once closed. Education has allowed me to understand the importance of allowing information to help me perform better in the world today. School has always been a focus of mine because of the education it gives and the fun it has provided me throughout all of my stages.
At Carmel High school, Chandler Grey was the guy with it all, he was the star striker for the soccer team, he was dating the captain of the cheerleading squad, all the guys wanted to be just like him, but, he was flunking, If his grades stooped any lower he would be benched on the championship game, and no one would want that. Ryan had a big Algebra final coming up and if he didn’t pass he wouldn’t be able to play in the big championship game.
It is Friday, May 25, 2015, I, Aubrey, am inside getting ready for soccer practice. It was 5:30 and I had to leave very soon, my practice is at 5:45. So we got in the car and we pulled out of our driveway and left.
Have you ever played tackle football if not this is a story of how I decided to play! First I was about 8 years old when I started to play flag football. It was so fun I wished I was in the NFL. I played flag football for 1 year I think that was one of the most fun years in my life. I was a center (which is the guy that snaps the ball to the quarter back) I still caught the ball a few times. Then I started getting older so I wanted to join tackle football. Would you like to join football at this age?
