Last summer I went on vacation to Puerto Rico with my cousins. We did really fun things like snorkeling, a boat ride, and eating at many wonderful places. Although all those sound really fun, I want to talk about the time I met the most cutest, most fluffiest, most friendliest, animal ever. It all started off on a breezy summer night while my cousins and family were chillin’ at our hotel pool. We were quite tired because we had just come back from our filling italian dinner.

When we were done fishing I drove back to the boat dock and my dad went and got the truck and I loaded the boat. We went to the fish cleaning station and started to clean the fish that we had caught. Then we saw my mom 's car coming toward us. She watched us clean the fish and I made my sister touch the slimy fish. I don 't think mom cared much for the slime on my clothes and my stench of fish.
For instance, on the island whenever you are paying a social call to family or friends it is customary to bring an offering. It can be in the form of half a pound of bread, or half a gallon of either juice, or milk. Having a BBQ might result in several pounds of bread or a couple of gallons of milk. Living in separate towns, the tendency to forget our established protocols ends in embarrassment when it dawn on me that I have arrived, empty handed. Another convention you may find in Puerto Rican culture, is that there is always a feast waiting for you.
When I started to fight the fish, he had been close to the boat because by grandpa had been unknowingly reeling in both of our fish. A few minutes later, the fish reached the boat and everyone got to see the massive striped bass that I caught. The best part of the catch was that I did not have to do all of the work for a great fish and my grandpa had to reel in two fish and his own fish happened to be a trash fish. I kept the fish and had it for dinner the following
“She was like a factory with the little snappers. She fed an entire fish head and a sizable portion of the shoulders to a school of piranhas that resided in the caverns of her mouth,” the quotes shows a comparison of aunt Maggie’s eating of fish to that of piranhas, which are a group of ruthless fishes (Hyde, 94). Hyde uses the Creole language to narrate a favorite past time of the Hyde’s family traditions on Spanish Cay. On Sundays, the children were given that opportunity to entertain the adults and they used songs, skits and poems. All these things were conducted in Creole, which Hyde narrates to keep the essence of the meaning.

We got on four more rides before we got hungry, so we met up with my boyfriend’s parents, sister and her friend to figure out what we desired to go eat at. My dad has always said that if I ever got hungry enough, I could eat my weight in crab legs. I also have tried raw oysters, and crazy enough… I liked them. I tried them the first time I went to them beach. Now every time I go to a seafood restaurant my dad and I get a dozen of them. So, I don’t know why I enjoy such different foods, I just can’t help
Also, when we got to the hotel, we got situated and then went swimming and ate supper. During the tournament, our first game that we lost was stressful. We then lost our next couple of games. After that, we won our next game against the Longhorns. With that win, we got a roll and started winning games.
“Ka-plunk”. We drop the anchor, stopping the boat in shallow sandy area where we can spend the afternoon. With little hesitation we are in the water. Splashing fights are immediate, but soon we start an organized game of tag while the grownups relax and prepare lunch aboard the boat. Sandwiches in the cooler, our parents make their way into the water too.
This November, while we were visiting my grandmother at Cape Cod, my dad and I made a delicious dinner in the style of Redwall. We looked at different recipes and decided on Lemon and Butter Trout, along with some October Ale to drink. We did not have access to trout so we bought fresh Cod. We began by cutting open the fish and sliding slices of butter inside the slot. Once the butter was inside the fish, we cut one of out two lemons in half, squeezed one half onto the fish for lemon juice, and laid the second half neatly on top of the fish in thin slices.

After breakfast I would go swimming in my pool to grab all the gold bars. That would take me about a half an hour and all the gold would be worth about a million dollars. After relaxing at about 10:00 I would ride around my neighborhood with my friends and hang out. After that I would go to lunch with my friends in Fig Garden Village at Chipotle, Piology or somewhere else delicious and have an amazing lunch. After lunch I would go to Jamba juice and get a
