“Memories of our lives, of our works, and of our deeds will continue in others,” eloquently spoken by Rosa Parks. I have grown and had a stellar time in 5th grade. I have gone to places I have never gone to before. I have done things I have never done before. Three of the most memorable moments I had in 5th grade was going to Catalina Island, going to the California Science Museum, and reading “Shoe Dog.”
It was a warm, sunny, Fall day and I jumped out of bed because I knew we were going on a trip, but I didn’t know where. My parents took my sister and me to the KCI airport in my mom’s white Denali. We were quietly sitting at the airport when my parents told us that we were going to Disney World. My sister and I were jumping up and down with excitement knowing that an exciting trip was just around the corner.
A vacation is the best when you are with your best friend and family. Myrtle Beach has all kinds of things you can do from cool activities to boardwalks and finally being in the ocean. A vacation has a lot of fun things to do and to see when your there sowe did a lot of stuff.
The wind blows in my face, and I can smell the fresh sea air. However, it is but little relief to the seasickness I am feeling on this crowded ferry with tons of other 7th graders. At least I am with friends. Kiersten, Holly, Jillian, Kayli, Kristen, Kailynn, and I are all going to the Catalina Island Marine Institute. It was a long drive to California, and now we’re on this boat. We’re starving, the teachers said that we would get McDonalds for breakfast, but we never did, and our bus driver said we weren’t allowed to eat on their bus. Of course we did anyway, but the snacks we all brought from home could only get us so far. We managed to walk through the mess of people and get in the long line to buy food. I was hoping that eating something
Florida This year my family went to Florida. It was our first family trip, and my only trip that I actually got to go on a plane! My grandpa was over at our house and he was giving my mom some flowers to put out on our patio, and I was in my room. When my mom and grandpa started a conversation about Florida.
Next weekend I am going IA with mom guys. Lake Tahoe is so beautiful and I would go visit again in the future. I also went ski for the first time near Lake Tahoe too. Fortunately, I did not take my car to CA this trip, used a friend 's car, 2014 Volkswagen. The car was alright to drive we switched off but the car did got stuck in ice when we were going uphill to Lake Tahoe (HAHA) luckily we had two big American young boys passing by and helped to push the car out.
We went to many beaches. I thought the Pacific Ocean was going to be so special but it was just like the Atlantic Ocean back at home. The water was cold and there were stingrays everywhere! It was still worth going to the beaches and having a good time with my family and making many memories that will last a lifetime.
we took tours of lots of beautiful cities. of course our children came along but they were busy on their little new phones we bought them. trust me
At my school, Mesa View Middle School we have a field trip called Catalina island trip. The day of the trip i got at school at about 4:50 am. My groups leader name was Mrs. Acosta otherwise known as a security guard named meachell. The people in my group that i could remember were me, leila, Sammy, Natilly, Maranda, cassidy. There were probably more people but i can’t remember. We were paired up with mr.cruz’s group that had Hayden, Zac, Trevor, and my friend Derek. The bus ride was boring, but the boat ride their was fun. On the boat ride there you were able to walk where ever you wanted to on the boat, and you could be with your friends too. That wasn’t the best part though.
It was a cool breezy, spring night as we set off on our journey. The clocked showed 7pm and our destination was Clearwater Beach, Florida. We crammed into a van and set off on our journey. In the beginning, we shared some laughs. By the end of the journey, we shared even more laughs and fears for the future. Our first conversation contained the topic of the book we had to read over break for Theology Class. St Augustine's Confessions was the assigned book, , but we really didn't mention the book any further. 2 hours in, we stopped for gas. As energetic teenagers we felt alive on this Easter Sunday Night because we got to eat and drink what we wanted. We left our families for an adventure. An adventure led by 3 adults and classmates including my best friend, my ex-girlfriend, and my
Which way to beach? * Flexes bicep and points. “That way, ladies and gents.” Check out those arm muscles—they must’ve taken months of lifting heavy weights in the gym to define.
Kings Island Memoir… “Are you ready for this?” I asked. “As ready as I’ll ever be.” he replied. “Let’s do this!”
Two weeks before going to a Boy Scout camp, Camp Emerald Bay, in July of 2016 I had to complete the PADI prerequisites to be able to acquire my PADI scuba diver certificate. After flying down to California with my troop and my longtime friend, Brendan, we got to Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina Island. I have never really been that big into boy scouts I’ve only stayed with it for so long to obtain my Eagle Scout but I’ve always loved going to the summer camps every year. This year I was especially excited because it would be first time going scuba diving, also this wasn’t a normal boy scout camp for me as I didn’t have to stay in the same cabin as my troop which was really a blessing for me. All the people taking the scuba merit badge and the scuba diving certification stayed in their own campsite near the waterfront. Every morning throughout the week we would scuba dive in the mornings and evenings. The instructors there were great and really helpful to Brendan who is a bigger person making it harder to dive.
“Get off me!” I hissed angrily at my brother Andrew, who had just jumped on top of me at four thirty in the morning. “What are you doing?” I barked at him.
