In my communications class I was asked to create a presentation that was called my story. As I thought about the assignment I thought critically about what I wanted to put in it and why I thought it deserved a spot in my story. Then I immediately thought about my childhood like where I went to preschool, elementary school and then my teen years like where I went to high school and what sports I played. One of the requirements for the presentation was to be narrating in the background for each slide. Pearson, Nelson, Titworth, and Hosek (2016) say the definition of narrating is “the oral presentation and interpretation of a story, a description, or an event; includes a dramatic reading of prose or poetry” (p.343). Northfield Center is where I went to school from preschool till high school and lived most my life. Then I talked about where I went to preschool and elementary school. I went to preschool at Lollypop, where I met my best friend Brandon Pearl who is still my best friend to this day. The elementary school I talked about is called St. Barnabas which was a major part of my life. I went to school there from kindergarten to 8th grade where I met all my friends and spent most my life. Later, I talked about my club soccer team that I played for multipole years. Soccer was a major part of my life and so was this team. I went to many tournaments in different states and spent a lot of time with the team any my coaches. The club team was called Ohio Premier. After I talked about my soccer team I talked about my high school. My high schools name is Nordonia high school. It is made up of three small cities. The three cities are Northfield, Macedonia and Sagmore hills Ohio. High school was a huge part of my life where I made so many friends and many memories. Throughout high school I played on the soccer team, ran track for the school and I was part of the skin squad my senior year as we cheered on the football team. Then later, I talked about how I took part in the prom fair show. I used operational definition to explain what exactly prom fair is. Pearson, Nelson, Titworth, and Hosek (2016) say the definition for operational definition is “defines by explaining a process” (p.343). I explained how at Prom Fair we modeled off tuxedos and dresses so we would get discounts for prom. Later in the year I went to prom with a girl named Rachel. Prom was an amazing part of my life where I made many amazing memories. The reason I talked about my high school in my story is because it was the best time of my life where I met

and I was getting ready to board the bus for a state football game against the Becker Bulldogs. The police escorted us to Saint Cloud State under a lot of care. I also went to Sageville Elementary School for six years. I met my best friend Savannah in Kindergarten, and we have been friends ever since. We were in the same class all the way up to fourth grade. Then in fifth grade, we were in different classes. My favorite teacher in elementary school was my fourth grade teacher Mr. Haller.
I missed a lot of school growing up because of my cancer treatments and surgeries, but I never fell behind, and I always had teachers that looked out for me. For high school, I went to J.M. Tate High School, and graduated with highest honors. I loved school from kindergarten all the way through
At the end of 5th grader we went to a tour at Incline Middle School. We were elated that we will be going to this school! We will be the new 6th graders. I felt so excited. We finally got there.

Then I went back to my first school I attended Malakoff elementry. My pass and last two years of emementry school was the best. Fourth grade comes and turned out to be a good year with the teachers I got and my friends I meet were awesome and good people.
I started elementary school at Hagan Elementary School in the district of Spackenkill. From third to fifth grade, I participated in a program called Odyssey of the Mind, where we developed creative problem solving skills. Odyssey of the Mind was probably my favorite experience of elementary school, because it was a space where I could be weird and free with people just as weird as me. I also made friends during this time period with whom I am still close with.
Authors choice writing styles based on one 's, personality, diction, tone, and point of view. “Departure,” by Sherwood Anderson is about a young man leaving home. The audience reads about his morning on the way to the train station, and people wishing him luck and saying their goodbyes. Hamlin Garland 's story, “Up the Coolly,” is about a man who comes home to find out that his family has completely changed, since the last time he saw them ten years ago, because work came first, and he never made it a point to visit home. Sherwood Anderson author of the “Departure,” chose to express her writing style by using narrative writing, while Hamlin Garland writer of “Up the Coolly,” uses descriptive writing, both building up tension and mystery.

I was in the third grade at Hildebran Elementary School. I absolutely adored my homeroom. My teacher was Mrs. Raines. She was great, but she wasn’t the best thing about homeroom or the third grade. Jordan was in my homeroom, and if I remember correctly, he was in all of my classes too.
I remember when I was going to start school. The school I went to was called Lincoln Elementary. It was just a short four streets down from my house. I was a little nervous and slightly scared to go. I didn’t want to have to leave home and be gone for so long.
